Well, I'm off to bed. Have to get up in 6 1/2 hours. I'm not sure I'll sleep well, not knowing where that mouse is and seeing it so close to my bedroom. If I step on it in when I get up in the morning, I'll probably pass out.....but then he'd be gone so I guess that wouldn't be all bad. :rotfl2:

I can share. No big secret or nuthin'. ....... Hey Holly, are you using the old fashioned traps. If you are , this works EVERY time! Put just a dab of peanut butter on the trap and.....WHACK!....every time I tell ya! But then you have to pick up the dead mouse and throw it away.

Another reason why I don't eat Peanut butter???? :lmao: :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

:rotfl2: I LOVE that! Could you imagine if I had looked at her and innocently said, "Maybe your daughter is pregnant?"

i think she will mad if you say that :rolleyes1:rolleyes1 (hee hee)

OH no, Turkey Day is next month!!! I better make reservations.

After I saw Ian's post it reminded me. Thanks Ian for the heads up. Then I asked John what he wanted to do. He said, "I'm not cooking." Then I thought, for a split second, well then I could cook. NAH. I better make ressies.

I have book reservations in New York for after thanksgiving parade....

I love these pictures, especially the one of both kids in the sunset! :goodvibes

yes I agreed with you...:thumbsup2

This mouse is driving me CRAZY! I'm literally chasing it around the house! I still haven't seen any evidence left behind, but today I started seeing it dart across the floor. I'm running around trying to drop a bucket upside down on it to catch it that way because it's completely avoiding all traps. I keep putting more traps where I see it (it likes Tyler's bedroom!!!!!!) but can't catch it. :headache: I just saw it run from the bathroom into Tyler's room. :scared::faint::(

No, we still have the guinea pigs. The cages I sold were smaller ones we used when we first got them and have since upgraded to just one large cage. :thumbsup2

Holly

You have guinea pigs and hamster so I thought you would love Mouse???

I mean Mickey Mouse :lmao:

Turkey Day ressies are made. Here's where we're going:

It looked so nice and reasonably priced, we booked it twice....Thanksgiving and Christmas.

We have been there before, but only for wine tastings that they do in June. This will be the first time we will be there for a different event. I'm looking forward to going. Another fun adventure. Me and John and the kid and Ray will be going.

I'd love to join you for your dinner on Tday, that place you go to is really cool.

I better start asking around our family what is up, or better thought I think we'll cook. Peeps can come if they want. Easier to decide that than have to check with everyone  And I want the leftovers too :woohoo:

That place looks beautiful and the food was great for the brunch, but we were all a little disappointed with the food for Turkey Day. It wasn't worth the price we paid.

So we found another place to try. We'll see how this one works out. We'll take pics.

I wish we had the wherewithall to cook so that we could have the leftovers. But that's just not going to happen. Not now. John said what do we do about having Ray here with Angel? We'll have to keep her locked in the bathroom. Then when Ray needs to use the bathroom, it's a pain. It's just not worth it. We'll go out. If we want to cook a little turkey for us later, we can do that.

You're doing it right. Just say you're cooking and whomever wants to will come. If not, there's always next year. No worries.

Since we live next door to a corn field, when we first moved in here we had a LOT of mice. We tried everything and nothing worked. Finally John went into the local Agway store and said help. They told him RAT POISON. It will kill anything that you don't want in your house. We have never seen a mouse here since. You put it around all the cracks and seams around the house. It's safe for the dog and cat....not sure about Tyler and Guinea Pigs. If you have any specific questions on what kind to buy and where to place it, just email John or ask your local "Agway like" kind of store. If you don't have any stores like that, John can suggest other places where you might check. I'll PM you his email address. Good Luck! It works!

The rat poison is way better than the mousetraps because you don't ever have to deal with the dead mouse. They eat it, then they walk away and die somewhere....just no where that you have to deal with it. Much better.:goodvibes

I'm gearing up for a busy time for us. It starts with my birthday in November, then Thanksgiving, then Christmas, then New Years, then John's birthday ends it in January. I already have my birthday present picked out and my ressies made for dinner. Thanksgiving and Christmas ressies have been made. New Years we just stay in usually. Although there is a new place that opened on Saylors Lake. It has live music with a bar and bar food. We might want to try that for this year. 2010 will be special. I'll check it out. It's appropriately called Glacier. hahaha....did they know I'm planning an Alaskan cruise.

Oh and then for John's birthday, we're cruising a 4 night on the Wonder. I just need a few presents from Amazon for Christmas and I'm finished. Voila! An easy year!

I'm off the crutches now. I just take a half of vicodin every day and have a little pain, but tolerable. I limp when I walk still. At least there's been some improvement. This should be gone in an couple more days. That probably means that it's not broken. At least it's healing fast....I'm happy. I had just started to get active around the house. Sure, that's why I banged it. hahaha.:laughing::laughing:

It all sounds good Deb, even the part about the healing toe :thumbsup2

Not sure on the rat poisioning??? I had out snail bait once and Casey got it and we had to pump her stomache. How can it hurt the rat but not cats or dogs???

So... what time is dinner??? ;)

Well... I'm headed to Jersey on Saturday for the All Media Reunion at my old college... William Paterson...

They want all the TV geeks to show up (producers especially...) (yep... I studied TV in college... :happytv:)

Nan, John says you're right. Don't put them where the pets can find them.

Put them in dark places that are not accessible to any other animals, i.e. under or behind the refrigerator, washer and dryer, under the sink in the back, behind and under the couch, etc. Another idea if possible is under the crawl space under the house outside. Basically hide them away from Tyler and the guinea pigs where they can't reach them. Then you'll never see another mouse again.

Well, I'd be happy if Mickey Mouse was running around my house! I do think mice are cute, but I don't want them running around my house!

I'm sure it will happen, just not this year, we'll make it happen :thumbsup2

You should think about it for next year.

Planning is in full swing. I'm now trying to figure out if I'm going to do an organic free range or a heritage turkey this year (which is also organic and free range).

Yeah, but what if they die inside the house or under the crawl space, wouldn't I smell the rotting bodies?
