Home sick today. Just cant seem to get rid of this cough. Partly Jackies fault, cuz she MADE us go to fireworks on Sat night! It was worth it though because they had special fireworks just for the weekend, I think for Jackies birthday. Cant remember the name of the show they brought back just for the weekend, but I'm sure Venetia can tell you. And just FYI, there is CORN in the cornbread at Big Thunder BBQ! Imagine that! :rotfl2:

Sorry you are poorly Bubba, but glad you enjoyed the weekend!! Be better soon.

Thanks Marilyn, I'm already back on track today and held steady on my weigh-in today. Not a loss, but happy to see I didn't gain more. :thumbsup2

Yes, I noticed you slowing down on FishWorld and now I see you've completely disappeared! ;) I'm tired of it too because I hated how it would close my browser too often. Tyler will probably still play under my name, but I'm trying to decide what I want to get sucked into next. Do you like Happy Aquarium better?

Well Happy Aquarium is a lot slower to progress but not much really going on. It is quite funny how the fish look unhappy when they are hungry and have smiles when they are full and happy.(Like me I guess!!!):lmao: Not sure how long I will play. I couldn't get on with Yoville, Cafe World or Roller coaster Kingdom - just not my thing I think. You could try Cafe world. It looks very popular and even Ian is playing.

Hello everyone. I just wanted to come on to thank Deb and John for my lovely package that I received in the mail :lovestruc I was very happy and it was needed since I have been very sick.

I wish I could go back and read all the pages I missed but that would take too long and I can't sit straight up for too many minutes. I'm having a strange thing with my blood pressure and profuse sweating, followed by not being able to breathe.

I have been working at the kids' school and I will be there for two more weeks. I'm crossing my fingers that it will be longer since I love being at their school. Ethan just got an award and I got to see him get it, which is one of the main things I miss about being a stay-at-home mom. The house is a mess because I haven't been able to stand for too long and I am having Thanksgiving at my house. It will all work out. Jon is also sick and stayed home from work and he had to go pick up Ethan because he got sick at school. Oh well, at least I know it isn't menopause :scared1:

I hope everyone is well. I promise to try and keep up. It is really hard with one computer when Jon and Ethan are on it the entire time I'm home. I feel guilty asking Jon if I can pay a bill or check my jobs on line so there is no chance of getting back on here like I use to. I feel like I may be getting a lap top for Christmas.

Love and miss you guys.

Gaylean, great to see you bus so sorry you are ill. Take care and get well.

Morning!!

I'm back from a whirlwind weekend in Savannah & Hilton Head Island w/ Will & Mickey.

Had a great time - beautiful weather, rich food & lots of walking about.

Got home (well to Will & Mick's) at 11pm last night....I was too tired to drive home so spent the night there.

Have about 15 pages to catch up on....brb :goodvibes

What a great weekend getaway. I love that area.

But Deb the West Coast and East Coast climates are NOT the same. You really can't compare what happens there to here. Difference Ocean, different winds and all...But of course I would think it would be chilly nonetheless ::yes::

True, true.

I still think it's going to be cold in Alaska. Maybe not snowsuit weather but not bathing suit weather either. Layering is the way to go.

Hey Bubba, sorry that you brought back an unwanted bug...but glad you had a great time anyway. I love fireworks...especially Disney.

My favourite era. Our first house together was Edwardian and we were very happy there... Ignore the miserable child and focus on the fireplace!!! ;)

We lived for a while in a Kent cottage built in 1700's - lovely but not for me. We also had a London house that was built for the Great Exhibition of 1851 - spectacular but impractical... Our house is a later era - built in 1929 for an elderly woman and her nursemaid but it has more of an Edwardian feel and we love it!!! Even if it is falling down!!! :scared1: And the bits that aren't falling down are being knocked down!!! :lmao:

We bought it for the stained glass window just visible behind our youngest child and my precious Old English Sheepdog pup - this pic's about 9 years old...

Beautiful Kaz....I love the old touches. The kid and the Sheepdog are cute too....but not that crying one.

Love and miss you too.

You're very welcome....CHAMPAGNE GIRLS FOREVER!!!

Sorry that everyone but Brooke is sick. Hope you all feel better real fast. Hugs.

Thanks Marilyn, I gave Happy Aquarium a try last night and will give it a try for a while to see if I like it. Cafe World sounds too confusing for me (just from what others have posted), I didn't like Yoville and just couldn't get into it, so haven't been there since before starting FishWorld. Not sure if I'd like Roller Coaster Kingdom, but was considering it. :goodvibes

GAYLEAN! Glad to see you post here, sorry you're not feeling well, hopefully whatever that is will go away soon. Pop in whenever you can, we all miss you.

I managed to make it to work on time today, actually 2 minutes early! That's almost a record for me, LOL! I'm going to try to be on time the rest of the week and really shock everybody. ;)

great slide show!! from it I gather I can find sauerbraten for lunch and Dolomites and baklava for tea, within two blocks? Now thats my kind of place :yay: :yay:

I was thinking the same thing....I want to eat at the German place and the Greek place. Basically that's you and me....German and Greek. I love both foods.

I'm German too (and English). Mom's grandparents came over from England and Dad's grandparents came over from Germany, so I'm not too far removed. :thumbsup2 I suppose the German part of me is why I've always been a big fan of BEER. ;)

Marilyn, have you tried FishVille? I just found out about it. I'll check it out and see if I like that or Happy Aquarium better. Not really liking Happy Aquarium too much yet.

I'm not wanting to get involved with any more of these really. I will soon be giving up Happy Aquarium I think, though I do like getting new fish unlocked. Then I will have even more time to do other things!!:lmao: I don't know what to do with FarmVille. I have over $3,000,000 coins now and nowhere to put anything I might want to buy.

Shock horror, I might give it up too!!!!:rotfl2:
