Sorry about the pain Michelle. Shouldn't you be taking bone relaxers though, not muscle relaxers!!!;)

Good idea... :rotfl:

Hi Marilyn, I'm sorry it's so cold there for you. I hope you packed some cold weather clothing, unlike me and John when we were there recently. We packed for 50 degree weather and it was low 30s when we got there.

If you don't have the proper clothing you can always do what John and I did, go shopping. Sweatshirts and electric blankets really help.

Stay warm and have fun.

And ummmmmm.. who gave you THAT idea??? :rolleyes1

We're up to about 2 feet already and it's coming down fast. John said it's heavy wet snow that packs down really well. He said if he was 20 years younger and all the kids and grands were here...they would all be outside building things. How cool.

They're still saying we're getting 2 inches an hour until about 8:00 pm. We'll have at least 3 feet by then, maybe more. WOW! That's a lot of snow. It'll be dark soon, so we won't get to see how much it ends up at until tomorrow morning.

Angel, the weather dog, keeps going outside to lie in it then she comes through her doggie door covered in white and shakes. EEK!:laughing::laughing:

Wow... can you believe it... we don't have anything more than a dusting??? :sad2:

We are meeting Connie and Chuck for a meal tonight!!!:yay: Longhorn Steakhouse I think. Be great to see them.

Tell them I said Hi!!! :grouphug:

Snow at home so far.

This is my car.

Ok... that's what MY house usually looks like in snow storms...

Deb - stay inside!! YUCK!!

I ended up cancelling my trip to MD this weekend....more dissapointing I'm sure to me than the little girl :(

Oh well....now doing tons of OT (must pay off those cruises) LOL

Honey... sweetcheeks will love you whenever you see her.. I figured that out five times over...:hug:

Ooooh, Deb, that snow outside would have me eating all the goodies I have inside my house, all snuggled up on the sofa in front of the fire, watching TV. As long as the electric is on of course!

Monica, so sorry you aren't getting to Maryland, but it looks like it will be pretty bad there. I hope you can manage a belated birthday visit. Also, we need to arrange something for next week - I haven't forgotten.

Michelle, do you feel any better.

I'M sure you all saw my status this morning about the earthquake we had at 3:59 a.m.?

No we had an earthquake about 50 miles from here at 3:59 a.m.

Well our tv satellite is out....probably too much snow on a tree branch outside interferring with the signal. I could have just watched what I have recorded except that the electric glitched on and off and then cut off power to the tv/satellite. Now my tv is looking for satellite signal and it's not going to find it....so it stays stuck searching and I can't watch my recordings. I just hope I recorded American Idol in full before I lost the signal. It's group night during Hollywood week.

Hi Shannon, did you have to buy a smaller size when you bought all your new cruise clothes? You certainly looked smaller in the recent pictures you have been posting.:cutie:

::yes:: I'm 2 sizes down from a year ago, and it feels good. Progress has really slowed down for me on the scale, but the shape is still changing, and the scale will start moving again. :goodvibes

Deb, are you ever getting ridiculous snowfalls. Good thing Kris had to cancel.

Deborah, Holly and Kathe - thanks for the feedback on dolphin swims. Since Ken's not really interested in it, and I'm nervous I'll be disappointed, we are leaning towards a SeaHelmet Dive.:thumbsup2
Which 'the pie' might that be then? I'm willing to try it, perhaps, depending, only if, maybe, maybe not, not sure!!

Marilyn - sounds like you're having fun even if the weather isn't cooperating. Its great seeing the pictures show up on Facebook :thumbsup2 Have fun with Connie & Chuck!

Ian - sorry works been poopy and insane. Did you feel the earthquake at your place?

Monica - too bad you had to cancel your trip this week, but like Michelle's says, there's a little girl that will be happy to see you whenever you get there :goodvibes

Well... I made my ressies for Brian's graduation today... flying in June...

EXCEPT... that I have to do a layover in ORLANDO!!!!!

Anyone wanna guess what it's gonna take me to get on that next plane to TX???? :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

That's easy! Brian's graduation will get you on the plane! :lmao: Which reminds me, I need to book my nephews grad day off for June. Thanks Michelle!:goodvibes

Ian - sorry works been poopy and insane. Did you feel the earthquake at your place?

We never felt the earthquake. It happened at about 4:00 a.m. I know it was felt in the city because people I work with who live in the city, not too far from us felt it. We never did.

I suspect that because we have the L running behind our house, we're oblivious to rumbling and shaking.

It's digging out day...John is outside with the beast doing the driveway and the kid is out there with the tire track snowblower cleaning up the walkways. They have been at it for 3 hours already and they're still not done. There's a lot of snow. I'm not sure how much we ended up with....somewhere around 2 feet. I didn't get to take pictures of it this morning before they started the clean up. They were out there early and I was still just having coffee. I'll see if I can snap a few pics after the clean up is finished.

I'm happy that my satellite signal has returned. The sun must have melted the snow on a tree branch until it fell. Signal came back intermittantly then strong. It happens everytime we get a good snow storm. Plus John says this snow is heavy and wet, so it's really sticking to the evergreen trees all around the yard.

So John is having way too much fun in his truck today. He said he went for a wild ride in the beast...sideways down the field next door. Wow! He said that our neighbors' backhoe and tractor didn't make it up and down our hill...only an ATV and the beast made it. The others got stuck. He's a proud pappa.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

:lmao: :lmao:
so when John did the slide down the hill in the beast did he do a Dukes of Hazzard yell?
That's the image that popped into my head reading your post, Deb.:lmao:

ohhh you would have thought he would have learned his lesson with the Xmas tree incident...

Oh, that's compeling.................

.

Why? are you going somewhere???

Looks like it, have a B&B in London, a private tour in Madeira, a ride on a boat to get over there, a plane ride home. Still a couple gaps to fill, but we're getting there!

My big challenge will be to not buy anything for the trip! I know I'll dream up something I've just got to have, but I'll try to restrain myself.

OK, I MIGHT get new sneakers next week and start breaking them in. Unfortunately I will have to look like a tourist, as I can't stand and walk for very long in any other kind of shoe (though I can do pretty well in my crocs).

Anybody have any favorite sneaker (trainers, Marilyn) styles or brands?

.

The QM always suggests you throw in a sweater... but she tells me that in the summer too... ;)
