Happy belated Thanksgiving!!

I got back last night from Michigan (Wed-Sat) visiting with all of the family (about 35 people) minus 1 cousin and her family (6 people). It was really nice!

Holly - thought of you often - wish I had more time & we'd been able to meet up.

Thanksgiving 2010 - am thinking of flying in/out of Chicago or Detroit so that I can visit both Eastwood Manor & the family. I figure it's about a 4 hr drive each way...not sure if I'd due Chi'town & Thanksgiving 1st then MI or do MI 1st. Luckily I have time to decide :lmao:

:grouphug::grouphug:, prayers & PD to all who need it - sorry I haven't been around much lately.

I miss everyone!

Work's been crazy - there are 4 of us (3 last week) working on getting 1800 people to a conference in Feb & by the time I left on Tuesday I think there were less than 200 people booked....will make this week crazy too. Doesn't leave me any time to play online while I'm there :(

Sorry I rushed out just wanted to tell you Holly how sorry I am again for your sister - such young kids that will be hard on them and her of course too

Thanks Nan, still hoping it's not cancerous. Will let you know when I find out from her. I emailed her to ask since I still have no voice, but haven't heard back. I'm going to email my dad & stepmom in a minute to ask them.

When I heard you were in Michigan I was bummed, wishing I could visit with you. I happily would have driven to wherever you were. :sad1: I understand though. Perhaps another time.

Glad you had a nice time! :goodvibes

I knew I wasn't going to have any free time - that's the only reason I didn't plan anything with you. The only day with nothing planned was yesterday am.

I was in St Clair Shores and the Port Huron area (Carsonville).

I just typed out a really LONG post and just LOST it!!! AACCKK!!

Oh, I understand, no worries! That's about 2 hours from me, not bad at all. :thumbsup2

Prayer request : My Mother-in-law(Carol) has dislocated her hip (3 weeks post op hip replacement surgery) they can't get it "reset" so surgery is pending.

Keep Carol in your prayers please :flower3:

 Nan, sending prayers for Carol:hug:

Please do NOT mention this on FB. Prayers needed for my sister Jodi please. She told me on Thanksgiving that she has a tumor on one of her ovaries. Through the ultrasound, they told her it's the size of a tennis ball and she had an appointment on Friday to find out what the doctors found out through further testing (whether it's cancerous or not) and what they're going to do (surgery to remove or chemo or whatever). I haven't yet heard from her on what she found out and am patiently waiting. She's pretty worried because it's been a constant pain for quite some time. Her mom (my stepmom) went through a bout of ovarian cancer in her late 30s, around the same age, and we all remember how awful that was, so those memories are definitely scaring her. She told me she's fine with the idea of having everything removed because she doesn't want any more kids, but is hoping that will take care of it.

Thank you.

Holly, sending prayers for Jodi too. How scary

I'm a little sad - you all know that every year on this weekend Paul and I plant our tulips. Well since money is tight this year I didn't buy any :sad2: I'm missing our tradition :sad1: It's kinda our way of starting the Winter Holiday season. On the other hand I have found a ton of packets of sweet pea seeds and they are to go in the ground in Dec. SO.....this year that's what we'll be doing. I need to talk with Paul about placing them in the ground or if we should start them inside then transfer. The lazy me says right in the ground. I think that's what we'll do.:thumbsup2

Aw Nan, don't be sad  New tradition! I can hardly wait to see the pics of the sweet peas growing! And I bet by next year you'll be planting tulips AND sweet peas!

I'm BACK!!!!

We had a GREAT visit!!! :grouphug: :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

Lots and lots of talking...

Deb is going to upload pictures as soon as possible...

I'll do mine tomorrow...

Champagne was WONDERFUL!!! :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Woohoo :cool1: I am so glad you guys were able to get together for a fun time! Of course, I wish I could have joined you!

Hi Friends. We had a fabulous time. We chatted away three hours like it was the blink of an eye. It was a true love fest.

Deborah and Sylvia and Barbara and Michelle....I loved being with you and I hope everyone gets home safely.

Nan, It's a shame about breaking tradition with the tulips, but you did the next best thing by compromising and starting something new. I'm sure they will look beautiful too.

Holly, OMG I pray and send pixie dust for your sister Jodie. How traumatic and scary this is for her. Just lend your support and love and let her know that we're all thinking of her through this rough spot in her life. Hopefully they will find out that it's not cancerous and just get rid of it for her.

As far as those rodents go....we put about 6 of the blocks of poison all around each room and we have never seen another mouse again. Put them everywhere and that should do it for good!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. It went by so quickly.

I have some frustrating news. At our dismeet everyone asked about my leg. It wasn't wrapped and it was dry so I pointed it out. It was fine. By the time I got home, it was infected and leaking again....big time. It's wrapped again right now. It just came on suddenly and for no reason. I have been carefully taking care of it and it's been great. Then all of a sudden, it's aweful. So I'll be calling the doc again tomorrow and getting a culture and back on the antibiotics. I've got to get rid of it fast, I'm cruising six weeks from today. I can't believe how quickly it changed and how bad it is now. Drugs will fix it.

Deb, I'm so glad you had a great time getting together again! But I'm so sad that your leg is causing problems again :sad1: Hope you get it cleared up quickly.

Hi Monica! So glad you had a good Thanksgiving! You've been missed though! Hope you survive work!

Thanks Kathe.

Well, Tyler will be very happy on Christmas! I have a few things from Cabela's in my shopping cart waiting to order, I'm going to wait and order tomorrow in case they're going to have any Cyber Monday sales on anything I'm ordering. :thumbsup2

I suppose I'd better get to bed! I guess with the 4 days off I just had, I sort of got used to staying up late and not having to get up early for work. Yikes! Goodnight all! :cloud9:

Hi Deborah, welcome backand glad you enjoyed NY!!

Deb, lovely photos - you all look FAB!!! So sorry about the leg though. Hope it clears quicker this time.

Hi Monica, glad your Thanksgiving trip went well.

Well, the trial is still ongoing and is getting more confusing. Hopefully it should finish on Wednesday with deliberating after that. It is very serious so it won't be a quick decision.:sad2:

Monica,

Welcome back home!

Have you thought about doing MCO-MDW-DTW-MCO on SW? The flights between CHI and DTW are usually pretty cheap. Sometimes even cheaper out of ORD.
