So Holly... I saw those... do they glow??? Are they nuclear???
:rotfl2:No, they're a special reward for this weekend. FarmVille was trying to reach a certain number of users or fans or something, and they said when they reached that number we'd get the Superberries. They're just strawberries that can be harvested in only 2 hours instead of 4, and you get 100 coins instead of 35.

It's much warmer here than the weather we had in the Rockies over the past week. If it had been much warmer though, it would have made the long trails we walked seem so much longer , so I actually think we had perfect weather for our vacation. It only rained the first day, other than a few drops here and there.I've really enjoyed the warm sunny day here today though, as it's my last day of vacation. I have to work tomorrow afternoon. I sat out on the deck and finished my latest book (The Kite Runner) while I was doing laundry as well. I even cut the grass, and it certainly needed it :scared1:

I was really glad I hadn't listened to the news or weather yesterday, or I would have been very nervous flying home. My flight was a little late leaving Calgary. I didn't think much of it, and was very surprised to find out this morning that we had very bad storms and tornadoes close to home yesterday. Several homes were destroyed and one young boy in Durham was killed :sad1:

Wow, I'm glad you missed all that bad weather on your way home. :scared1:

Sounds like a lot of chaos going on in your house! Will your kitchen be done before you leave for vacation?

So true Holly.

The kitchen floor is a separate issue. John has replaced some floor boards. We are going to leave the flooring back to completely dry out while we are away and they probably get some new to go back down. The extension is going to be an en suite at the side of our bedroom and a walk in cupboard on the side of the other bedroom. Once they have cut through and cleaned up the spare room we are moving into there and getting our bedroom ready for them to cut through there. Getting ready to go on vacation is very stressful at the moment. Can't wait to be over there though.

Marilyn,
Sounds like you are having your share of chaos :scared1: I bet it will be SO nice when the reno is finished, though. You will have deserved this vacation coming up! Hope we get to see before and after pics :thumbsup2

Nan, I've never seen anybody so happy with a cast!:lmao:

 Okay, I'm reading backwards...Nan??? Are you okay

I'm usually not a worrier (except when it involves Tyler), but all the strange skin issues I've been having me are kind of worrying me. I can't help but wonder if they're all related to one cause. I have no idea what that might be, but I've never had any of these strange things before, and for them to keep showing up little by little, it just makes me wonder. The stuff I described before, patches on my face that look like eczema, then the flaking, dry, cracking skin on my whole eyelids, then it spread to the lower lids, then growths started showing up on the eyelids like skin tags (2 on one lid, 1 on the other eyelid, a new one today on a lower lid), then on down to my lips, just above the top lip and right under the lower lip is scaley, then the strange patches on the upper chest, then the shaving cut not healing without antibiotics (and I've since had a 2nd shaving cut that is now very infected), and the almost plate sized bruise on my leg when I used to not bruise easily and certainly never more than maybe a quarter size bruise. I find myself wondering if the tiredness is related too.

Or......perhaps it's just coincidence and normal stuff due to getting older.

I have a doctor appointment tomorrow morning for completely unrelated stuff (annual yucky exam), and I'm going to show her all of these things and ask her if I should be worried or ask her if I need to go to a dermatologist for some kind of special lotion. I guess I just need people to say, Oh, quit whining, no reasons to worry. :thumbsup2

Holly, was your dr's appointment today? I'm sure everything is okay, but it's best to ask of course, so you can stop worrying

OK, now that I'm caught up here.....Here's my list from today:

My doctor wants me to go see a dermatologist because she's doesn't like my moles and she's never seen anything like some of the weird things my skin is doing.

She gave me prescription for some kind of eyedrops because it looks like my childhood allergies have returned (the white part of my eyes turns completely red).

She had me do the lovely pee in a cup deal and will check that all out.

Sorry to the men for this one: she did a pap smear and chest exam, and is sending me to have a mammogram.

And she freaked out when she saw the plate-size bruise on my inner thigh and couldn't believe it still looks the way it does after a whole week, she said bruises that big usually don't happen unless you really whack yourself on something (which I didn't, I just dragged across something on the boat, didn't even hurt), and she didn't like some other bruises on me when I told her I often wake up to find more, so she's doing an in-depth blood workup. So I'm doing the 12-hour fast right now and will go to the lab in the morning for my blood draw.

Oh....and the growths on my eyelids, she told me those can be caused from cholesterol, so that's something else that's being checked out.

It kind of freaks me out that she's checking so many things! But it will be good to know what's up. :thumbsup2

You read my mind, I was typing the answer as you posted the question. :goodvibes

Oh, and Michelle, I just discovered the Superberries are HUGE! Mine are ready to harvest and they made me laugh when I saw them! :rotfl2:

::yes:: Yes, rent the movie, it's enjoyable. I actually saw it twice, which I often do when a movie is based on a book I've read. The first time I'm just doing constant comparisons with the book, then I like to go back (if it was any good) and watch it for it's own value.

The second movie comes out this fall...I think in November.

HI EVERYBODY!

.

Jackie, have you seen the movie The Time Travellers Wife yet? I am eager to see it.

touche'

But here is the new cast

(he looks a little glazed over here, it was from the excitement of getting an ORANGE cast. The doc had told him no orange (his favorite color) but turns out he was wrong :thumbsup2

I have realized that why I don't post them here, it's a PIA. I post all the time on FB, one step, here, have to download to PB then post here, too much work :rolleyes1

Oh Nan, it was Wilson that broke his arm! Give him a hug for me  How did it happen? Does this means no more racing this year  I'm so sorry. He certainly does look happy though!

Kathe, since you're not on Facebook, maybe we can get Nan to post here the picture of his arm BENT mid-forearm!

Holly, your Dr sounds very efficient, and that's a good thing :thumbsup2
Usually there are very easy answers to health concerns, so don't worry too much  I'm glad you are getting them checked out right away though.

OK, here's something indeed worth staying up for. I hope I'm the first to say.......

:cake::cake:HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICHELLE!!!!!!:cake::cake:
:bday:party::bday:party::bday:party::bday:party::bday:
:jumping1::dancer::dance3::dancer::dance3::jumping1::dancer::dance3::jumping1:

I'm certainly not the first to say.....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICHELLE!!!

Hope you had a great day! Did you do anything special?

It was a shocking picture. I would have been screaming if I saw my arm like t hat, but Wilson was looking quite calm. Brave kid!

Neither one of my kids has broken a bone, but they have both had to have stitches. Each time I was forced to sit down by the nurses...came close to fainting each time

:tiptoe: shhhhhhh.... I'm sneaking in...

Hi everyone, I just read the last 10 or so pages. It's great to hear how everyone is doing and I'm glad that there's the glue (whether or not it's CRAZY:dance3:) that's holding the thread together.

I've had a really nice summer, been to DL 4 times since May. I spent my 60th birthday there (maybe I already posted that), had a couple of nice trips to the beach with family, and got to tour the Disney studios last Sat. (D23) which was lots of fun.

My niece gave birth to her 3rd child on July 4 and she invited me to be in the room when she delivered. It was a wonderful experience. Here's a picture of little Graham (her maiden name) taken a couple of weeks ago at a family bbq:

Since that was taken I understand he's started to really smile, which I can't wait to see!

Between trips I've been doing laundry, going through mail, seeing movies, doing a little cleaning (but not much!) and staying indoors out of the heat. I could never survive in the valley, even though I grew up in that heat. Now if it's over 90º I just wilt. By this time of year I've had it up to here; also we haven't had our usual monsoons for the last several weeks so it's just unrelenting. Tonight, at last, a storm blew in and now it's nice and cool. Here's a picture of just as it was beginning to rain this evening, very pretty rainbow right over my house:

Then another week and I'll be on the ship!:yay::yay: I wish it was going to be a full reunion of all of us!

Hope everyone has a super weekend!:lovestruc:lovestruc

Oh boy, I hope Tyler doesn't break anything or need stitches. :scared1:

Whats up Honey Buns??? You cant get kicked off FB, can you?

I'm tryin not to... but well.. apparently I talk too much... :lmao:

Michelle, I thought you meant me! :rotfl2:

You'll have to ask Bubba for a sweet nickname... but I'm warning you.. Gaylean has most of them...

Marilyn,

Glad to hear she's thorough... it's probably just something that has to be adjusted - vitamins minerals, etc..

Ohhhh Cheri... just show up more often... ok???? (was that enough guilt?)

I normally eat right up until I go to bed, and I can't tonight because of the stupid 12 hour fast before blood draw. I've never had to do this before. SO.......I have to get into bed before I start EATING. At least this will get me up early on a Saturday morning. You know that means I'll be taking a long nap though! :rotfl2:
