she says "we can talk, but it'll cost you" :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

our steak dinner was fab :thumbsup2

We then ran over to my mom's and took her some B&R for desert. She was happy :woohoo:

Ian, I'm bummed the show wasn't on tonight :sad2: I think the other showing was at 2am so I missed it already

Too bad. Sukie was on yet another documentary this past week, just a half-hour one.

you need to set your DVR! I record lots of shows that I miss during the day in the middle of the night, when the TV isn't being used by other people! :happytv:

It does seem kind of exotic. The railway cars are very nice, and the lodges also look very nice.I ordered a bunch of brochures and planning DVDs from several lines. Nothing like looking ahead, right?

Chuck and I have always talked about taking the Canadian Rockies railroad trip.....one in Alaska would be great. He's talking about taking another inside passage cruise in Alaska, but I would rather do a land trip, since we didnt get to Denali last time

Happy Monday everybody!

Nan - sounds like you had a great Father's Day. I think its great that the kids will wear the Thing shirts with you! :thumbsup2

Deb - hope you're feeling better this morning.

Monica - glad you enjoyed your weekend, even with the stressful bits. I hope your dad's surgery goes doesn't get cancelled

Ian - do you see the huge drop in meeting attendance on Mother's Day too?

Venetia - I agree its frustrating how limited the WDW site is for planning ahead. We always take a similar crowd level time to estimate for planning (like take a look at early Nov to give us a guess for February)

Holly - sorry your neighbours are a pain in the patootie!

Marilyn - Happy Belated Birthday to John!

Deborah - how long do you have to wait for the hearing aid dog?

Back to work and reality the last 3 days. Had some really sick patients.

My boss has been talking to me about becoming the charge nurse for the new neurosurgical ICU . I am debating. Im a heart and lung girl and not sure I can do that. It can also be alot more depressing in some aspects. They would train me with the new neurosurgeon which would be nice but not sure if its up my alley. I have until september when the new surgeon comes and we open the 10 bed unit. It would mean more cruise money but alot more responsibility too. Decisions,,decisions..

Had a nice fathers day, took Tom out to sam Seltzers for dinner and then to see "Land of the "lost" , dumb movie LOL but I like Will Ferrell.

Hope everyone has a good monday! Im sleeping :)

Hi Heather.....great to see you on here posting....I missed you!

What a great compliment and wonderful opportunity for you....whether you take it or not, it's good to be acknowledged for all the hard work that you do. At least you have a while to "sleep" on it before you have to decide.

Glad Tom had a nice daddy's day.

Be sure to let us know when he will be scheduling autographs and pictures onboard.....I MUST get mine.....he's such a STAR!

Before I get busy at work, I'll say that we had a nice Father's Day afternoon yesterday. We went out geocaching for almost 4 hours, and found 6 different caches. We took Indiana Mickey with us and he was a great good luck charm. We took pictures of Ken and the girls after every find.
When we got home, we had leftovers for dinner, and then the girls gave Ken his father's day gifts. They had both made him presents, and I just love how excited they are about what they've done. Ken still has to download the pictures from his camera.

now I'll get back to work :sad1:

Hi Shannon, I've got my fingers crossed for you waiting to hear back from that job interview. Hope it's good news soon.

I still feel yucky. Not eating again. It's not as bad as last time. I couldn't lift my head at all. But it's not great. Going to be leaving in a minute to drive Kris and friends to the mall. At least I can still drive. Hopefully it will go away quickly this time.

What a great day spent together.....can't wait to see the pics.:cutie:

Oddly enough, no. Fathers Day had a bigger impact on meeting attendance than Mothers Day.

There are more women in my meetings than men, and I suspect that the women had "obligations" on Fathers Day.

That's a tough decision. Good thing you have time to think about it though.

So is this what you are looking into? I would like to add some type of railway trip. Alaska by rail is something I have always wanted to do. My grandfather instilled a passon for trains in my brother and I. So much so that my brother is an engineer for Amtrak.
Wow, very cool! :goodvibes

Do they live near Dollywood and the Smokey Mountains? I love that part of Tennessee.
Sort of, they're about an hour and a half drive from that stuff. They live in Clinton, which is about 30 miles north of Knoxville, but he works in Knoxville.

You're lucky you're both men in your relationship. In a man/woman relationship women tend to plan for Christmas, birthdays and Fathers Day. Men tend to get used to the woman planning everything from the wedding day forward.

Hence, women have free time to attend meetings on their special days...not much has been planned. But they don't have time to attend when they have been making plans for others.....including the kids.

Cruise planning as well. Even Nan going on the Tortola cruise is enjoying not making any plans for a change.

Just my opinion.:rolleyes1

Too bad. Sukie was on yet another documentary this past week, just a half-hour one.

I was really bummed, because I had it on my calendar to remind me 3 days out, so I've been really hyped to watch it...stupid programing change  It was even something crappy on that channel when I went to it too, not like I got something in exchange :headache:

I would do that but we don't have one ;)

Believe it or not, Thing 4 put his on and we all followed suit. Sometimes he can be a good kid :scared:

Your adventures sound fun. I bet if we got into cashing we'd be hooked. For now, I'm sticking with the go-kart :thumbsup2

ahem, does that mean sex or cooking? or god forbid both...see I really need to stay on FB, huh
