Oooh, Holly the cupcake queen!!!!! How fab. I used to love baking whereas I never ever liked cooking. Now I never bake as we just eat it like there is no tomorrow, and I still hate cooking!!! I have to cook though but get fed up of thinking of what to make, and can't be bothered with anything that needs more than 4 ingredients!!!:lmao: Also John is pretty boring where food is concerned - a real meat and 3 veg man. He will eat rice and pasta if someone serves it to him, but wouldn't say thank you to me for cooking it for him!!! I have those when he has a pizza these days since I have been on a low fat healthier diet. I love pasta!!! But the sauces are usually full of fat. I think I could eat pasta just on its own actually. Ahhhhh, food!!!

Does John ever cook for you?

Does John ever cook for you?

Well he never really got the hang!!! Or I wouldn't let him.:lmao: Not as many guys in those days did really. To be honest I was a stay at home mum, just working part time now and again, which continued when the children were older, so it was the done thing really then for me to cook. He can do basics, but it would be such hard work letting him too loose in the kitchen now!!! We do however do the preparation together these days. He did rustle up a few things when I was poorly, but I wasn't eating much then anyway.

Good (late) morning - I awoke with the dreaded migraine this morning - should have known...

Still haven't eaten yet which makes it worse.

Marilyn - nothing yet for Paul - he seems to have taken a liking to my old lifestyle of a small part time group of legal clients and tending to the kiddos. I should be happy with this - as I do like parts of working again - but really I just want to be at home so still a struggle I'm afraid :sad2:

Funny to hear you talk of cooking - Paul is really the one that cooks for us with any regular fashion at home and he is good at it too. I'm glad to have found him - as I have friends that aren't so lucky even in this the modern age

It's quiet here at the moment - Willie at baseball (Paul too) Molly at camp. Sounds like the right time to head back to bed :cloud9:

Having a nice time... will check in with more later or when I get home... I don't know how these people get through life - actually they hire people to do everything for them...

I love this picture best over all the ones you posted to day on FB. Just love her freckles and big smile! :goodvibes

Somewhat of a productive day, or at least a little bit. My mom popped over for a surprise visit, which was nice, but sadly, it was about an hour after I took Tyler to his dad's. She came to bring his birthday gift. I told her I know they wouldn't mind if we stopped over there so she could see him, but she didn't want to impose (understandable). She took me out to get a new battery for my car. I wasn't having problems, but it's the original battery (the car is 7 years old and it's a 5-year battery), and since we're driving so far, I didn't want to risk it deciding to die halfway between here and Florida. She wanted to do that for me. Nice surprise! :goodvibes

After my mom left, I mowed the front yard, but the back can wait until we get back from Florida, or maybe I'll get ambitious over the next couple days and do it.

Then I spent a bit of time starting to update Tyler's blog (which has turned out to be not much of a blog, but more like an album). I hadn't put anything on there since last June when we were in Florida! I promised Tyler I'd get it up to date so his dad can check it to see what he's up to while we're in FL. The OCD part of my brain won't let me skip all of last year, I just have to put photos on there from lots of things we've done since then. :thumbsup2

And I did clean the kitchen a little bit. Might still clean the piggies' cage tonight before I head to bed. Oh, and I do have to still find our DVD player for the car. We haven't used it since driving to Tennessee last July. Not too exciting weekend!

Or find one that will eat cereal or frozen pizza for dinner on the nights you don't eat out :lmao:

:rotfl: Yeah, that would work, but I want to try to get healthy sooner or later. :thumbsup2 Oh....he needs to like to mow too. ;)

Sooooo tired, but don't want to go to bed until the tornado warning is over with in case I need to run across the street to my neighbors' house (they have a basement and I don't). I think it's almost over with, I think they said until 12:45am.

Good move Holly!!!:thumbsup2

When are you setting off on your road trip. How long should it take you?

We are leaving early Thursday morning. It's a 20 hour drive straight through, but we're stopping in Tennessee to visit my brother and his family, I expect to be there by 6pm, so it's the 1/2-way point. We're going to spend the night there to visit, swim, and relax, then leave early Friday morning and hope to be at Heather's house around 6pm-ish. Tyler is so excited about the long drive. He loves, loves, loves road trips because he says there's so much to see. He's such a great traveler. Last time we drove to Tennessee, when we got there, he said, "Wow, we're here already? That was quick!" ;)
