Oh, and thanks for the hugs:hug:

Smells good... we'll see in a few minutes if it tastes as good...

1 microwave
1 can of chicken broth
Add 1 can of water and heat

Delicious :thumbsup2

WAKE UP...

(ESPECIALLY YOU LAZY A$$ED SUN LOVING TURTLE HOLDING CM STALKING CRUISERS!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:)

(AND HOLLY... :flower3:)

:rotfl2: Michelle, we heard you all the way over here because......guess what time we woke up.......1:00!!! :rotfl2: OK, well actually, we got up at 8, had breakfast, then we both went back to bed until 1. Truly a lazy Sunday! But we made up for it by cleaning the whole rest of the day until his dad picked up him at 5. Except for taking a break to color a picture together in a giant coloring book we discovered buried under stuff in his bedroom. It's like Christmas.....we're finding all kinds of cool things in there! :thumbsup2 And lots of not so pleasant surprises. Tyler would uncover a gross area full of......um.....mouse evidence, then I'd come in with the vaccuum and disinfectant. :sad2: What a horrible mess they made. We're finding lots of things they chewed through, lots of empty candy wrappers with chew marks on them, etc. Just when I think we got all of that mess cleaned up, we find more areas we didn't think to check. :scared:

Please no talk of food today :flower3: That grilled chicken and baked potato sounds so good about now. I'm having a wee bit of a medical procedure tomorrow and can't eat anything today or tomorrow until dinner time :headache: I was up at 5:30 AM today to go to work and make up the hours I missed last weekend due to my sore back, so it's going to be a very long long day :faint:

Ooooh, sorry to hear. I hope everything is OK.

We ended up out of town for the weekend. Watched a couple soccer games that were very one-sided so not super interesting, but at least it was our team winning. Then we went shopping today with the plan to get Shaelyn some pants. Ended up getting her 3 pairs, and had to get Kaleigh a pair when I saw some with Belle & Cinderella stitched on the legs. Can't deny a girl pants with her 2 favourite princesses! And then we got some new luggage (at 70% off :cool1:) and a new waterproof camera :cool1:. So we ended spending way more than planned and getting home way later than planned, but overall a good weekend :goodvibes

For the life of me I don't get what the big deal is with this rain forest room.

Then again I don't really get the whole point of scrapbookind and why women do that either.

I haven't even seen the rain forest room yet, one time I'll have to at least look at it! and scrapbooking is for men too :thumbsup2

Shannon (& Ken) loved the pictures. Willie was confused because the Olympics don't start until 2/12. had to explain that's just the opening ceremonies - seems silly to not just have the ceremonies at the real opening dates. We'll be watching them on :happytv: are you guys going to see any events?

Just to clarify Nan, we were at the Olympic TORCH Relay ceremony here in Quesnel. The torch is running through the country before it heads to Vancouver for the opening ceremonies on Feb 12, much like it does in all Olympic countries. Our Olympic organizers are having little ceremonies (some bigger than others) in each centre the torch arrives at. Our little town of Quesnel is one of them.

Here's a bit of info on the torch relay:
2010 Olympic Torch Relay

The Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games truly are Canada’s Games as the 2010 Olympic Torch Relay becomes the longest in history to be contained within the Host Country.

Canada is full of inspiring stories — as are Canadians. These unique and motivational stories will be shared in the months leading up to the relay, and during the time Canadians will transport the Olympic Flame from Athens, Greece to Vancouver.

The 2010 Olympic Torch Relay presented by Coca-Cola and RBC will inspire and engage Canadians from coast to coast to coast as it travels along the path of northern lights — the route the Olympic Flame will illuminate as it travels towards the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games.

The 2010 Olympic Torch Relay in brief:

* Over 100 days in length.
* Over 1,000 communities and places of interest where torchbearers will carry the Olympic Flame.
* Nearly 200 celebrations hosted by communities in every province and territory.
* Approximately 90 per cent of Canada’s population will be within a one-hour drive of experiencing the Olympic Flame.
* Over 45,000 kilometres will be travelled.
* Extensive tour of the North including a planned visit to Alert, Nunavut, the northernmost permanently inhabited community in the world.
* 12,000 people will have the honour of being an Olympic Torchbearer and will help carry the flame to Vancouver, a majority of whom will be selected through public programs.
* Presenting partners Coca-Cola and RBC are leading the public torchbearer application process and invite Canadians to share stories about how they are building healthier individuals and create a stronger Canada. The RBC's contest closed July 15, 2009 and the Coca-Cola's contest closed August 17, 2009.

The 2010 Olympic Torch Relay will begin in Canada on October 30, 2009 and conclude at the Opening Ceremony signaling the start of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games on February 12, 2010

Hopefully that clears it up. Those weren't the opening ceremonies. Those will be MUCH more grandiose. This was just a little celebration to bring a piece of the Olympics to our community (afterall we are paying a pretty penny for these...).

And a few more pics from the Olympic torch relay event here in Quesnel.

Here is a pic of Kaleigh holding one of the Olympic torches:

Here is a pic of Kaleigh and I holding the torch:

Kaleigh was nervous in line and at first didn't want one by herself but when it was our turn the lady asked if she wanted one and she was all grins saying yes. So we did one with her alone, one with her and I, and one with just me. She was all smiles about it.

And to answer any questions, no we won't be going to any of the events. We just don't have the time with work and such. Plus tickets are VERY expensive and were tough to come by. Add to that the traffic nightmare that will be Vancouver, I think it is best if we just stay away and watch it all on TV. Perhaps if there was a way Shannon and I could go down by ourselves i wouldn't mind fighting the crowds, but the idea of doing it with two little kids doesn't thrill me.

Great pics of the torch ceremony!!! Must have been a great event! :goodvibes

Well John is supposed to be flying to Amsterdam this morning to help run their exhibition stand at a big Audio Visual exhibition there. He is still in the aircraft on the ground here at the airport waiting for the snow to clear from Amsterdam airport. Been almost a 2 hour delay now.:sad2: No snow was or even still is forecast.

Our son and their Sale director went overnight by ferry with all the gear and are stopped on the motorway in Holland because of the snow!!

I hope it all clears soon for them. At least there is plenty of time to set up ready for the exhibition to start tomorrow, but this is still a pain.

Last year John was going over just to look at the exhibition and ended up not being able to go because the snow made them cancel his flight and the rest for that day too.

I think he might be getting away any time soon. 3 hours, so far, in the plane for an hour (if that) flight!!! I think a lot of passengers have got off as many are businessmen going for meetings, so no doubt not worth it now for them.

Actually, I don't get it either. And I'm a woman. Karenteed... ;)

That sounds DULL!!! How horrid to be stuck in the plane too... :sad2:

Hope he's on his way now, Marilyn...
I'm a little worried as Richard is flying to Moscow tomorrow for 2 days - hope he can get back on Thursday.

It is dull sitting on a plane going nowhere. In the grand scheme of things I guess it will be only 4 and half hours all in, but somehow the sitting on the tarmac is worse than moving. The CC also can't serve hot drinks etc.

I hope Richard gets away and back. At least this country is ok weather wise this week, but elsewhere, particularly Russia, not always as good. I think Moscow must be well used to coping with bad weather should it happen though.

I would think so too. Afterall, Chicago rarely grinds to a halt due to snow.

I would tend to think that making a booking has the effect of improving one's odds.

Hi Friends! So last night I got a call from my friend Kat in AZ. Me and John sailed with Kat and DH Jim in Sept 2001 on our first cruise. We sailed with them again in Sept 2006. Now Kat tells me that they want to do the Westbound Transatlantic in Sept 2011. Wow. I need to get on that boat because I love sailing with Kat and Jim. BUT I already have three cruises booked for 2011. How can I possibly add a fourth? There's no way. BUT I still emailed Sue Ellen at DU to send me a quote. Am I nuts?:confused3:lmao:

Good morning all :)

Marilyn / Karen - hope John & Richard's travel goes well

Deb - ::yes:: you are definitely nuts, but in a great way :goodvibes:goodvibes Hop eyour leg is feeling better

Nan, Kathe, Michelle - hope all your aches and pains are getting better
