Should be some interesting stories then tomorrow Holly!!! That is unless you are asleep as soon as you get home.:lmao:

Enjoy yourselves. You might just like it!!

It was tolerable. It wasn't tent camping, so that was a relief, but not much of a step above that. The whole campground is full of the kind of camper that you'd pull behind a truck and most people have build a screen room to attach to it, with a deck outside of that. These are permanent fixtures and people have gardens and sheds to store things, etc. Tyler and I slept in the screen room, which wasn't fully attached, meaning there was a gap at the bottom and on the sides a bit so MOSQUITOS could come in. I didn't realize this until we were trying to sleep while hearing them buzz by.

The bathroom in their camper was stinky, so I preferred to walk all the way to the building that has bathrooms and showers.

But I did enjoy the campfire for HOURS last night. :goodvibes When we first got there, Tyler went to play on a playground with some kids his age whose parents were visiting the family we stayed with, then we went for a long boat ride while some kids were being pulled by a tube behind the boat, then we had s'mores and sat by the fire until midnight! Tyler asked if we could go to bed, he was so sleepy. He was dozing off around 9pm. Poor kid.

Then we all got up at 7am to go to church, 7 of us piled into their van, went to the smallest church I'd ever seen, it was a very cute place! It had a real bell that had a rope hanging inside that a guy was pulling to ring the bell! Neat! Then we all went out for breakfast, and back to camp to swim all day. There's a floating trampoline in the water for kids to play on. Very cool!

I would go again, if it weren't for the mosquitos. :guilty:

You and your bugs... any news on the giant ant from last year and the bees?:sad2::sad2:

:rotfl2: No more giant ants, only that one last year and about 4 this spring until I sprinkled stuff outside around the whole house and have had no ants or bugs at all. NO BEES this year! :cool1:

Awwwww... Make sure you take one of the picks and put it in a small frame so he has a "special" picture of him and HIS sister... :lovestruc

Yes, I already planned on framing one pic for him to keep out somewhere. He has a picture of him and his dad together in our living room. I throw darts at it when he's not here.

It's only overnight...you'll be fine!!! :flower3:
Yes, I survived. I wasn't thrilled about it, but Tyler loved it so much, and he just couldn't believe I was willing to take him because he knows it's not my thing. He was so happy about it, I'm sure we'll go again. He thinks I had a great time, so I pulled that off somehow! ;)

Good luck. I hate camping too and ::yes:: one night can be miserable I suggest a pedicure the next day to recover ::yes::

:rotfl2:I like how you think, Nan! No pedicure (I've never had one), but my reward is ice cream! :goodvibes

He is doing well, I'm exhausted. I woke up with a migraine, took a pill and tried to sleep it off. It has been in the background all day.

Willie is not wanting to be alone. So it's me and him, except when I'm running an errand. Which is fine, but Paul seems to not be "getting" it. So he and I are at odds.

I'm tired...:sad2:

We are watching Bedtime Stories now :happytv:

:hug::hug::hug::hug::hug:
Sounds like YOU could use that pedicure!

Okay, I logged in via Firefox, so I can't do multi-quotes:headache:

We had a good afternoon going out to a different lake for some kayaking. It was higher into the mountains, so it was 10degrees cooler there than when we left our house. Overall a nice afternoon :)

And Holly, congrats, you survived camping! :cool1:

I've never had trouble multi-quoting when I use Firefox on my laptop. Strange.

Sounds like you guys had a relaxing afternoon! :thumbsup2

Yes, I survived. When I was 20 or 21 and lived in Wyoming, I'd go with a bunch of friends and throw a sleeping bag on the ground to sleep in, have a campfire for smores, and that was camping. Not sure what happened to that girl!

I'm really glad I have a checkup this week with my doctor. I've had a few red bumps in one area of my skin that have been there a while, I thought maybe they were pimples or a rash or something, but 3 of the bumps expanded almost overnight and are one red area combined, and the skin feels different, sort of like how it would feel after you pop a blister. I don't mean it hurts, there's no pain or itching, it's just how it feels on my finger when I touch it....sort of wet and clammy. Crazy, huh? Sorry to be gross. It's just strange that it's spreading larger but doesn't hurt or itch, it's just there.

Sounds weird, might just be eczema or something, but worth checking out.:confused3

I would think eczema too, except it doesn't itch or hurt. The doctor I'm seeing this week is my stupid one who asked me "Why do you have to shave?" when I went in for the infected giant shaving cut on my leg, and when I was worried about how much I sleep, she told me to just set my alarm on weekends. LOL! She completely missed the point about it being strange that I physically CAN sleep 24 hours straight. Most people reach a point where they just can't sleep any more. If she tells me about the skin stuff to just use more lotion, I'll probably slap her. ;)

Holly, next time you "need" to go camping, I recommend Bailey's and marshmallows. Roast the marshmallow over the campfire and then when it is a nice golden brown dip it into a glass of Bailey's. Then savour it.

Scrumpdilicious and one of the main reasons I go camping.

I've never had a problem multi quoting either... maybe it's your connection or something...

& glad you had a nice day... could have used that temp drop today - we got into the '90's...

This was the longest we have driven from home just to go kayaking - 45 minutes.

OH YEAH, I think you're right! Hahahaha!

GO GET IT CHECKED OUT!!!:idea:

Um....I think you missed the first part of that post that said I'm glad I already have a checkup this week. :thumbsup2 NO WORRIES (except for pictures I found on some med websites that look exactly what my chest looks like, combined with a couple other things I never connected until now).
