I need some special prayers please...
Some of you have seen my posts on FB...
My Uncle Frank is very sick. He's 84 and he's really had his health problems over the years...
He was admitted to the hospital on Saturday for what they thought was a simple hernia... but he developed pneumonia very quickly and he is very sick.
My mom talked to my Aunt Winnie this morning... She thinks that he only has days to go...
I'm sad but I'm also ok with his going because you kind of get to a point where you just say "God... take him but make it peaceful..."...
I think it's getting to that time...
So... please... if you can... if it's time... ask that it be peaceful...![]()
So sorry Michelle. Thinking of you.

Couldn't post this on FaceBook. Had an awesome lunch today! Our office manager asked me to join her and 2 other co-workers for lunch, I told her I can't, it's not in the budget, she told me to just come and the firm will buy. So of course I said yes, we went to a cute little Mexican place, had a wonderful lunch, and she used the firm's credit card. She told us "This is the firm's way of saying thank you for all your hard work". I asked her if "the firm" even knows they're buying us lunch, and she said, "No, but what they don't know won't hurt them!"
Well......in that case, next time let's go someplace where we can get lobster!

Fantastic Holly. So great to be appreciated isn't it?
Deborah, once again Marilyn has good advice! Listen to her
I'm envious that you could find three dresses though. I shop and shop and shop and am lucky if I can find anything I am looking forI hate shopping!
I have my red mid leg length dress for formal nights and another nice dress for semi formal. Just found out my friend who we are sharing a table with has gone and bought 4(yes FOUR) LONG formal dresses and taking them ALL!!!

I've already decided to keep plying mom with vodka... the Dr. did say to keep her hydrated... hey why not... Gin worked for the other QM... didn't it Marilyn?![]()
Well something worked to be sure, though alcohol is not the best thing at keeping people hydrated!!!!!!!!!
I just realized that I didn't give you guys the update on Ian's MRI. Thank you for your prayers for my boy
Apparently there are many pollups in Ian's nose & sinuses. They aren't playing surgery yet...they are going to try steroids 1st, then surgery if necessary. Doesn't seem like cancer is a thought (THANK GOD!!). Cystic Fibrosis seems to have been ruled out too by the sweat test, but that was also when the thought was that there was only 1 pollup.
So...I guess this means it's a wait and see thing now.
That is good news Monica, though it must be uncomfortable for Ian at the moment.

Did I already tell the story about my son and the pork chop? I was at work, my husband was at home with him and told him he couldn't have dessert until he ate his meat....well I get a call at work saying they are taking my son to the hospitalHe had stuck the meat up his nose and was having trouble breathing and they couldn't get it out
Of course he was 2 not quite a baby!
Oh dear.
We had to go to Casualty with our daughter when she was not quite 2 as she had stuffed cotton wool up her nose which had eventually got nasty and smelly!!!! She had seen me cleaning her baby brother's nose, so did the same to her own(kind of)
When our eldest son was about 7 I think, his teacher brought him home from school as he had a small silver ballbearing stuck up his nose.

Thanks Deb - I'm ok today. just tired...but excited for Molly's 13th birthday tomorrow
Mom is ok - Lee takes her to the doctor tomorrow to have her drained
sadly her surgeon took the nodes this time because they felt invovled. I don't think it's going to be good news
sadly mom doesn't remember from minute to minute about things like "the drain" being important.
the sister drama is over for now since we don't have to be together![]()
Still thinking of you all Nan. Molly's special birthday will be a lovely diversion for you.
