Holly, here's hoping we both get some household assignments completed today. I only lasted for a few hours in the morning and somehow managed to not move from in front of the TV between my lunch break and dinner :sad2:

Well Jackie, SOME is better than NONE, so you did a great job! :thumbsup2 I've only been awake a little more than an hour, and haven't done anything yet, BUT.....in a couple minutes I'm headed off to do laundry and am positive I'll be getting a bit of housework done. Not all of it, but I plan on finishing the living room, including the floors, and that way we can start our Christmas decorating tonight! :goodvibes I've already cleared a place for the tree, so that's a step in the right direction.

Please do NOT mention this on FB. Prayers needed for my sister Jodi please. She told me on Thanksgiving that she has a tumor on one of her ovaries. Through the ultrasound, they told her it's the size of a tennis ball and she had an appointment on Friday to find out what the doctors found out through further testing (whether it's cancerous or not) and what they're going to do (surgery to remove or chemo or whatever). I haven't yet heard from her on what she found out and am patiently waiting. She's pretty worried because it's been a constant pain for quite some time. Her mom (my stepmom) went through a bout of ovarian cancer in her late 30s, around the same age, and we all remember how awful that was, so those memories are definitely scaring her. She told me she's fine with the idea of having everything removed because she doesn't want any more kids, but is hoping that will take care of it.

Thank you.

Well, I guess I'm not doing too bad timewise, considering I usually don't get up on the weekends until noon or later. ;) Time to head out and do laundry, buy more guinea pig bedding, come home to clean their cage, clean my bathroom and finish the living room. :thumbsup2 That is, provided my motivation sticks with me all day. Cautiously optimistic! :goodvibes

Oh....yeah....and I'm back to sleeping in Tyler's room because the mice seem to think my bedroom is their territory. Out of the whole house, I would have thought mice would camp out in the kitchen. Good grief, this is disgusting. The poison looks untouched, but I haven't seen or heard any mice for a couple days, so after the rest of the house is clean, I'm going to gut my bedroom, clean it thoroughly and hope they're gone.

So sorry to hear about your sister. That must be pretty scary for her, and will be preying on your mind too. Certainly will be praying for the best news.

very scary for your sister. I'll pray for her. How old are her kids?

Good luck with your little friends. I have to agree with you I'd be freaked if they were in my house too. Every time I see a rodent I think of you ;) Yesterday in Mr. Fantasic Fox there was a Rat in the movie. I thought of you ;) You are my new rodent friend  Remember this too will pass.

I hope we can get motivated here today. it's almost noon and still in jammies.

I'm a little sad - you all know that every year on this weekend Paul and I plant our tulips. Well since money is tight this year I didn't buy any :sad2: I'm missing our tradition :sad1: It's kinda our way of starting the Winter Holiday season. On the other hand I have found a ton of packets of sweet pea seeds and they are to go in the ground in Dec. SO.....this year that's what we'll be doing. I need to talk with Paul about placing them in the ground or if we should start them inside then transfer. The lazy me says right in the ground. I think that's what we'll do.:thumbsup2

I'm BACK!!!!

We had a GREAT visit!!! :grouphug: :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

Lots and lots of talking...

Deb is going to upload pictures as soon as possible...

I'll do mine tomorrow...

Champagne was WONDERFUL!!! :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Yeah, Tyler thinks it's pretty funny too. He has a bunch of stickers that are the kind kids color themselves, well on our way out of town on Thanksgiving, he was coloring one, handed it to me and said, "Say hello to your little friend". It was a mouse holding a piece of cheese. Smartass.

Aw, I'm sorry about your tulips Nan. I'll miss seeing pictures of them too. But as you said to me, this too shall pass.

Thanks Marilyn, I'm anxious to hear something.

Did laundry, did some shopping, now have to clean the guinea pig cage before leaving to pick Tyler up, but wanted to pop on here and share: those of you buying Christmas gifts for little kids, Dollar Tree has TONS of Disney things that would be great stocking stuffers. I got Tyler some Mickey chapstick to give him today and a whole ton of Mickey items for Christmas. :cool1:

More pics to follow from Michelle and Deborah when they can.

Hi Friends. We had a fabulous time. We chatted away three hours like it was the blink of an eye. It was a true love fest.

Deborah and Sylvia and Barbara and Michelle....I loved being with you and I hope everyone gets home safely.

Nan, It's a shame about breaking tradition with the tulips, but you did the next best thing by compromising and starting something new. I'm sure they will look beautiful too.

Holly, OMG I pray and send pixie dust for your sister Jodie. How traumatic and scary this is for her. Just lend your support and love and let her know that we're all thinking of her through this rough spot in her life. Hopefully they will find out that it's not cancerous and just get rid of it for her.

As far as those rodents go....we put about 6 of the blocks of poison all around each room and we have never seen another mouse again. Put them everywhere and that should do it for good!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. It went by so quickly.

I have some frustrating news. At our dismeet everyone asked about my leg. It wasn't wrapped and it was dry so I pointed it out. It was fine. By the time I got home, it was infected and leaking again....big time. It's wrapped again right now. It just came on suddenly and for no reason. I have been carefully taking care of it and it's been great. Then all of a sudden, it's aweful. So I'll be calling the doc again tomorrow and getting a culture and back on the antibiotics. I've got to get rid of it fast, I'm cruising six weeks from today. I can't believe how quickly it changed and how bad it is now. Drugs will fix it.

Nan, prayers and PD for your mother-in-law. pixiedust:

Deborah, Deb, Michelle, Barb and Johnn...have a GREAT time today and take a few sips of the bubbly for me!

Holly, here's hoping we both get some household assignments completed today. I only lasted for a few hours in the morning and somehow managed to not move from in front of the TV between my lunch break and dinner :sad2:

HEY KIDS....there's a NEW Disney at Christmas special on HGTV tonight...check your local listings. (At least the are promoting it as new.)

Enjoy your Sunday everyone! :grouphug:

Thanks Jackie for the heads up....mine is on at 8:00 pm. It's titled "Behind the Magic: Disney Holidays" and it's described as WDW preparations for the holidays. I can't wait. I have it set to record. It says that it's a 2009 release. It's a one hour special. Very cool! Thanks Jacks.

Deb loved the pictures what a great place to visit and gab :thumbsup2

So nice seeing Deborah partying with "our" girls this time ;)

Well no planting of the sweet peas, but we did rake all the leaves. That was the first time for Molly and Wilson to ever enjoy this sport :rotfl2: We've always had a gardener but had to let him go a few months back and have been doing it ourselves. Paul and I spent lots of time in the garden as kids and even when we met we did lots of it together over the years. We did figure out where to plant them and well work on it maybe next weekend.

Off to get some dinner cooking

Bye

Sorry I rushed out just wanted to tell you Holly how sorry I am again for your sister - such young kids that will be hard on them and her of course too

Thanks Deb, I'll keep you updated on my sister.

Thanks for the poison advice. I went through 6 poison packets when I thought they were gone, but now I have 2 new ones in my bedroom. They look untouched. Sadly, I need to put some in Tyler's room where he won't see it. He's afraid of getting near the ones in my room, so I know he wouldn't touch it, but he would freak out because that would tell him the mice are in his room.....and sadly, I found evidence in there today. I need to empty both bedrooms so I can disinfect and put lots of poison around. I cleaned enough in the living room and kitchen that I was able to start spraying Lysol all over and that's what I need to do in the bedrooms. It's just frustrating because Tyler sooooo badly wants to get our Christmas decorations up but I told him we can't do that until we get the mouse situation all taken care of and completely cleaned up.

Loved all the pictures you posted from the DIS meet today, glad you all had a nice time! :goodvibes

So sorry to hear about your leg. It had been doing so well for so long. I really hope it heals quickly for you this time.

I just typed out a really LONG post and just LOST it!!! AACCKK!!
