Just got back from Olivers... had my Benny...

Quiet afternoon planned... The QM is going to watch Tiger Woods lose at golf.. (that's her favorite hobby lately...)

Just got home from meeting Monica.

We went on a guided walking tour to see the Olympic Park - in the rain! It was all very interesting can't wait to see the site finished. Took the tube back into central London & left Monica at Fortnum & Masons where she was meeting the girls for tea. Albert will hopefully post a picture later.

Meeting Monica in the Uk seems to be becoming an annual event.

I'm sure Monica would LOVE to make it over there every year!!

Pictures would be great... Wish I were there now... I'd love to see the girls for "tea"... I told Mandy to include some bubbly for CG's... she said she'd do her best!!!

The stadium behind us in the picture is where the athletics events and the opening and closing ceremonies will take place next year, we can apply for tickets next week. The cycling road races will be coming through our town during the opening weekend.

Weather has been horrible here the last week, rain and rain and rain...then tons and tons of wet and heavy snow...but I'm really very thankful that's all I have to complain about. I feel so sorry for all of the people in Japan and for what they are having to deal with

Howdy! Michelle told me to come here and tell you all something I mentioned on FaceBook, but I can't remember exactly what it was, something along the lines of how FaceBook has been the death of our thread here.

Thinking of Holly. Wish you were here, Holly! We have gotten about eight inches so far. It is the wet, heavy snow that is so great for building snowmen. It is absolutely beautiful outside! Every branch of every tree is covered. So very pretty! I actually got up early to enjoy it.

Unfortunately, turning on the news put a damper on the day. What devastating news for Japan! Way too many scary things going on.

Hope everyone with health problems is feeling better. I am afraid that if I try to mention everyone that I will leave someone out so here is a big !

Hi Donna! We haven't had new snow in longer than I can remember.

Harry goes for a CT scan next month so we will know more then. Hopefully he is still stable. His legs and feet are causing him terrible pain...neuropathy, plantar faciitis and horrible cramping. He has been receiving treatment that has helped just a little. He still drags himself to work so we can hang onto health insurance. He is a toolmaker and on his feet all day. Plus, he works all the overtime he can tolerate as 40 hours do not pay the bills. And believe me, I am a penny pincher and quite good at it! We don't want to dip into our retirement funds until we absolutely have to. Hard times for so many people. As I keep saying, I don't know how he does it.

Oh Donna, I wish things could be easier on Harry. I'm sure you take good care of him at home though. I hope the CT goes well.
