Off to bed, I'd hoped to be asleep much earlier tonight, going to try to get to bed early every day this week so I can be wide awake for my 2 projects planned for this week: 1. I plan on finally updating Tyler's blog (I stopped after the first couple days of our Florida trip in June), and 2. Finally get the house fully cleaned, top to bottom. It's gotten too out of hand anymore and I can't stand the mess anymore.

Michelle, you're so right. I just pulled out the ressie confirm and voila....Sunday...29th, 12 noon, 6 people, in John's name. I'm so glad you caught it. I would have shown up on the wrong day. hahaha.

I've had many weak days when I just wasn't strong enough to fight temptation of donuts at work or stuff for dinner that I was craving. But at the end of one of those days, I always tell myself I'll start fresh again in the morning. I keep trying, and one of these times it will stick permanently. I did get up to a 10 pound loss at one point, but have gone up a hair, net result is 8 pounds down since October 1. But the good news is that I'm not getting discouraged this time because I keep jumping right back on track after a day of bad choices. That's better than before when I went off track and stayed off for months.

Well I think 8lbs is excellent Holly. I hope you get back on track and make it more!!!!

Nice to be missed, thanks Marilyn! I'm here, no migraines for a couple days now, you'll see me lots this week.

Glad the migraines are gone Holly. I'm running down my Fish World tanks - have you noticed? I was spending far too long and the site was sooooo annoying.

For someone who doesn't like to plan too far in advance, you're doing a terrific job

And I don't mind kitchen clean up duty either

There is a Lincoln Park, both a neighborhood called Lincoln Park and a park named Lincoln Park, but we live in Lincoln Square. I also live a half a block from Lincoln Avenue.

For some silly reason, there are lots of things in Illinois named after Lincoln.

Hi Kids! Still several pages behind, but wanted to post before I ran out of time this morning.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes (and the song!).

We had a great time! I did go ahead and rent an ECV so i could keep going all day (from 8AM to 11PM!) And we did upgrade to park hoppers so we got to play in DCA also. Finally got to do Toy Story Mania...so now I've done it in CA and FL.

Lunch was at Big Thunder Ranch for all you can eat bar-b-que and was very yummy and very pleasant, as it was a beautiful day. We sat in the Disney family box at the Golden Horseshoe and had a giant piece of chocolate cake and watched Billy Hill & The Hillbillies and laughed ourselves silly! Good show! (And special hugs to Cheri for arranging that! )

Back to catch up....still have to get to facebook too before hitting the shower......

I'm back from a whirlwind weekend in Savannah & Hilton Head Island w/ Will & Mickey.

Had a great time - beautiful weather, rich food & lots of walking about.

Got home (well to Will & Mick's) at 11pm last night....I was too tired to drive home so spent the night there.

Have about 15 pages to catch up on....brb

Of course it will be late fall, so picture it without all the greenery.

Such a charming neighbourhood, Ian! Sukie's garden is perfect - I love the idea of drawing the eye through. I hadn't considered designing a front garden in that way and it has definitely given me some food for thought...

I have a 'thing' for vintage property (OK I confess that I am lusting after the house that was for sale) and those glimpses of the diverse architecture are very appealing. I cannot wait to explore...

I would imagine that it's going to be freezing in early May. I have been up to Maine near the Canadian border at the end of April and it was freezing. The beginning of May in Alaska is going to be very cold. Dress warmly.

We should see whales though and that makes up for everything....for me anyway.

But Deb the West Coast and East Coast climates are NOT the same. You really can't compare what happens there to here. Difference Ocean, different winds and all...But of course I would think it would be chilly nonetheless

I find it funny that you call our house vintage, considering that you live in the UK. Our house is coming up for it's hundredth birthday in a few years. It was born in 1913.

Chicago 2-flats come in two sizes huge and tiny.

Home sick today. Just cant seem to get rid of this cough. Partly Jackies fault, cuz she MADE us go to fireworks on Sat night! It was worth it though because they had special fireworks just for the weekend, I think for Jackies birthday. Cant remember the name of the show they brought back just for the weekend, but I'm sure Venetia can tell you. And just FYI, there is CORN in the cornbread at Big Thunder BBQ! Imagine that!
