Hope you wake up feeling better today Michelle.

England is ok. I have been called up for Jury Service at the end of November. It is stressing me out. I can't make a decision on what to have for tea, so what on earth am I going to be like in a court case? They shouldn't call up post menopausal women.:rotfl2: There has been plenty of other years to randomly pick out my name and just now it not the right time. I just want it to go away, the plumber to go, the house be finished and clean, everything unpacked and put away, Christmas organised and all the other problems to go.

Ok, my rant for this day. Off to my corner.

Marilyn... take pictures of your house and just start to rant  - don't forget to mention the hot flashes and weight gain, bloating and irritablility you get (temporary insanity should be an excuse, now shouldn't it???)

It is a miracle to get selected for a jury. Most people on jury duty don't get called. I'm the exception, I've been called twice and served twice, but both times as an alternate, so I never went to deliberation. Once for a double murder trial in NY, and once for a drug ring here in Chicago.

Sure... scare her a bit more... :rotfl2:

I've been called 5 times (once was federal) in just the last 4 years! Luckily beyond the one day I've only picked one and served for 8 days.

They told us this year the average person only gets called 3 times in their lifetime - I'm way ahead of the curve on this one.

And in Florida being 72 or older automatically gets you out of jury duty if you want. It seems to be the only way to get out of at least the one day - financial hardships, childcare, etc have to be presented to the judge in person so you have to go at least the first day.

YOU'RE 72???? You age well... :worship::worship:

I started on my exercise bike last night. I got up to 5 minutes and thought I was going to die. I'll try to do 10 minutes today. I have to take it slow because I don't know how it's going to make the muscles feel. I have pain already before starting so I have to gently push forward. If I can only do 5-10 minutes at a time, I'll try to do it 2-3 times today. I'm excited about being able to do it. I just wish I could lower the seat some more. It adjusts but it doesn't go as low as I would like. I think the more I do it the better it will get.

Deb... start with a minute or two... make sure you stretch a bit before starting... and then see if you can increase it by another minute here and there... it will add up and get easier... :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

you do realize that this girl needs no encouragement when it comes to those kinds of "carrots" right :confused3 :confused3 anyway she will always get what ever she wants if I can help it

Ohhh John... we :lovestruc you... (but you've already got the BEST Gem there is!!!)

awwww, thank you sweetie. Actually I have been very good and have not bought anything shiny for the past two years. I have to make up for lost time now. hahaha.

I did another 5 mins so far today. I'll do one or two more tonight. The lady who adjusted the leg pump today said that the bike will help my leg a lot. I'm sure it has to do with circulation. More motive. Gotta do it for the leg.

awww shucks Shell, that's the nicest thing to say. We love you too.:cutie::hug::cutie:

Hi everyone! I've missed you all :grouphug:

Sorry about the size of my pics, maybe someone can explain to me how to make them smaller before I post anymore? It always takes me forever just to remember how to post them at all

Hope everyone is keeping well. We've had a rough weekend here. My son had the flu all weekend and I got sick too, but not nearly as bad as he did. We had to take turns looking after Serenity. Luckily, she didn't get sick! She did stay awake almost the whole night the first night her dad got sick though, so she must have been feeling off a bit.

I'll try to find time to get caught up soon. Things have been pretty hectic around here lately

Awww Marilyn :grouphug: I take it you're back home again, and that's a whole lot of reality to be facing once again! Take a deep breath...... and just start planning that next vacation ;)

In a funk...Paul's jobless thing :sad2:

Took Molly to the doctor, it was the strep coming back again :sad2: new round of antibotics. She has missed 4 school days for this  I wish she had told me last week that her throat was hurting again, then she could have been at school this week. Silly girl

Off for Willie's conference at 2pm. Not looking forward to it. I don't care for his English teacher (and we aren't meeting with his Spanish teacher) His english teacher doesn't challenge him, he is bored.

Gotta go and bite my tongue :rolleyes1

Nan, sorry Paul hasn't found something yet, this must be a huge worry for you  Here's hoping he finds something really soon :wizard: Sorry Molly is feeling ill again :sad2: Hope the conference went better than expected. Hugs for all of you :grouphug:

Hi All...

Don't ask me why... but I feel like today it should be snowing... Strange...

Woke up with a sore throat... I guess that's what you get for going out and socializing... :rolleyes1

Going to stay in ... mom has felt my forehead and officially declared me... warm... :rotfl: (I was NEVER sick in school according to her...)

Hi Michelle :grouphug: I hope you are feeling much better too

Way to go! Just ease into it slowly though. :thumbsup2 Maybe you might want to hold off on bumping up to 10 minutes until the 5 minutes gets easy for you?

Hi everyone!

We're back - but more importantly mostly recovered from our bouts of bronchitis.

We got off the Magic on Sat the 10th, by Sunday night I felt horrible and went to the doctor on Monday and was diagnosed with bronchitis, even got to have a chest x-ray to rule out pneumonia. Darrell was a day behind so he went to the doctor's on Tuesday for the same diagnosis (they did a flu test on him and it was negative).

I'm hoping to get some pictures posted soon.

Thanks Deb for posting the new cc silver gift picture . Sorry the picture wasn't the best as it was on my cell phone.

Hope everyone is doing well. I haven't had a chance to go back and read anything I missed.

Yikes, sorry you guys have been sick too Lisa! Glad you're feeling better though. Did you have a great cruise?!

Hi Holly!!! I hope you and Tyler have been keeping well! There seems to be sickness all over our continent :headache:

Kathe, glad to hear you and your son are better, sorry you got sick though! Nice that Serenity didn't get too sick. :thumbsup2

Hi Kathe! So far we're both fine. It's rare for either of us to get sick. H1N1 has been confirmed in his school, so that will probably come home with him. I've never had the flu and sure don't want it. Yuck. He had it once and seeing what it did to him was bad enough.

I carved one of our pumpkins tonight and did not enjoy it. Tyler wanted the headless horseman from a book of pumpkin patterns we have. It was soooooo hard but turned out great, fortunately. Baking pumpkin seeds right now. House smells like garlic....yum! I did them in garlic butter. :goodvibes Not healthy, but pumpkin seeds are really high in fiber, so hopefully that counterbalances all the butter a tad! ;)

Kathe - glad you and son feel better.

Deb - one step at time and before you know it you'll be racing!

Change of plans - the couple that we are traveling with has made us cancel our plans. Not their fault but we are now in Birmingham. The husband had to be hospitalized here and will be having open heart surgery tomorrow or the next day. We haven't missed a game in about 20 years but this is a good reason for us not to continue on to New Orleans.

Sounds like you're having fun preparing for Halloween :maleficen

We haven't decided whether Serenity will go out to a couple of houses or not yet. We don't really want her to have the candy, and we aren't apt to sneak it away from her very easily...she watches everything going on like a hawk these days and has a pretty good memory! Not sure if she'll be scared of the kids in costumes either. She got a doll that crawls for her birthday...every time she sees the "baby" she shreeks and runs to hide! We thought she would love it :sad2:

Oh, I'm sorry Gydell, sending prayers and pixie dust for your friend, I hope his surgery goes well :grouphug:
