HI Lisa! Glad to see you here! Sorry about the gestational diabetes, but it sounds like you're handling it well.How is everyone doing? That was exciting news this morning. I think Alaska would be fun - I was also crossing my fingers for Hawaii in the mix. We couldn't do the May cruise...we canceled our April transatlantic b/c we found out middle school and missing time is a no-no around here. So I think we would go in August before school starts up again. We have a placeholder cruise right now...so will for sure change. I just don't know if I can be happy with only 7 days!
Hope everyone is doing well. I'm huge! Got 4 weeks to go. Got gestational diabetes with this pregnancy so such a pain - have to test myself several times a day and take insulin. Good news is maybe the baby can come early! STILL have not come up with a name. Right not the ones in the running (besides Penny of course) is Kylie, Abigail, and Isabel. Argg.. hormones make me think all names don't work. I also like Annie, but that is my sister's name who we see/hang out with all the time, so might be confusing as she gets older... any suggestions???
Very cute names you're considering.....I love Kylie best! Did you consider having the boys vote? Just a thought. Can't wait to see pictures of your little girl when she's finally here! Not much longer now!

We (hopefully) will luck out on the booking date, this is the exact date when final payment is due for the dummy date we booked on board. So if I can just transfer to the wonder, our deposit is already taken care of.

It sounds wonderful, but I doubt we can join in as I thought about it. If the plan is to go on the repo then the first Alaskan . . . primarily because school will still be in, and Sophia will be in 5th grade. That would be right about the time of proficiency testing in Ohio - a big no-no for pulling kids out.
Especially for a school board member . . .
On the bright side, since the Alaskan cruises are all summer, there are lots of opportunities to go once school is out. Is anyone else with kids thinking this way???
I sure would love to see everyone again, but I just don't think that time of year with 5th grade will work for us.
We're planning to pull the kids out, but there's no worries for standardized tests for us. Shaelyn will be in grade 4 and Kaleigh will be in kindergarten.

Congrats on the Excellent rating! Speaking of ratings, I saw something that made me chuckle when we were in Muskegon, MI a couple weeks ago. I often see schools who have a sign on their building saying that they were rated Excellent for a certain number of years, or something similar. But......in Muskegon, we drove by a school, and I had to do a double-take because I couldn't believe what I was seeing, there was a big sign on the school that said, "Rated Adequate for 3 Years in a Row".
Why on earth would a school want to announce to the world that they're only "adequate"?

Thanks for the email! As far as a picture, imagine a whale and that'd be me right now! One of those ladies at the market that gives people sample of their cookies said to me "Oh, so you are having twins?" I said no with a very "gee that wasn't nice" look. She then went on to say..."well it most be a very big baby then." Geez...best not to go out and public right now!LISA!!!!!
