Marilyn, she posted a link to a news article about it on a previous page of this thread. It was an attack by a bear they were keeping.

Thanks Holly. I'm missing bits as I am just popping in. Deb did send a PM to get me up to date. How horrible that accident was.

We are computerless at the moment as John's Mac has died. We are at the apple Store(for second time!!) so we will see if they can do anything. I'm missing my farm and fist tank(though the tank not so much). I did manage to feed the fish though and harvest broccoli.

Not sure when I will be back online.

Went to the Halloween party last night and had a great time. Have sooooooo much candy!!

Oh no, I hope they can fix his Mac soon!

Glad you had fun at the Halloween party! Heather, Tom & Bethany are going on the 12th. I was going to try to send Tyler down to go with them and stay a couple days, but couldn't swing that as well as the deposit on the PC cruise. Maybe next year. :thumbsup2

I wonder how the streamlining test will work out. I know often, when we travel, usually Ken & I the girls tell me what they want and then they go find a spot to sit while I get all the food. Its so much easier than having the kids and bags going through the line ups. I understand the logic of it from Disney's standpoint, and I think part of switching to backless stools is to be less comfortable so people don't linger.

We do it the same way Shannon, as do lots of families. Kids are tired at lunch time and wanna sit down. DUH:sad2:

These are some recent pictures from the local paper....some were taken by the helicopters doing fly bys yesterday.

Here's Mike: (Well this one wasn't taken yesterday)

Here's the animal compound:

Here's Tigger:

I like what he does (i read the article) but it makes me so sad to see animals in a cage that small. I know they are bigger than they appear, but they are still cages and that isn't how God indeed them to live :sad1:

Paul wondered what kind of permit and safety assurances they had to offer to be in a area that is "residential" I know you are rural, but are you a little bit concerned that one of the animals (heaven forbid) could have gotten out? The whole thing is a shame I'm really sorry for the lost of your friend

I keep forgetting something I wanted to share! I got an email yesterday from the special ed teacher and have to share:

HI-
Sorry it has been a whild since I updated you but I will try to be more regular in the future. Tyler is doing well academically. He is willing to work harder and not give up or get frustrated as eailily. You should have seen him working on his writing assesment. He was spending several minutes sounding words that he didn't know and really working them through. He is also very much enjoying Math and is doing very well with the second grade math curriculum. He has an awsome Math brain.
Behavioraly we are having some issues especially with recess times, he is very hands on at recess. If he is hands on other kids at recess the next day he misses that recess. I'm not sure yet if this is making an impact but we will see. He also is struggling more in the afternoon than the morning. It is very difficult for him to hold it together in the afternoon. We will continue to monitor this and try to figure out a way to make him more successful. Overall I am very pleased with how his year started.

Holly, great news. It's nice to have an update with both the positives and what to work on. Tyler has made leeps and bounds of progress since 2 short years ago. Good work Mom

I thought that was your plate all along??? :rotfl:

Oh dear, I am addicted to Farmville!!!

Holly, such great news about Tyler!!!!

The computer needs to be sent away, and it was debatable that it would get back before we left to go home. So we are waiting till we get home to have it seen to. We bought a cheap laptop that we will be able to bring with us in future. I am making loads of mistkes as the keyboard is smaller and other things are different. If ever I need it, there is no pound sign!!! Monetery that is!!!

Off to sort out my farm a bit.:lmao:

Monica, both those signs are so cute!

I thought you were cruising for your birthday? Or is that NEXT year? :confused3

Sorry to tell you... but your farm bit the big one.... :sad2:

But since you are on vacation... it doesn't count...

Hi Jackie!!! :yay:

I can't work on the farm oin this computer!! It is just too slow and the mouse seems all jerky and difficult to work. Ah well.

Well, I didn't do anything, he's done all the work. It's nice to see him smiling on the way to school. And at a doctor appointment on Monday, when the doctor asked him how school is going, it was nice to hear him happily say "Good!" Usually he says, "It's OK I guess" or some other unenthusiastic answer. :goodvibes

Marilyn, you're going to go through FarmVille withdrawal!!! :rotfl2:

Managed to plant a bit of broccoli, butnot much and it was really turning my stomach in knots with it being so slow and jerky!!

Marilyn...

You have my sympathy for your farm...
