We FINALLY got our rain today. It rained all day. Not heavy, just a light rain. And it was COLD. Everybody was wearing jackets. So I used the rain as an excuse to avoid yardwork today after work. :thumbsup2

Well, sorta....She still has the occasional slip-up, but has vastly improved over the first couple of months. Woo!!! I think that whole experience totally cured me of puppy desire. She will probably be my last. I do love her so much though.

Yea, we had a hard time training ours in the beginning too. Then we just put the doggy door in and penned in the yard and she never went in the house again. I think it's the easiest way to train them. Plus she loves going outside whenever she wants to.

Then there's the love, they really are giving. My only problem is that mine still chews. She's leaving things alone in the house now and instead she's chewing up the back deck. EEK!

I went to the doctor shortly after we got back from Florida, just for a scheduled med check, but I told her about how much I sleep and how I can sleep 20 hours if there's nothing to wake me up, and then can still sleep on my lunch hour at work every day and still fall asleep early. I told her I just really love my sleep, but that others were concerned about me even being able to sleep that long, so I asked her if I should be worried. She told me I just need to set my alarm clock on weekends so I don't sleep all day and night. She told me she'd like to sleep that long too, but she sets her alarm so she can get up and not waste her day. Ooooookay, whatever. I asked her if she wanted to check my iron level, and she told me no, and that she wanted to check my thyroid and vitamin D level. I reminded her that my thyroid has been checked 3 times, but she didn't care. I had no idea what in the world vitamin D would have to do with me being so tired, but sure enough, today I got a call from her office telling me my vitamin D was very low and to start taking 1000mg a day.

I still have no idea what that has to do with being tired, but I'll definitely do what she says. Crazy stuff!

OK.....off to bed. One more day of work this week, then I can sleep all day Friday if I want to....WOOHOO!!! :goodvibes Then I'm hoping to pick Tyler up at 5am on Saturday to head to TN.

Holly, what are you still doing awake at this hour? Isn't it past your bedtime?

I love your Oreo and Dale stories. I think it's hysterical that they smell like coconuts. Maybe next time you should use pet shampoo on them. I don't know what kind would be good for them, but I have doggy shampoo. Ask at the pet store and they'll let you know.

Good Night Holly....when you do go to sleep....sweet Mickey dreams.

Ian, are you going to check out "The Ledge" at the Sears tower? That's something I definitely will go see. :yay:

(Yes, I know you're sleeping at the time I'm typing this. ;))

Congrats Marilyn and John  40 years is great :thumbsup2

Hi Tammy :flower3:

Happy Canada Day, Kathe, Ken and Shannon :flower3:

My favorite guinea pig, Oreo, the one we've had longest, almost never makes any sounds, other than to rumble at the other one now and then. But the other one, Dale, NEVER stops squeaking unless he's asleep. NEVER. I've never seen any kind of animal make sounds ALL the time like that. It's really, really irritating! If the first one had been that noisy, I never would have gotten a 2nd one. Good grief!

I hear that Chip complains about Dale's snoring...;)

They put mom on Vitamin D also... it helps you to absorb calcium into your system. You don't want to get brittle bones...

(I wouldn't suggest Dawn Dish detergent...)

Well done you WWatchers for gettting back on track!!:thumbsup2

HI Tammy.:cool1:

Oh, now I feel bad! :scared1: I think all is well because they're happy again today. Very friendly and affectionate when I picked them up for a bit. :thumbsup2

Don't feel bad, who knows, they might just like smelling of coconuts!!!

Marilyn, that's a real milestone  I hope you have a wonderful weekend :goodvibes

Thank you Kathe.

40 years! So special! What great memories you both have to look back on together. :lovestruc

Lots and lots of memories!!!:)

Ruby? I thought that 40 years was the Jam Butty anniversary.

That is the modern one Ian. I will be having a jam butty on Sunday!!!:lmao:

Yup, I was very sleepy, but was trying to finish watching my movie. I didn't make it, so I'll finish it tonight.

Everything I've read says to use rabbit shampoo or baby shampoo because they're the mildest kinds. The shampoo I used is for kids, but it's tear free, so I figured it would be just as gentle as baby shampoo. :thumbsup2

Well, I knew that, but I'm not sure what vitamin D has to do with me sleeping so much. :confused3 My women's multivitamin has the amount of vitamin D in it that the Dr. told me to take, so I'll just try to remember taking that again.

I'm glad you got checked up Holly. Funny she didn't check the iron, but she's the doc so she should know!! Are you going to set the alarm on weekends?
I suppose I'll probably set the alarm, we'll see. It's just that I feel so rested after one of those very long sleeps.

Well, off to work I go. I've packed a bag full of low point foods, and I'm ready to get back to tracking starting today. :goodvibes

Today should be busy. I suspected the Energizer Bunny lawyer might have missed the fact that we're closed tomorrow, so I let him know yesterday as I was leaving. He was not happy. So I'm sure he's going to kick things up a notch to make up for the loss of work tomorrow. ;)

Perhaps give it a try(more than once!), and then have a power nap during the afternoon. Set your alarm again if necessary.

Trust me when I say life is too short to spend it sleeping!:rotfl2:

:cool1:I believe Monica is flying off to Turks and Caicos tomorrow. Travelling to Miami tonight to fly from there.

I hope you have a great trip.:dance3:

Hi Maz!!

I'm heading off in 2 hours (well, really 1 hr 55 minutes but who's counting) :rotfl:

Leaving from work to drive to Miami - if there isn't too much traffic & I get there at a decent time (someone said it'll take about 4 + hrs) I plan to stop at the Container Store (LOVE THIS PLACE!) and may endulge as I will have my car w/ me :lmao: before heading over to the hotel.

I leave on a flight at 1040am tomorrow & will be home Sunday night.

I can't wait to sit on that beach, stare out at that water & relax!

I'll check in probably on Monday.

Have a safe & happy 4th of July (USers)! Happy belated Canada Day (CAers) and Happy Anniversary (Maz!)

A short trip, but some much deserved relaxation! Enjoy your bit of paradise! :goodvibes

Hey Wow! You guys remember me! LOL.
The kids had a great time on the cruise. I did have a bit of a mishap as my left knee swelled up on the cruise and I ended up having to go to the hospital in Cozumel and have alot of fluid removed. This was an interesting excursion in Cozumel. LOL.
Thanks for all the shout outs!!!!!! I miss all you guys. I am so jealous that a bunch of you are getting together in September. Boo Hoo:sad2:

HI Tammy, sorry about your knee! A couple of years ago I had just about the same problem, I knocked my knee against Patrick's wheelchair brake, and since we had lost the soft rubber tip, it damaged the knee real bad. I hobbled around from October to January, then finally went to the knee doc. He did surgery that same week! Then I had the artificial synovial fluid shots....I was in a wheelchair for 6 weeks! If I had taken care of it right away (like you did) I would have saved myself a LOT of problems!

You are so smart! Smarter than me! :yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:
