What I've been wondering all day is why there were no itineraries for the new ship? Isn't it supposed to start sailing in 2011? Or did I just miss that somewhere?

Yeah, I know, but the lure of a 15 day cruise has me hooked, and I've had my heart set on the PC one. I just have to do it one more time, then if DCL does Alaska the following year (I can hope, right?) I'm in! :thumbsup2

I would think that if the first year of Alaska is successful, that they do it again.

I'll help with the crocheting of scarves too :woohoo:

With the scarves (Michelle, Shannon, Lisa) do we already have our first fish extender team?

All right! I'm on a team! :cool1:

When doing a B2B, do you get to stay on board at the transition period or do they kick you off?

Will it be 2 cruise threads on here or just one?

I saw somewhere that info will come out on Oct 29th but it sounds like 3/4 night Bahamas until the Magic gets back from Europe.

Well, I guess I'd better go find that 2011 PC thread again and see if I know anybody planning on that cruise. And I have more farming to do! Back in a bit! :goodvibes

Recent reports have people getting off for an hour or two - not having to take their stuff or anything though. Plus I would imagine we have to get off to go through customs.

Oh, that makes sense! :thumbsup2

When both new ships are up and running, I think it's going to really change the dynamics of the DIS boards. There would be double the threads probably, and I don't think there will be as much running into people you've cruised with before since we'll all be spread out so much more. And you know, how everybody knows lots of the CMs, and lots of them remember past cruisers, that probably won't happen as much because so many more people will be passing through. I could be wrong, but it just seems like it can't be the same. Not sure if I made that make sense.

Well, I'm going to hope for that then! Maybe many of you will repeat the next year and I can join then! It makes me sad to have to wait that long to cruise with you all, but it will be worth the wait! :grouphug:

Yep - makes sense. But is also going to increase the number of friends you just haven't met yet

That's a good way to look at it! :goodvibes I needed a positive way to think. I'm usually able to find something positive about most things, but couldn't for some reason. Change isn't my friend and this will be a major change I think. I could be wrong though, so no point in worrying about it now.

(Gee, you'd think I've been drinking tonight, I'm saying some pretty weird stuff!) :rotfl2:

I think there will be a few people that expand and cruise the new areas, but I think a lot of repeat cruisers will stay in their geographic area. I think it'll bring in some new people. For example, for those on the west, the cruises got a lot cheaper now that we don't have to fly across N. America to get there.

Personally, I think the CM's are good at faking who they remember, and for sure, the servers are told when they get a repeat cruiser, so they can act like they remember. Disney is all about providing an experience and being 'remembered' is part of the experience. I'm sure there are some cases of honest remembering, but not all.

For once I'm not worried about customs.

And I think the CDN Customs on the way back to Vancouver should make all US Citizens get up REALLY early and head down to the theatre to go through there... All CDN's can sleep in.

I doubt that will happen. Just think about the Vancouver airport, they treat everybody the same. It'll be all or none, getting up ridiculously early.;)
