I've tried it. Didn't like it. I only drink MGD 64.Holly, have you tried that Bud Light with Lime? Its selling like hot cakes up here. I don't really like beer, so I haven't tried it, but I'm kind of curious about it, and surprised that it keeps selling out.![]()

Good night Holly! and shaving your legs is a cultural thing, many women do not in other areas (or even shave their pits!)
BOTH. I went to the doctor yesterday and she gave me a giant antibiotic (Keflex) to take every 6 hours for 10 days. She told me it looks like the early stages of cellulitis and to come back in if it's not fully healed in 7 days. But it's getting better already. It no longer hurts with every step I take. No scab yet, and just now when I looked at it, it's leaking (now I understand what that means when Deb says it). It's still hard to the touch and the redness surrounding it has spread, but it is definitely on the mend.
I know, and that's why it bugged me that she asked me why I have to shave. I'd never ask anybody why they don't shave because I know other cultures don't. I'm sure it's fine for some, but gross for me.BUT.....I do have to add....I usually don't shave in the winter because nobody's going to see me legs, and in the summer I only shave on days I'll be wearing shorts, which hasn't been often this summer.
Good morning all and good Saturday.
I'm planning on not spending the day locked in the bathroom today.
We're waiting for a delivery from Home Depot, 25 bags of mulch and 23 stepping stone.
I had some major masonry work done on the western side of our house this week. The previous owner had put some cement flashing over the brick, about 5 feet up from the ground level and all along the side of the house. The brick on that side of the house was crumbling and falling away. I found a really good masonry company on Angie's List and found out that the cement flashing was trapping the moisture coming out of the basement and not letting the brick breath, so it was mineralizing and crumbling. Also cement walkway between my house and western property line, was slanting towards the house and so, trapping moisture.
I had to wait 7 weeks for the masonry guy to fit us in, but the work happened this week.
They replaced the crumbling brick all along that side of the house. Also a couple of our glass block basement windows were cracked and some of the block broken nearly through to inside our living space.
I also had them tear up the cement walkway all long the side of the house, all the way back to the alley. No one uses that side of the house. I've long since put in locked gates across the back and the front, because we used to have people using it as a passageway to cut-through from the alley to the street, plus people using it for all sorts of questionable acts including using it as a toilet.
We only use it to walk out to the garage door on the side, and for large deliveries in through the back.
So, we bought 25 bags of mulch is being delivered and 25 stepping stones all of which are being delivered today.
We've got some side yard work to do.
Wow, motivation. Something of which I have 0 of today. Got lots of work to do in the yard myself, but I have 0 desire to do it right now. Post up some pics afterwards and maybe that will motivate me...
Wow, that's quite a lot of work. Long time for you to wait for them to fit you in, but I'm sure it was well worth the wait. You and Ian will be very busy for a while doing the rest of the work, but it sure will look nice.Good morning all and good Saturday.

I tried one of those many many years ago and it was very difficult because my hair comes in so thick, it's almost like bristles of a brush, so not much works other than shaving every single day (when I'm wearing shorts, that is). But maybe I should give one of those a try again if they make the hairs come in finer.I bought an epilator about 12 years ago(I'm on my second one now) and that was a brilliant buy. Only need to do my legs about every 3-6 weeks and it is like waxing in that it plucks the hairs out. Can be a bit painful at first but you soon get used to that and it IS worth it. Hairs come through finer too.
Farmville on Facebook.
I've been wondering why some people who are playing are not showing up as neighbours on my farm (Shannon & Holly most noticeably). Figured it out today.
If you send 16 gifts, you can't accept more neighbours. Facebook limits the "invites" to 16 per 24 hour period. Neighbour requests and gifting are both considered an "invite". So if you max out your gifts (which is easy to do and I have been doing it every time I can), you can't get any more neighbours for that day.
Tested it today with Shannon, and I'm happy to say that she is now my neighbour (maybe one day she'll even move in with me).
So anyhow, if you have people that are "pending neighbours" and you keep sending them reminders but they aren't showing up, even though they are playing, try not sending as many gifts for a day or two and it should clear itself up.
Today is the first day I shaved after my giant cut last Saturday (haven't been wearing shorts) and I was SOOOOO nervous around that area!I survived, but am probably grossing everybody out at the laundromat!
