What long weekend??? The 4th is sat. So no long weekend for me!

Oh, sorry. John has off on Friday because the holiday is on Saturday. I thought everyone got an extra day off.

Do you plan on setting anything off on Saturday? Going to a party, barbequing with family? Doing anything to celebrate?

Fireworks of any kind are illegal around these parts. And no, nothing planned. Might try to find a spot to watch the fireworks the city sets off, but probably not.

I'm glad you are so content together Deb and John. It sounds like you have a lovely weekend planned - I love fireworks. A winery sounds a great addition too!!:)

It is a special weekend for us too - our Ruby wedding anniversary is on Sunday. We aren't having a party but are doing loads of things over the weekend. Meal out, breakfast out, afternoon tea out, meal at our son and daughter in law's. Very nice!!!

Can't believe it is 40 years. Makes me feel very old. Been a great 40 years though.

The best part is that it has been a great 40 years. It's definitely special and worth celebrating. I'm so glad that you have planned four meals out....hahaha. I hope you share some bubbly while you're at it too. Cheers! To another 40 happy years together.

Wow, illegal to do your own....not here.

We go down to the Delaware River in Bethlehem....it's a good size river and there's a small island in the middle of it named Sand Island. The town shoots them off on Sand Island and the people can line up all along the river on both sides and get a great view. We have a special spot where we go and it never gets crowded. The town puts on a nice show too.

Sometimes the best times are had when you have no plans at all. I hope you and V enjoy and slug a few together.

It was a 3-camera shot, and they had mics, I suspect it was a Disney promo.

I mean why not manufacture schmaltz if it's not happening organically?

Yup... and it was posted by Disney Parks... but it WAS cute... :goodvibes

AND... we got to see what the SCOOTER LADY has been up to lately!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

HAPPY CANADA DAY!!!

:rockband::rockband::rockband:

party:party:

We're having a family bbq this afternoon. Of course, we're going to need this :umbrella:

Shannon, hope you and Ken and the girls have a sunny and fun Canada day!

I think you should have waited until Friday to have it and then you could have had a long weekend...

Does anyone have any plans for the long 4th of July weekend? John and I talked about going to the Sands casino and losing a roll of quarters and then going to see the fireworks. Both are in Bethlehem. That's where we used to live. I love that town.

Too much rain and nothing we want to see playing at Becky's Drive In....so that's out. We would conisder going to the local town pool, which is beautiful, if the weather holds out. So far no swimming this year....too much rain and no sun. We also talked about going to the local winery...we just happen to have one right down the block from us.

It's nice just being the two of us...the kid is not around and we're not taking Ray out....so it's just us. We usually have a family barbeque, but no one is here anymore. I'm enjoying that and I like sharing time with just me and John.

Nothing planned here... quiet... awaiting the QM's arrival home from the Codish Cape...

Bubba... you may inquire with your Queen (Nan) if you may take a long weekend... I wish I could help you, but you reside in HER kingdom... (maybe she'll give you Monday off... ;))

Jacks did theirs last weekend...

I'm back to tracking again today. 21 points remaining for the rest of the day. I got on the scale this morning, but I didn't log it. I gained 1 lb. I have a long way to go in the other direction so I can't afford to blow it now. I need to keep it moving forward. I'm back on the program.

Anyone else track their food today?

Good Luck Deb!!! :thumbsup2

Thanks Chelle. I can't give up the ship. I gotta keep pushing forward. I especially have to do it for my leg. It is getting much better again. I have not had it wrapped in a couple of months. It doesn't leak. Losing weight has helped and I still keep my legs up, so it works. I've got to continue losing to keep making it better.

Today is my brother's birthday. I called him at lunchtime in Texas. He said he was supposed to go out tonight with a friend but he cancelled because he doesn't feel like celebrating. He's still upset about Brian. He's taking it worse because he said he didn't know anything....not even that Brian was sick. Brian made me promise not to say anything to anyone when he told me. So it was a total shock for my brother.

Then Jimi said that he never got closure because he never got to say goodbye to our grandmother, mom and now Brian. He's having a really hard time with all of this. I wish I could help him, but I just don't know what I can do.

So much for a happy birthday for him. :sad1::sad1::sad1:

Hey Wow! You guys remember me! LOL. Just a joke because I am never here anymore on this thread.

Well, I start back to work on Monday. It is a bummer because I have been enjoying being home. I can't go to Gatlinburg, real bummer, since I will be getting back to work and Gatlinburg is 4 hours away.

The kids had a great time on the cruise. I did have a bit of a mishap as my left knee swelled up on the cruise and I ended up having to go to the hospital in Cozumel and have alot of fluid removed. This was an interesting excursion in Cozumel. LOL.

This convinced me to start taking the rheumatoid arthritis medicine that the doctors have recommended. I have been resisting it so much. But hopefully I can get it under control.

Thanks for all the shout outs!!!!!! I miss all you guys. I am so jealous that a bunch of you are getting together in September. Boo Hoo:sad2:

Kris IMed me on myspace. He said that he thinks Tom is on a bus to Kansas. He's going to see his bio dad. Kris said that Tom has been talking to his dad, Ric, lately.

Kris hates his dad and he's pretty mad at Tom for going. No matter what, he loves his brother.

Ric left Sandi just before Kris was born. He only tried to contact the boys twice that I know of since then.

The saga of Tom continues. Let's see what happens next.:confused3

Wonderful!! Congrats!

Hi Tammy. Nice to hear that you and the kids are doing well.

Sorry to hear about the knee though. I'm sure you could have had more fun doing something else in Cozumel.

Did you ever get that puppy of yours trained?

I wonder if the piggies like smelling of coconut. Perhaps that is as bad to them as smelly piggie smell is to us!!:lmao:
Oh, now I feel bad! :scared1: I think all is well because they're happy again today. Very friendly and affectionate when I picked them up for a bit. :thumbsup2
