Well, I slept from 6:30pm to 7:30 am (went to bed at 6pm and read a bit first) and feel like I could sleep more, but do feel rested enough to get through the day for a change. :thumbsup2 Have to be to work in 20 minutes, so off I go!

ME TOO!!! :cool1:

Deb, great news on the VA appointment, at least things are moving now. Just be sure to make a copy of your receipts whenever they ask for them because I've learned at work that government offices are famous for "losing" things.

That is an extremely good idea that I did not think of. Thanks Holly. I'm happy that things are moving again. Of course, I have 6 business days left before leaving on vacation and I have all this work to get done before taking off. I'm supposed to be finishing packing and getting my hair done, etc. Instead I'll be working on this and getting to a bank to open a separate account for the VA to use to deposit Ray's money when it starts coming in, per their instructions. It's a good thing I finished packing all my clothes last weekend. At least I got a start on it.

Yeah, and that was crappy when he said it takes most people a year to get their appointment. You'd think he'd NOT want to admit that their system is so screwed up. That's just unacceptable!

It felt like he was trying to bully me. At the very least, he was not happy with me for doing it. I don't care. I need to take care of me.

I think it's ridiculous too. This is a program that is only for veterans who are elderly in a permanent home care facility that need help. They gave years of their life for our country, the least they can do is receive help for care when they are older and in need.

It should not take over a year to get them their benefits. At times I thought that they were just procrastinating until Ray dies so that they wouldn't have to pay. This has to be an issue for at least some of their applicants.:confused3

Have an awesome day Holly. It's almost Friday.

It's a great day so far, I've spent the whole morning on FB and farming! :rotfl: But I certainly can't post that over there.

I just realized something. I should be getting hungry for lunch now, but am not. I had a banana for breakfast, and it's strange that I wasn't more hungry because I did go to bed instead of eating supper last night. The lack of appetite is the most bizarre thing for me, considering how much I eat! Oh well, at least I slept a lot. I'm going to do the same tonight because although I felt like I had a bit of energy this morning, I'm fading fast. Crazy!

I'm very pleased to announce that I have at long last given birth tonight. I have finally released Mouse Manager 1.1.2. It's only taken nearly 6 months.

Now I start, when I get back, on the redesign for version 2.0.

Here's a fun fact for you all --- there are over 3,000 registered Mouse Manger users.

didn't get onto the computer last night, as I spent the evening reading. then tonight I tried the laptop and got the blue screen of death. Ken did some restore-thingy and now I must play with it and see if it misbehaves again.

Deb, it sounds like you've got a lot to do, but it will be so worth it to get that money coming in. I'm still amazed that his own children do nothing

Well done Ian. Now you can relax for a few weeks!!

Maybe this will get Bubba and V back to Florida:

Opening August 28 2009, La Cava del Tequila in the Mexico pavilion offers 70 varieties of the popular beverage. With 46 seats, the lounge will offer premium tequilas and margaritas, with light Mexican appetizers.

Girls don't go back to school here until after Labour Day - Sept 8th. Actually only Shaelyn goes back to school as Kaleigh is still too young (one more year to go), she'll go back to regular daycare.

That sounds very dangerous!! The dismeet that never left!! :lmao:

Hello all!

I think I am done writing proposals for the next little while anyhow. Which is nice because it really disrupts the day-to-day activities and is a very stressful time. Now it is just about the waiting and seeing if we were successful with any of them... But now I can get on with my regular duties.

Shannon and I just met with the door guy who came and measured us for new front and back doors. Be nice to get those in. But while he was here he piqued our interest in possibly redoing our windows. However, the cost estimate he gave us for ballpark figuring was approximately $800 per window and the bid front room window would be roughly double that. That was if we kept the siding on the house. If we were going to reside the house then the post would be a couple hundred $$ less per window. That's a big expense right now and would take up a good portion of our repo cruise money, so we have to really think about it right now. But we do need new windows for certain!

Other than that, not much else going on. Shannon is planning on a girls night out with some of her friends for Saturday night and Shaelyn and Kaleigh are going camping with their grandparents, so it looks like Saturday I will be going back to bachelorhood days. Not sure what I will do with myself.
