Nan - I didn't even know trading patches was possible until I saw your post. So I looked it up, and placed my order, and Shaelyn will be happy to trade with Molly. ::yes::

Marilyn - Shaelyn would be happy to trade with your 2 granddaughters as well. ::yes:: Girl Guides Canada has a website where you can order patches for trading, UK Girl Guides probably has something similar.

Deborah - Is Olivia still in Guides? And if so, does she want to trade as well?

I liked the movie... but you have to get past the bit with Samantha... that was over the top this time.

I'm waiting for my sister to get home from work.

Oh and I guess I should go and start packing...:lmao::lmao::lmao:

I wish I could take Brian's Mac home with me. I guess this will be on the top of my list of stuff to get soon...

Not yet... I've been doing some actual work this afternoon. My sister just got home... so we have to negotiate dinner and then I'm hoping we go to Marble Slab later for ice cream. My clothes are spread across 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. We played Musical rooms this weekend with the kids home and with Project Graduation... whatever bed was open when you got home was yours...:upsidedow

I've been like THAT for years... :rotfl:

Well... Dairy Queen won out... even though I would have liked to go to Marble Slab... oh well...

Hi Friends....we're back!!! We came home early and got here last night. We did everything we wanted to do and then couldn't justify spending the money to do nothing for the last 2 days....so we came home. Hershey is nice, but it's not Orlando. We have been spoiled by the mouse. There's so much to do in Orlando that you can never get it all in so you take many trips. We had only done day trips to Hershey in the past and now I know why.

We got there Saturday afternoon and headed out to Harrisburg, the Capital. It was a run down depressed area. We just drove through and didn't stop. We continued on to the island in the middle of the river....I think it was called City Island. That was nice. We did the riverboat murder mystery dinner cruise. We enjoyed it, but it was raining the whole time.

On Sunday we had an awesome brunch at the hotel, played mini golf in the rain, swam in the indoor pool and went out to a casino to play the slots and have dinner. We hated the casino, but dinner was great.

On Monday we went to Hershey Park, went to the Disney outlet store and checked out a local winery. Hershey has a lot of roller coasters and we don't ride them. So we did all the rides we wanted, had lunch and in three hours we were done. We were angry that they charged us $20 to park close to the entrance despite the fact that we have a handicap tag. We should have only had to pay $10 for regular parking not $20 for preferred parking. Our tag was hanging in plain site for them to see. They took advantage of us and that's not right. The Disney outlet store was great for kids, but didn't have anything for adults....we bought a Tink towel and that's it....we were in and out in five minutes. The winery was a joke. We drove there and never got out of the car. It was at a private residence and the winery was in their garage.

On the drive to Hershey we got a flat tire, changed it on the road, was delayed by the local police, then ended up buying two new tires and having them mounted as soon as we arrived in town. That was a $250 set back upon arrival. I thought of Monica and Nan getting a flat tire on the way to the port.

We did everything we wanted to do in a two night stay. There was nothing else for us to do so we came home Monday night. Since we left after 11:00 am we were charged for the third night even though we were already home. It's ok, we were happy to have our satellite TV back. They didn't have many channels so we had to order a $15 pay per view movie each night we were there. We saw Date Night and The Bounty Hunter. In the end...dollars for value, we could have spent the same amount of money or less and had a much better time in Orlando. John and I said to each other.....now we know why we keep going back to Orlando for every vacation.....we are so spoiled.

Pictures to follow....as soon as I DL them and get them onto Photobucket.

Oh, then I couldn't get onto the DIS boards while away. We only had the netbook with us. I tried logging on and it wouldn't accept my password. I forgot what it is because on my laptop at home, I haven't logged in for three years. And I missed you all!!!

Monica, I got your emails about the Repo and Alaska.....I'll get back to you tomorrow.

Michelle, I got your email and have no clue what it's about.

I'm not feeling all that well today. I caught a bug somewhere and I'm feeling a little washed out. I'm going to rest up today and hope that I feel better tomorrow.

welcome home Deb!:goodvibes

Marilyn/Michelle - soory you ladies had a poor nights sleep. I was beat last night, went to bed and crashed right out, but still feel tired today.

Sometimes that happens too doesn't it? Probably just the wrong kind of sleep to feel refreshed. Hard to get through the day too.

Ooh, good. I will have a nice read later.
Not much reading, mostly pictures and some video. I still have a lot more to go, but am getting closer. I think I'm up to September.....no, the next one will be October. :thumbsup2

Aw Deb, sorry your trip wasn't all you'd hoped.
 And to get sick on top of all that. Hope you feel better quickly!

I thought I'd check in.

It's odd but I suddenly stop receiving emails that there are new postings here. I just realized this after a few days.

I am still sick. Since I'm in Chicago I finally got to a doctor. My doctor wasn't available so I was so desperate I took an evening appointment with any of the doctors in the practice.

As it turns out he was quite good. The doctor I saw thinks that I either have a mild walking pneumonia or bronchitis. I'm on antibiotics now and there's an order for a chest x-ray if it doesn't improve. It's been at least 3 weeks that this has been going on.
