Oh my goodness, there has been a shooting in an olffice building in Orlando. 2 dead and 8 wounded at least. Shooter still on loose.

I hope it's not near anyone we know.

I doubt it as it would be Downtown. On top of yesterday in Texas, and for the UK the terrible shooting of soldiers in Afghanistan by a rogue policeman earlier in the week it has been a bad week for shootings.

I'm feeling very tired and groggy this morning.
Ken is home with Kaleigh, and I'm happy that she seems to be feeling a little better than she was last night. Poor thing did not have a good night, which means nobody else did either. It does seem to be just a regular virus, not the dreaded H1N1 (or the heinie flu as Michelle would say )

Ian - of course your new/future bosses were enthralled with you!

Deb - you are getting butt with WW. Way to go! And I'll be checking out your pictures of your new tiara when I get home.

I doubt it as it would be Downtown. On top of yesterday in Texas, and for the UK the terrible shooting of soldiers in Afghanistan by a rogue policeman earlier in the week it has been a bad week for shootings.

It's a new era that we're living in...no more Leave It To Beaver, as we sometimes say to reflect a trusting more respectful time. Kids are taken from their beds and school commutes....so many shootings in high schools, colleges and work places....now the military too. Such a sad state of affairs we are in.

Weigh in day....I just lost some more points today. I started at 35 daily and now I'm at 29. I'm only 5 away from my second 25 pound incremental goal. That's a great feeling. I know I have lots more to go but I feel that I have proven that it can be done and I'm on my way for real. It's very exciting. Just think of how I'm going to look driving in my Spyder up to the Port for all my 2011 cruises....getting my picture taken boarding the Dream and looking good. I'm psyched.

Since I like to dress up on formal nights I have developed a tradition of buying a new tiara every year for my birthday. Here's the one that came in the mail today.

It's called the Audrey Hepburn and should be worn like this.

Happy to say Miss Kaleigh is happily sitting at the computer playing games. She is feeling much better and actually ate some real food (mac n cheese). She had a quiet day with Ken and is almost back to normal.

Miss Shaelyn has chosen to have her 8th birthday party at the bowling alley, which will be next weekend. It will be a Hannah Montana theme this year.

And there was some happy girls with new pink feather boas and tiaras this afternoon! (Thanks Deb!). They'll be posing for pictures tomorrow.
