Don't feel guilty you two - these things happen. The sun was so much more powerful than we knew, and I don't think any of us had had much sun by the time we went on the cruise. I think a whole load of folk were sunburnt. I was in the shade just about the whole time, but still had a slightly burnt back.At least you are better prepared for the future now. Full sun block!

I am surprised anyone outside the UK heard of the fire.

What a sad story, just awful. Watching the video, it was amazing how quickly the fire grew. How terrible for your neighbor to lose her husband and both kids. Such a tragedy.

There was a part in the video covered by a blue box with a message saying it had been edited after some comments from people. I wonder what was taken out.

I am thinking that people are putting the fire out on someone on the ground.

I scheduled my tests for next Monday. I'm getting an xray to see if there is any bone cancer and I'm getting an ultrasound to see if there is any circulation blockage in my leg. The ultrasound is going to be extremely painful. I'll have to take pain meds and bring a washcloth to bite. I'm not looking forward to it, but I know it has to be done.

Well, what do you know!!! I had a phone call and have a tentative date for Saturday 22nd!!! My surgeon has given up doing general surgical procedures, so they have had a locum in but he is leaving. They are interviewing for a permanent replacement and hope he will be in place by then. They are trying to get a theatre and the day surgery ward organised for that day(they normally only work weekdays) and the Consultant's secretary has put me to the top of the list for that day. She said they are trying to catch up and it should be that day or around then. I have a friend who is a medical secretary at the hospital and she phoned her about me!!

Fingers crossed the date's confirmed asap, Marilyn...

Today is the 25th Anniversary of the Bradford City Fire disaster.

I remember that. May 1985 was awful as later in the month it was the Heysel Stadium Disaster... Terrible tragedies...

I went to the Dr. today... because KEN told me I had to...

(sorry if it's tmi...)

She thinks I have been od'ing on estrogen and the other Drs. gave me the wrong meds to help. So... they put me back on the pill... and I'm hoping that helps. If it just gets me back to where I was before (which was right after the cruise...) then I will be good.

Hi Friends!! I love all the pictures and the memories. Can't wait for the reunion cruise.....Fantasy 2012 right!

Just an update on John.....they denied his request. Human Resources told him that there is no real good reason for them to deny him. It's a lateral move. They told him to go to Afirmative Action and fight it because it's discrimination against him personally. UGH! Nothing is ever easy. I'll probably have to get my doctors to write notes now stating my current health conditions. They will easily do it. I've been under their care for many years. It's just a pain in the butt to have to go through all this. John said he wishes he could just move to Orlando now and go to work for the Mouse. Me too, but it's not going to work out right now. We have the house, we have the animals, we have my leg....all that has to be taken care of first. John will just have to fight it and see what happens.
