Hi Friends! So last night I got a call from my friend Kat in AZ. Me and John sailed with Kat and DH Jim in Sept 2001 on our first cruise. We sailed with them again in Sept 2006. Now Kat tells me that they want to do the Westbound Transatlantic in Sept 2011. Wow. I need to get on that boat because I love sailing with Kat and Jim. BUT I already have three cruises booked for 2011. How can I possibly add a fourth? There's no way. BUT I still emailed Sue Ellen at DU to send me a quote. Am I nuts?

We haven't got hotel in SanDiego yet, but we're looking at getting something right close to the airport and cruise terminal. I think our flight arrives at noon on Sun, March 14th, so we'd love to have a dismeet that afternoon/evening

Let me know when you get the room. Maybe we'll stay too. I won't tell Brooke and Ethan because they have been asking about your kids since the last DIS meet.

Hey, I need 29 vacation days for all the cruises I want to do in 2011....and I only have 25, plus two floaters. (of course, I'm not even considering the $$ involved) The blasted mid-week sail dates are a pain in the patootie!

Right now we are looking at the Holiday Inn on the Bay in SD. We will probably book a little later in the week as we are waiting for a decision from some friends of ours who want to come with us...

And just a reminder, our kids are NOT coming with us this trip. They get to stay home with the grandparents. So even when you do tell Brooke and Ethan, let them know Shaelyn and Kaleigh won't be there.

I'm home, feeling exhausted but good !News was great! I didn't sleep hardly at all last night. I'm happy to say though, I am well fed once again Down two lbs If only I had the stamina to fast for another 8 days

I would think so too. Afterall, Chicago rarely grinds to a halt due to snow.

Neither does Albany... I have friends in the Carolinas who don't know when school will start again... or when their streets will be clear... I told them SPRING!!

I would tend to think that making a booking has the effect of improving one's odds.

Boy have I missed you! But must say that if I had the opportunity to be back on the Magic w/ I'd be there in a flash Luckily he's off starting next week (I believe) and won't be back until the Med cruises (now I'm trying to see if I can figure out a way to be there for the 8/28/10 cruise ....it's a sickness, I know).

DCL has discounted the early Med ones to as low as $50/per night/per person...and that's a "normal" person rate-not a ta rate.

I booked 2 dummy reservations while on board - 2 7nt easterns w/ St Maarten (haven't been there yet). 11/6/10 and 12/4/10 - I'd like to get 1 more cruise in before the MV for the Dream....then I'll be Gold for the MV.

I'll do the Med tho if I can.

Maz - I'm here for your entire stay except for the 13th-15th of Feb - off to MD for a little girl's 3rd bday (can you believe it!) Let me know what works for you for our meet
