Well, I'm halfway through planning my Aug trip to Alberta. First three nights in Banff National Park have been booked, now I have to try to figure out the next three in Jasper National Park :confused3

I thought I was all finished booking for my B2B cruise in Sept, except for excursions. I paid in full plus purchased trip insurance(not from DCL) ...well the trip insurance is not what they promised it would be :headache: so I am now trying to cancel it and purchase through a different provider:mad:

Kathe

Hey Kathe, I always use an outside provider because they are much, much cheaper! If you need a name I can look for you.

OK, you silly, silly people. Thanks to Michelle, I now have dozens of friends on facebook, that I don't really know how to use yet. I think I've accepted everyone correctly. It is a business facebook, so I won't be chatting over there, but it is cracking me up reading everyone else's stuff. And can you people explain to me what the hell mafia wars are? I'm in it I think or accepted it or clicked it something like that! ?????

On another note... remember the friend from my daughter's school who I was looking to rent DVC points for? Well, another disser (someone I barely knew, but cruised with a couple of years ago) donated a 1 bedroom to her family for 2 nights. It was overwhelmingly kind and made all of us cry. Yet another example of the generosity of the dis folks.:worship::worship::worship:

Congrats, Holly!

Way to go Kelly!!!! Glad it worked out for your friend!!! There are good people in this world!!! :thumbsup2

Mafia Wars is something that Bubba is addicted to... perhaps you can develop a program to get him to come back and gossip over here... ;)

And FB is the place we get to say all of the things we would get tossed off the DIS for... :lmao:

got that right, go look at your wall I talked smack about you on it....just kidding. I'd just smack you here if I really wanted too :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Hello from Vancouver, B.C.

After cruising for 70 days, we disembarked the Volendam this morning. It was an incredible adventure. We will spend one week in Vancouver before returning home.

Best,
Woody

Woody checked in on the Sept 12th thread.... :goodvibes:goodvibes

I suppose on the plus side to all that has happened lately is that Sukie and I will be celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary on the cruise in September. It will also be so nice that it will be a mix of people who were there at our celebration and friends who couldn't attend.

Right now, possibly next week, the civil union bill comes up in the Illinois House.

Sukie and I agreed that if it passes, we're getting hitched a second time, here in Chicago.

This time the ceremony will be performed in my synagogue, by my Rabbi (or bunny as Sukie calls him), under a chuppa.

Those of us who couldn't make it are really looking forward to celebrating the anniversary with you :grouphug:

Keep us informed about the Chicago nuptuals & we'll plan another party for you at Eastwood Manor :goodvibes

My Big Fat Jewish Wedding!

Uggghh......can it please hurry up and be 5pm so I can go home? I took a nap for 45 minutes in my car at lunch and could go to bed for the rest of the day. I'll hit the hay as soon as I get home and will sleep straight through until tomorrow morning. Can't stop yawning. Good grief! A coworker laughs and tells me there's no way she could sleep as much as I do. I sure do love my sleep! ;)

Thanks Kelly! I have received my refund and have found another provider that is actually a little cheaper again, so I think I'm good :thumbsup2

Hi G!!!! Come back... we miss you and with Bubba over playing Mafia wars... we're NEVER going to make it to then next thread and Ken has SWORN to not pop on here very much cause he hates the number 13... oh well...

Oh it's only 13....we really need to step it up. 13 has never been bad to me ;)

About a week ago, 13 workers who worked on the 13th floor of a building in Edmonton, Alberta won 50 million on the 649 lottery

:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1: :cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

I've got nothing against 13!!! I only wish I was part of this lucky group ;)

Ahem......

Let it be known that the Queen Mum was born on Friday the 13th...

From that day on... it has been declared a National Holiday...

Eat Drink and Be Merry... & don't forget there's no mail delivery.... :snooty:

The female teacher that I work with got off the phone one day and said "That was my wife. I understand if you don't want to come back tomorrow." I don't know why I'm telling you this. I just think it is really sad. I had already told Jon and Bubba that I knew she was gay but it really made me sad to hear her say that.

that is sad, because obviously she has experienced a lot of problems.

sounds like a great plan!

Hi Shannon!!!

I saw Ken post on FB that one of the girls is feeling a bit sick... which ever it is... hope she feels better soon!!!

We all really enjoyed Toy Story Mania!
Did you get pictures of Owen all dressed up?
I did - I have to get them from the camera I used. I will try to post.

Ooops did I slip????

It's Penny Auction, not Penny

The bridge is in Cupertino, you see if from 280, check it out it's totally funny.

Pictures of George please :flower3:
We will have to check out the bridge!

Lisa, We'd love to see you there, send me a PM with your cell and dates.
GOsh, I was so overwhelmed at Disneyland! It has been so long and we didn't do a very good job planning. We had so much fun though and want to plan another trip, which I will do more in advance so we can hopefully arrange a DIS meet. I was thinking it would be fun to go in August...but boy the costs sure add up!

I had a bad fall on Sunday on the way to a High School Play in the High School Parking lot. My HS dauhter did not know whether to run and hid from me for to help me. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I knoked my self out and I broke two fingers on my right hand. Went to the emergency care center. Then yesterday I started throwing up very badly. Went back to the dotor, but they do not think it had anythingg to do with the fall.....just the flu on top of falling.

I still feel pretty bad...YUCK
How are your fingers doing? Daniel must be having a great time in Paris.

I am completely mesmerized by Gaylean's pouring champagne!
:rotfl: I was thinking the same thing!

Here are some photos - hope I post them ok - Luke the Pirate

Welcome to Friday!
Your Gateway to the Weekend!

No big plans this weekend.

I am working both Saturday and Sunday, so there'll be no sleeping in. I like to sleep in until about 5:30 AM or 6 at least one day a week.

Around the corner from us there's also a 3-day festival, so a few streets a closed off completely, which makes things a pain, because I have to drive blocks out of my way.

The other big pain is that people, usually drunk, park under the "L" behind our garage and blocks in our cars. This usually makes me furious, especially when they say the line that I have heard for the past 20 years, "Sorry, I didn't know it was your garage." Like it would have been OK had it been someone else's garage.

I'll be phoning the alderman today about how these situations will be managed, and also consulting with the guys upstairs, one of whom is a Chicago cop as to the best avenue for recourse.
