Michelle and Deb, I hope you are both well again really soon. Sorry you were all alone for Christmas Michelle. Here's to a much better 2010 for you. You sure deserve it.

Bubba, great Christmas present.

Ian, sounds like you had a relaxing day. I love mince pies.

Holly, I loved the video I did watch of Tyler opening his present. It must have been such fun watching him live and a pleasure for you. I will go look for the other one.

Hi Kathe and Gydell.

Hi Marilyn! So nice to see you posting again:hug: How was your Christmas? Did you stay home and rest and let everyone else do the cooking and work;) I think you and John deserve a little vacation away somewhere nice and warm to rest up after all your excitement lately! Have you anything planned already?

We all enjoyed a rather nice Christmas at my house this year :goodvibes Other than the weather that is, which was miserable! We had freezing rain in the morning followed by rain and more rain for most of the day :sad2:

Brian and Tammy surprised me by secretly buying a floor length red dress for Serenity so they brought her out to see the tree and presents in the morning looking like a little princess princess: But I cannot get that child to look and smile at the camera :headache: I did get a couple of pics but I'll have to see if Brian can help me upload just a couple of pics instead of what's on the whole memory card as my computer is already running slow and I don't want it to get any slower! If so, I'll try to post one.

Our morning was pretty exciting, Serenity was very busy opening presents! Sara and Trevor made it over in time to open with us :goodvibes and we had our brunch together afterwards.I received some Euros for my cruise in April :thumbsup2 I also received a snowglobe with a pic of Serenity and her dad inside :goodvibes Serenity went to her mom's after her nap and will be there until Sunday. I miss her, but it was nice for us to have a really peaceful visit over our turkey dinner, without the interruptions of a two year old! After dinner we played Buzz Trivia.

I can't believe it's all over once again, and I have to go in to work in a couple of hours to process payroll :sad2: At least there will be leftovers heated up and ready when I get home! I'm done with cooking for at least a few days!

I think mince pies must be an acquired taste. These were Walker's and had a shortbread crust. I had one and could barely finish it. Sukie ate the rest of the box.

I suspect that mince pies are the British equivalent of root beer, one of those things you had to have grown up with in order to enjoy the flavor.

Thanks Kathe. I am feeling better every day. We went to our daughter's for an hour yesterday - quite hectic with 5 children there, but great to see them. I'm not eating too much yet so didn't have a proper Christmas lunch. Today we went round to our son and daughter in laws. They only have 2 girls, so much quieter and I managed 4 hours and a little lunch.

We have a vacation booked for the 8th Feb to you know where and I am feeling quite confident we will get away now.

I don't think I have seen that type of mince pie. We just have the shortcrust pastry ones. Starbucks have the very best ones, but they are about $2 each!!!

Marilyn, those 2 moments just made my entire Christmas happy. :goodvibes

Thanks Marilyn!!! I've already decided that I'm going to have a better 2010. I've never had such a strange year... nothing seemed to work out ok... oh well...

Michelle, that's the best part of a new year.

Despite the rain, it sounds like a wonderful day Kathe! :goodvibes

Marilyn, I'm so glad you're starting to feel a bit better. You'll be so ready for your trip....you probably could use the warmth of the sun! :goodvibes

Hi everyone!!

I woke up yesterday congested and feeling crappy....sinuses going crazy  Took enough meds to allow me to head over to Will & Mickey's for a quick dinner & gift giving. Was home about 3 1/2 hrs after I left.

Not feeling fab today....nose is running like crazy. Barely have a voice too. Glad I'm off today & tomorrow....time to rest.

Hanging out on the couch - watching "PS I love you" while I have a roast in the slow cooker. I hope I can taste that later :lmao:

Hope everyone is doing well (or better for those like me that are ).

Hi Monica! I'm sorry you're sick  Too bad we couldn't schedule which days to have for sick days! This means you're getting it all over with now though, so you'll feel awesome for your cruise in a few weeks :thumbsup2

Hi Jackie! Now that Christmas is over, what do you have planned for New Years?

Trevor has earned a trip to a work convention in Puerto Rico (only top # of employees get to go) but they aren't allowed to take spouses, so Sara asked me if I wanted to go to Las Vegas for a few days in Feb. I said sure, but I didn't think she was serious....well, she just called to ask what days I might be able to get off work, she's looking for some deals :cool1: I've never been, and didn't think I ever really wanted to, but it's a girls' trip with my favourite girl, who could say no ;)

Not sure if it's close or not... but mom makes a very good mincemeat pie...you should make her make you one at Eastwood Manor Thanksgiving...

Ooooooh, Jackie, I love the picture for the PC cruise in your sig! :yay:

Hi Jackie! Now that Christmas is over, what do you have planned for New Years?

For New Year's Eve/Day? Just hanging with the sisters.

For the New Year: so far; one more week of vacation, three weeks of work, dinner with Peg on the 21st and then cruise the Magic! That takes care of the first month.

Feb-Thanksgiving, work a lot and earn $$ to pay bills.* Maybe sneak over to Disneyland once in the spring.

Thanksgiving...play in Chicago with my friends! :thumbsup2

Works some more to save up spending money for Jan 1011 cruise.

*I guess while I'm at eat, I'll engage in healthier eating and more moving about...might as well, there is a long stretch there with nothing much exciting going on.

.

Oh wow, you'll have a great time Kathe! :dance3:

Kathe, we really liked Las Vegas which surprised us. Have a great time.

Michelle, no need to share your germs with your friend like that!!! :headache:;)

Monica, please take care and get well quickly.
