Hugs to you Michelle today.

Kathe, sorry to hear about Micah. That is bad news. Will be praying.

Deb, well done on the continued weight loss and increase in exercise!!!:thumbsup2

Kathy made it out of surgery ok... she's been moved to ICU for the next couple of days... now the fun begins with recovery...

Thanks all for the prayers and pixie dust...

That is the first hurdle over.

I had more sad news this week :sad2: Remember the little boy I mention from time to time who had cancer? He went on a disney cruise and to the parks this past summer and has been cancer free for a year now? Well, his grandma just got back from vacation on Monday, that same day tests have revealed his cancer is back :sad1: He is going through more tests to determine if it is just in one spot or to see if it has spread. I feel so very sad for this family. Micah has been getting so much stronger and healthier all year, so I pray he is strong enough to endure another round of chemo treatments. Would appreciate any prayers that could be sent his way :grouphug:

I remember you talking about Micah. So sad....poor little guy. It's so unfair. :sad1:

I do remember you mentioned about it and I feel that life sometime cruel.. I hope he fight for it and beat it...

well... today was a year for losing my dad...

It was a weird feeling... maybe because we weren't very close, I sometimes think he isn't gone...

Yes, it can be weird feeling...and

Today was 30 years ago, I lost my dear mum too...

I am fine today not like last Wed as I was very emotional but today I am okay...I bought a brunch of roses yesterday for her... and put it in a vase and put it in livingroom as it look lovely...

Time to share some Christmas pictures

Here's a close up of a few ornaments on the tree. The 2 angels are the girls. That was their annual ornament a couple years ago.

I feel so out of touch because I can't check this tread as often as I would like.

Of course I used to get busy at work and not be able to, but the difference before was, that while eating lunch, I'd jump online. Because we are now potentially monitored I stay away from it. I use my iPhone when I can. In the evening I'm sometimes just too tired to sit in front of yet another computer.

In about another week or two another change is being implemented, project time reporting. I am going to have to charge my time against project tasks so it can be tracked. I'm going to have to create detailed project plans for all of my projects so I can charge time for tracking.

This would not be the first environment I've had to do this in, but I hate it.

The business rationale is to get true project costs. I though wonder, through comments heard from the east, whether this is also to make sure we are not slacking off.

Oh well, it is what it is. The only control I have over the universe is myself and how I choose to react.

-----------------

Busy day today. Sukie and I are going to go try to get H1N1 shots, then we have to go to Costco and the supermarket. I highly doubt we will be getting any super bargains today!

I do though for some reason think I'm entitled to a new toy. This can be very dangerous when visiting Costco!

Ian, for the project/time tracking. Just remember, if you go to the bathroom while working on one particular project, that time gets allocated to that project! :lmao: Also, if you are interrupted by other work while on a specific project, that time still gets allocated to that project.

Any time you are thinking about a specific project...that time gets allocated to that project. Hence, if you are mulling over issues on a specific project during your commute, that time gets allocated to your project.

Yeah... I was gonna tell him the same thing about potty time...

Also nap time...

and don't forget all the EXTRA time you put in for that project...

& go play... take pics and tell us what you bought at Costco... and remember... we are NOT easily excited about the giant 30 roll package of double ply potty paper... (or ARE we???)

Ohhh you haven't lived until you've heard 2 old people talking about Tiger Wood's sex life... :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I "volunteered" to rewrite the community newsletter (BIG MISTAKE... cause now the president of the assoc. can email me at all hours...)

Well he's got a bug up his butt because I can't fit the word "over" onto the bottom of the page (I eliminated alot of other things to fit it in the 2 page max that we have in the budget...) I told him confidently that I thought the people in our neighborhood would be smart enough to see that there is writing on BOTH sides of the paper and if they were dumb enough not to see it... :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

So... he's been back and forth all week with the same piece of paper - even though I have emailed the sucker back and forth to HIS house (pity I live across the street from him...) over this one issue...

Anyway... since I am swacked out on pain meds... I've purposly avoided the front door because I am dresssed in not much more than a tank top... (well, during the winter I try not to get too close to the outdoors dressed that way... summer... all bets are off...)

SO... Don and my mother have struck up a conversation - or should I say DON has - and don't read anything into it... she'll shoot him before anything ever comes of it and get away with it... every time he has come across the street to pick up the copy of the newletter that I have ALREADY sent to him... 10 times...

I can't wait until next month when 1/2 of the board members become snow birds and leave for the south... although I'm sure that it won't be the last time I hear from him...

No wonder they have problems getting board members here...

OHHHHHH... & THE MUSCLE RELAXANTS HAVE ARRIVED!!!! :worship: :worship: :worship: (so I'll be asleep until I leave for TX... let me know if I've missed anything good...;))

Yes, it is unfair Holly :sad1: I think the battle this time around will be much harder on them all. This time Micah knows what to expect, and his mom is just 3 months pregnant.

Oh no, how awful. Please keep us updated. :grouphug:

My thoughts too.

I had a post the other night with specifics, but the board went down just as I hit submit, so poof

if only, ha. I've had reconcillations in my mind all week all the time. do you give me permission to bill my client for them too  never would get that bill paid :sad2:

what are your travel dates?

Kids have one more week of school then break for 2 weeks. eeek :scared1: I suspect I'll be working. My pt client is working out ok so far. now the proof will be in the next 30-60 days of how well they can collect on their invoices. it could go well and that would be a relief.

I gave Molly the job of decorating. She and I went thru the boxes she wanted disney this year, stocking, mantel decor etc... she still needs to get stuff from the table to the tree. Hopefully today it will be accomplised.

Watching Julia Childs on tv she made an omellet now I want one  but too lazy to cook it  cereal here I come.

This is way too confusing! :rotfl2: Makes me very grateful for my simple job! ;)

... and remember... we are NOT easily excited about the giant 30 roll package of double ply potty paper... (or ARE we???)

Actually, I think it might be very exciting, as I'm not sure I've ever seen a package of TP that big! :rotfl2:

I'm just going to have to get used to the new regime at work.

if only, ha. I've had reconcillations in my mind all week all the time. do you give me permission to bill my client for them too  never would get that bill paid :sad2:

Well, time tracking for management to determine how much time you spend on a task isn't the same as actually billing a client. I just know when I had to do it, it was a royal pain in the butt....I even allocated 15 minutes of my day to 'tracking work projects'. :rotfl:

Nan, I made a lovely omlette this morning, but now it's time to think about lunch! Have to go out and buy two work presents and some new shoes, so I think I'll take my book with me and stop at Subway for lunch.

FACEBOOK people, please note the link (on my wall and Dennis') about the privacy 'update' and be sure an adjust all your settings. (and think twice about all those applications)

Oh, I actually spent several hours de-cluttering this morning...still have my bedroom and office to do, but the rest of the house is ready for the cleaning people!
