sounds like a great day Holly :thumbsup2
It was. I would have loved more time at the beach, and would have stayed if it were just a little rainy, but the sky was almost black coming across and it was obvious it would be a big storm. That's OK, I plan on us going there lots this summer. :thumbsup2

I was still coughing and blowing my nose like crazy (doesn't seem possible for that much stuff to come from one nose!), but feel just about normal, so this must be the tail end of my crud. :thumbsup2 Heading to bed early, all the driving wore me out, but it sure was a fun day! :goodvibes

I only have a few minutes...

Hope everyone who is feeling ill feels better soon :grouphug:

So many of you have very exciting travel plans :goodvibes Have fun!

Marilyn, are you feeling better? I'm hoping you are feeling stronger every day...but getting pampered just a little still

I had the weekend off and it was great sunny warm weather :thumbsup2 I spent hours and hours digging and planting flowers. Exhausted but happy!

Today I went to work and by noon the skies opened up and it poured...but it also thundered and lightning and the winds were something else :scared1: We had water pouring in our store at doors and through the ceiling. Quite a mess. The parking lot was flooded. At home, my house is dry inside but I don't think all of my newly planted flowers are going to make it:sad2: In some areas of the city they got tons of hail...so at least I missed that! We are still under a storm watch, next system is due to arrive in a couple of hours.

Michelle, didn't you have a hail storm last year? I seem to remember you posting pics of hail in your flower boxes?

Take care everyone.

Hi Kathe. Glad you had a nice weekend off work, but sorry about the weather. We're all a bit fed up over here with our weather and wonder when summer will finally arrive. We still have heating on at times, mostly evenings of course, but goodness me, it is June now. I hope the plants recover too.
I am almost fully recovered now thank you, but trying to keep the pampering going for a little while yet.:lmao: If I was working I would be back next week i think, so am presuming I have to be careful till then, and still with heavy lifting for a while. Still some pain like I was suffering before, not gallbladder related, so I hope that settles or I will have to go see about that.:confused3

Sad news on my Navy Seal nephew. He washed out of the program - he came home for the weekend (I think to get some mama love) I haven't gotten the whole story - but I'm sure it sucks to be Taylor right now. Something about his whole crew messed up and he took a fall for it :sad2: Prayers for him please - for both strenght to get thru this disappointment and moreover to get a good reassignment that doesn't send him to Iraq any time too soon :sad2::scared1::sad1:

Aaaw, so sorry about that. It must be such a blow for him, and hard to deal with. Will he get another chance?

I was understanding for a while, but now it's just B.S. It does bother me, I have to admit I was pretty sad for a while, he's so fun to be around, and he really did act interested, but he's now just one fish out there in the sea where plenty more are swimming around ready to be caught. :thumbsup2

It is understandable to be sad Holly. It all sounded so promising and with you enjoying each others company and all! He may reconsider, but he does need to be a little more forward doesn't he???

Can't see the video but the the opening picture is so cute.:goodvibes

Work is starting to drive me bonky today. We are still down from the fire on May 19th, and now they are painting the inside of the roof outside my office. There's big manlifts running to get the bodies up high, so between paint fumes and exhaust, its not the most pleasant place. Hopefully they'll be done that section this afternoon and tomorrow will be less odorous:headache:

Just as an FYI, Mr & Mrs Woody checked in from Milan today. The have been traveling Europe ever since getting off the EBTA.

If I remember correctly, they come home for a hunk of June/early July then head off again and will be bringing the Magic back home too. Now THAT's living the good life!

Sound great, wish it was me ;)

Make sure you get plenty of fresh air Shannon. Neither of those two fumes are good for you.

Thanks Marilyn & Bubba :goodvibes

I'm definitely getting fresh air. My group just didn't do some of our work that required us to be in that area until they had moved into another section.

I'm happy this day is almost over. Time to get out of here, get my girls, run a few errands and head home for a quiet evening.:goodvibes

I asked John if he wanted a spa day....I told him they even have chocolate massages. He chose to skip it, but said that we can go into the restaurants at the Hershey Hotels and have drinks. So we might do some bar hopping looking for chocolate drinks.;):goodvibes;)

They were debuting a chocolate massage on the Wonder last month. So you can try one in Oct if you want :)

Hi Everyone :wave2:

Just stopping by to say hi and let everyone know I think of you all often (and read a lot at work - just can't post there)

Hope everyone if feeling better soon!!

I just submitted a quote request for the podcast cruise. Any thieves booked on that one?

We had a nice day - went to the boardwalk in Santa Cruz got the kids annual passes - bummer thing is with we can't attend the Free Friday bands because the kids have play practice all summer :sad2: oh well....I'm sure we will go enough anyways to make the passes worthwhile - or as Wilson said they pay for themselves :rotfl2: ya right - after Mom paid for them in the first place

Sad news on my Navy Seal nephew. He washed out of the program - he came home for the weekend (I think to get some mama love) I haven't gotten the whole story - but I'm sure it sucks to be Taylor right now. Nan, glad you had a nice weekend :thumbsup2 Sorry to hear about Taylor though  Sending prayers and hugs.

I was understanding for a while, but now it's just B.S. It does bother me, I have to admit I was pretty sad for a while, he's so fun to be around, and he really did act interested, but he's now just one fish out there in the sea where plenty more are swimming around ready to be caught. :thumbsup2

Awww..sorry Holly  One of these days your prince will arrive :goodvibes

So we went to South Haven, the storms held off, got about an hour and a half into the drive and it started raining, was pouring by the time we reached our destination. We got there a half hour before sail time, and the captain called it off & told us to come back to try for the next sail 2 hours after that one. The rain stopped, so we headed to the beach. We had fun for about an hour until the next storm started rolling in from across the lake (Chicago), the sky and water turned amazing colors, so we watched it get darker until the wind picked up, and I knew that meant the rain would start in minutes, so I rushed Tyler out, we managed to get changed and into our car as the first raindrops fell. We watched the storm for a bit, then I drove around showing him all the places and things from my childhood, along with stories. He said "Wow, this place really has a lot of history!" ;) Well, yeah, for me of course. Went back to the marina, the sail was cancelled of course, so we at least went through the Maritime Museum. We still had a fun day, despite the rain changing our plans, and I told Tyler we'll come back next month.....well, he won't be home for more than a couple days in June, so we'll have to go in July. :thumbsup2 Pictures on Facebook, forgot my camera, so I had to use my phone. Link for Kathe (if it works): http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2063790&id=1321339355&l=c75c19e3df

Thanks for sharing the link :thumbsup2 Worked great! You certainly made the best of the weather. Glad you were able to salvage the weekend despite the rain!
