Me too...but have you seen the price :scared1::scared1::scared1:

Just not going to be happening for me :sad2:

Yup. Well, I didn't see DCL's price, I was just searching online and saw what most places charge. I won't pay that price for Tyler though, especially not knowing if he'd be having a good or bad day that particular day. So that also means I probably won't book it for myself because if it happens to be a day he gets kicked out of the kids' club, I'd be screwed and that's too much money to lose. Oh well.......it's just the downside of traveling with him. I've learned the risks and just plan accordingly.

Oops! Have to get ready to leave, sitting in my pajamas and we have to leave in 10 min. ;)

I just went down and told mom that my friend Karen (one of my friends from High School) was coming over to meet us and go to Jacks in about an hour... (she's on her way home from her lake...) HERE??? She said??? Yeah... I told her... and she instantly got up to clean... :rotfl: I told her it's just KAREN... she's not going to care if the house looks lived in... (at least she didn't start with cleaning the walk in closet like she usually does right before company comes... especially on holidays...)

Deb... just an idea for next week...

Thank you! :yay: So far I could only book the first part (LA to Vancouver). The $1200 deposit for the Alaska leg is crazy! So I'll have to book that part later. :thumbsup
Glad we're finally going to meet on the Repo, Holly!!! :woohoo:

I wanna go dog sledding!!!!!! :woohoo:

Hey ladies, just to let you know I went dog-sledding in the Alps in January this year. Two words, poop and pee!!! It was a very smelly and slightly less than exhilarating experience - suffice to say, my nostrils were seriously harmed and I will not be doing it again... Just sayin'... ;)

There are things one expects to hear in the course of a day, and things one does not expect to hear in the course of the day.

I went dog sledding in the Alps is not one of them.

Good point about the dog-sledding, I never would have considered that end of things. ;)

Thanks for sharing Kaz  Suddenly I don't feel so sad about missing out on this experience ;)

 Yes, I can relate to this Ian!

Ian, something you can relate to:

As you know, I had to cancel Thanksgiving :sad1:

Well...my daughter and SIL had an opportunity to visit Chicago last week. They were able to meet up with SIL's parents, who had a trailor and were visiting the city for a few days. They absolutely loved Chicago!!!

Someday I will get to Chicago and I will be calling on you . I will be waiting for nice weather BTW ;)

Hi Kathe! :yay:

Poop and Pee isn't my idea of fun either... and Samantha Brown made it look so easy...

Have to go eat something... had a late snack at Jacks with a friend from high school... lots of laughs...(lots of things we did back then that we didn't get caught for....:rolleyes1)

Had fun today after dinner, we met at a park with Tyler's teacher and her 3 kids. This is the 3rd time we've gotten together over the summer. She just loves Tyler and he enjoys playing with her kids (specifically her 5-yr old daughter--the other 2 girls are 2 and 11). Her 11-yr old daughter keeps asking if she & Tyler can trade places the rest of the summer. :scared1: No thanks!

Nan....thanks for the offer to have Wil pop out some Mickey heads for me. That's very generous. But I'm not going to need them after all. I found an alternative plan and was able to get what I needed. Just a little mystery that John is cooking up for October. I'm not allowed to tell you until we do it.:confused3:confused3:rolleyes1:rolleyes1:confused3:confused3

My leg is still very painful today since they scrubbed at it yesterday. I'm taking a half a pain killer so my sleep schedule is all off again.

I chatted on FB with one of my old best friends from NYC days. She is now living in New Jersey.....just 40 minutes from John's job. She has a beautiful quiet unknown beach 20 minutes from her house. We made plans to do a beach day together on Tuesday next week. I'm so thrilled. I'll get this leg soaking in the ocean. That should fix it.

I'm leaving with John in the morning when he goes to work. Then after I drop him off, I'll meet Gail at her house and she can drive from there. I'll be back in time to pick up John at the end of the day.

Gail and I used to go to the East End beaches on Long Island long before I met John. We said it's been over two decades since we sat on a beach together. I can't wait until Tuesday.
