::yes:: it is Shannon, right now I'm more  about spending the $$ for something that I already know  just give me the drugs:snooty:

The good news is that our doctor called back and gave me a script for her over the phone :thumbsup2

Bad news, she still has a fever and feels bad :sad2:

The sad news is that she will be missing her first school year concert tonight and Community dinner at her school :sad1:

But the last bit of Molly news is that she was placed BACK into advanced math. Last year she tested just below the cut off (handwriting issues on the test) and she got placed down in math, but she is one of the bright students so it really was a case of not reading what was best for the student. She has endured 6 weeks of average math class (BORING) and now has to suffer thru a schedule change of her core(english and social studies) teacher. She is happy about the harder math class, but we are all bummed that she has to re-learn a new core teacher :sad2:

I hope Molly is feeling better this morning.

I have about 11 gifts in the box on Farmville and about 96 on my Facebook homepage!!!:scared1: I sure need a huge farm now.:rotfl2:

Marilyn... sell... sell.. sell!!! :thumbsup2 Cattle futures are up!!! So are Pork Bellies and I just had chicken for lunch... so... :rotfl2:

I did do some selling last week but I do like some decorations, animals and trees!!! Perhaps when I get home. (Who mentioned home!)

I'm eager for today to be over and have a long weekend. I've got to go grocery shopping after work and pick up the necessities for Thanksgiving dinner. My sister has invited herself & her family to dinner, which is how we often do things. :goodvibes The more the merrier; the only thing that changes is whether I want to use the good china or not since it hand wash.

I'm being creative and making a chocolate pumpkin cake with cream cheese icing, which Ken and my sis think sounds awful, but I'm curious to try it. Sis wants pumpkin pie, so I'll do that. Ken doesn't care what we have for dessert, he just wants turkey. I have to get some bacon too, since I always put a couple strips of bacon on top of the turkey while its cooking. (Mom always does it that way, those pieces of bacon taste great and are a little snack for the cook and turkey cutter:thumbsup2) Does anybody else do that?

Nan - glad you were able to get Molly her medicine :goodvibes

Tonight, I'll be relaxing at home watching football and farming, and eating the delicious supper that Ken's going to make.:goodvibes

Ohhh Yeah.. I do turkey with bacon...

One year I was home alone on thanksgiving (school) and I made a turkey for myself (leftovers were great...) I put so much bacon on it because for the first time I didn't have to try and beat my brothers out for the bacon on top!!! You coudln't tell there was a turkey under... :rotfl:

We had an awesome time tonight! Scouts met at a local fire station, the biggest one around, one we'd never visited. It's probably the only one Tyler hadn't yet been to! ;) It was an open house and there were tons of activities to do! They had a small camper set up outside to look like a miniature home that kids can go into and learn about fire safety. Like there was a kitchen set up with a bunch of fire hazards that the kids had to look for. Then they fill the place up with fake smoke, the alarm goes off, and they have to practice crawling through the bedroom below the smoke, feeling for the window, figuring out how to get the window open, and climb out the window and down a small ladder. Tyler loved it so much, he went through twice. There was an area set up with a fake wooden house and fire hoses so you could spray the house, pretending to put out a fire. Tyler's sprayed real fire hoses a ton of time, so it wasn't a priority for him, but still fun. There were a bunch of areas set up inside, each table had stuff to give to the kids (they were given a bag on the way in to collect goodies): pencils, coloring books about fire safety, candy, stickers, bracelets, lots more I can't remember. There was a display set up to try to get more people to volunteer for the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) where you attend classes and become able to assist police and firefighters. There was a mascot walking around, I think his name is Fire Pup, there was a small firetruck with another mascot called Sparky driving around (remote control driven by a hidden firefighter) and he would talk and interact with the kids. Cookies, apple cider, a kids' version of a competition firefighters do, of course all kinds of vehicles to see and get inside (police car, police motorcycle, and the usual fire trucks and ambulance and boat). There was another area outside where you could put out a small fire with a fire extinguisher! That was AWESOME! Not so fun when a little kid accidentally had the extinguisher pointed the wrong way and sprayed me & Tyler. ;) AND THE BEST PART: A brand new Army Blackhawk helicopter, one of only 2 in the military so far, landed right in the parking lot, that thing was huge and SOOOOOOO cool!!!!! I'll share pictures in a couple days. Too tired tonight. Oh......and there was a drawing to win dinner at the fire station with the fire fighters. I entered Tyler a whole bunch of times, so I hope his name gets drawn! :)

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 Sounds like a wonderful outing Holly! I'm glad you and Tyler had such a great time!

Shannon, hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving! I'm getting off very easy this year...I just have to bring rolls and wine! I'm feeling a little guilty...but just a little! I have been working almost every day, and throwing a 2 yr old a party, and getting used to a 2 yr old and her dad living in my house again! I am in need of a break, and I'm so very lucky to have my SIL who is being so generous

Enjoy your SIL's dinner, that's what family does :goodvibes It must be fun but tiring have a full house again :)

It was funny for us, because I had emailed Ken on Wed to ask if anyone was coming down for Thanksgiving (he works with his dad and my sister). He said nobody had asked and since we have so much to do, we agreed not to invite people, but if someone invited themselves that would be fine. Then half an hour later, he calls me up to say my sister wants to come for Thanksgiving dinner if we're doing it on Sunday :rotfl: Since we live about 90minutes apart, and my allergies make it so I'm miserable in her house, I'd rather cook and have them come. I actually like doing turkey dinners, they are easy. Ken always wants them at our house, so he can have leftovers :)
