Easy peasy pudding and pie. Just you wait until the year that we do show up. I'll bring the dog and my dog is bigger than your dogs. HA.:lmao::lmao::lmao:

I think you and John would enjoy it. Imagine what our table was like on the cruise ... now imagine it rowdier, and you'll have some idea of what Thanksgiving is like at Eastwood Manor.

::yes:: you're right, but then again you take weeks at a time leaving the country vacations with out your kids  Just kidding. I just feel sad for her since my dad is gone. She really is happy in her own zone (in her jammies all day yesterday she reported) (which is more and more the norm for her :sad2: I wonder how I'd feel if I was her. I suspect lonely, but then again I doubt I'd be her. I'm always chattering with friends so not a person that holes up alone. I realized why I love Facebook so much. I can talk and talk and talk, and listen only when I want to

Molly, my chef in residence, tried out the recipe today for Coca-Cola bbque sauce (from our FE gifts on Tortola) to add to our crockpot of pulled pork sandwhiches for dinner tonight. It smells STRONG. She says it tastes good, but different. Has anyone else tried the receipe? Ahhhhh....just thought I should have added some RUM :woohoo: maybe that's why it looked so good on paper, I'm sure in my minds eye it said Rum & coca-cola

Marilyn, are the grands dressing up for ToT?

I'm someone who is happy alone but needs company when I want it!!!:lmao:

I gave that recipe to our daughter as they cook more than we do. Barbecue sauce gives me heartburn though I do like a little.

Our daughter's 4 are dressing up a bit. We haven't had any trick or treaters round here tonight which is very nice!!!

:woohoo: Sounds fab!!! :thumbsup2

I've had a real lucky break this week as a good DISfriend of mine is not only willing but also able to take a trip to WDW with me next June!!! :yay: We both celebrate our birthdays in June which is a fab excuse for a trip if I do say myself... ;) Anyway, I'll be ringing Member Services after Uni on Friday as that's when our 7 month window opens - I CAN"T WAIT!!! :dance3:

That is great Karen.:thumbsup2

Now ya talkin'!!!!

Haha

I just came back from a little shopping in the neighborhood. Lincoln Square is awash with kids and parents in costumes.

did you sneer at them? :lmao::lmao::lmao:

For the record - whoever stole my turtles WILSON is very mad and he gets even

Sounds fah-bu-lous, Ian!!! Excuse me whilst I check the flights from Taylor Towers to Eastwood Manor... ;)

Just remember, dinner is at 6:30 p.m. Getting here from where you are is pretty simple, take the Jubilee Line and change at Green Park to the Piccadilly Line. Then at Earl's Court, change to the Brown Line/Ravenswood Line. Get off at the Western L stop. Our house is 2 blocks from the station. Bring some wine,

Great costumes!!!

Any chance of a photo or two, Kathe?

:sad2: Serenity loved wearing her costume at home today, but would not put it on tonight!!! Two is such a wonderful age :cutie:popcorn:::furious:
She had a great time playing at my friends house, but trick or treating was certainly an experience! First she wouldn't let me put her costume on, then she screamed on the 1st two porches because I wouldn't let her run into their houses  She thought we were going for visits I guess  She finally got the hang of it and stopped trying to get in! I'll have to see if she'll put her costume back on tomorrow so I might get some pics yet!

Hi Holly, have fun with Tyler....don't eat too much candy!!!

Hi Deb! We had fun (or as much fun as I could have with his dad tagging along), and I did eat quite a bit of candy, but feel I didn't lose control, so I'm not worried about it. :goodvibes

Well at least diamonds are lighter and take up less space. Sukie would approve of that. He referred to the roaster as, "Something else to climb over and dust." Though I'll be keeping the box to store it away in our locker in the basement.

I guess it must be a boy thing. The only thing that would make the roaster supremely better for me if it was electronic, wi-fi enabled and could connect to the Internet!

:rotfl2: I like how Sukie thinks! But you have a good idea putting it away in the basement. :thumbsup2

Yes, they can get into a lot! Luckily she hasn't had the flu, Holly. My son and daughter have both had it though.

Oh good, I thought she had it too. (Well, not good that your son and daughter had it, but you know what I mean).

Yikes, I'm sorry you're having such a tough time getting rid of them. Hope your new plan works. Kind of funny that you're running to tyler's room though :upsidedow
Yeah, well, the mouse/mice seem to like MY bedroom, and that's where they're coming in, so I'm NOT sleeping in there until I think they're gone! :rotfl2:

I'm going to see Michael Jackson's This Is It movie today. I'm wearing a surgical mask into the movie theater. I don't want to catch the flu that's going around. Every time I go into a movie theater I come out sick with some bug or another. People will think I'm wearing the mask for Michael...like they do at the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Hey, I have to look for that on TV since it's halloween. That's a fun tradition.

No Deb, people probably won't think twice about you wearing the mask, I've seen so many people wearing them in stores, it doesn't even phase me anymore. I think most people want to be safe and everybody understands why. :thumbsup2

I guess you will be out and about now. I hope you are getting the chores done and enjoy the evening.
Yes, we were out. I got everything done except laundry. I decided that can wait until tomorrow. It was an OK evening, I survived Tyler wanting his dad to trick or treat with us. Uggghhh.....NOT something I enjoyed, but it made Tyler happy and his dad and I both are always willing to accommodate that. :thumbsup2

Well since the dog(s) are invited we'll come too, with the rabbit and maybe turtle (since you'd like to meet her Deb

Had a bit of an ebay bummer last night. Our porsche is for sale (we listed it with a local broker on ebay) and the auction was to close and some dummy placed an extra 0 in his bid and therefore revealed the reserve and basically ended our auction many hours early  It didn't reach nearly high enough on ebay so we will wait and see if the broker can wiggle a deal out of those watching this week. I hope so, that will give us peace of mind for the mortage while Paul is still with out a job. Went to bed with a headache over the drama.

It's a new day, trying to be in the spirit. I talked with my mom last night and decided not to bother with bringing her over here tonight. She always wants to rush home and it's hard on us to make the drive in the middle of whatever is going on (tonight ToT) I'm sad, and feeling guilty, but it is what it is. I'll have her over tomorrow night instead.
 Nan, what a crappy ebay mess! I hope it gets sorted out. Sorry for the stress and your headache, I can completely relate. Sorry about not seeing your mom today, but hopefully you'll all have a nice time tomorrow night. :goodvibes

Deb & Michelle

I am looking forward to dis meet in November...:thumbsup2

Scottishwee35

Hey...it's Nov. 1st... Countdown is ON!!!

I wore my Halloween costume to work on Thursday, as that's the day we had our party. I went as a Disnelyand tourist. Mickey socks, t-shrit, watch, ring, necklace, visor, backpack and lanyard loaded with pins. One of my co-works asked if it could be considered a costume as I probably wore this at least five time during the yea! I claimed I never wear a lanyard with pins to the parks. :lmao:

.

& that's different from any other day???

Hi Deborah, our reservation is for 12:00 pm or noon at the Vu restaurant. All you have to do it take the elevator and have the bubbly waiting for us when we arrive. The reservation is in John's name coz he's in charge of taking care of all the champagne girls that day.:laughing::laughing:

So he's drivin, right?

Just booked our flights for next Feb/March. Hopefully we will get a cruise in there somewhere.

and your dates for returning to your US home are???

OK, so I looked up directions from Saylorsburg to Eastwood Manor. It's only 726 miles or a bit over 11 hours. Easy peasy.

I'm just wondering how many miles to the airport...

Well at least diamonds are lighter and take up less space. Sukie would approve of that. He referred to the roaster as, "Something else to climb over and dust." Though I'll be keeping the box to store it away in our locker in the basement.

MR Bennet???

Ohhh a pissin fight!!!

No drama today...yet  Serenity loves her pumpkin costume but not too sure whether we'll make it to many houses tonight, which is okay because she doesn't need the candy! The weather here is not nice. Very windy and she hates the wind. It is cool and supposed to rain tonight :sad2: We'll be at a friends' house though, so I know she'll have fun playing there.

Have fun at the movie popcorn::

Hope to be back later...sounds like nap time is over!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!!!

And I'm the :ccat: because I keep fading in and out!

Hope everyone had a good Halloween. I was at Peg's and after the kids stopped coming by (and I could get Peg of Farm Town) we watched "84 Charing Cross Road". I hadn't seen that since I saw it in the theater!
