:thumbsup2GO SPEED WILSON!:thumbsup2

Cheri....maybe the boys should be sending their laundry back home! Congrates on making it 'there and back again' on your first solo venture into the city. I can't wait to "do" Michigan Avenue.

Deborah, DTD is Downtown Disney. Congrats on booking a cruise. We'll be interested to hear how things compare to DCL. When are you cruising?

.

Deborah, I'm sure you will all enjoy RCCL. I have read trip reports and it looked wonderful.

Cheri. Hope you managed to sleep!!!

Holly and Michelle - HI.

And...
WELL DONE WILSON.:thumbsup2

Good morning all!

We woke up a bit late today, at 6:45 AM. It was a pleasant enough evening at DTD (Downtown Disney), though I thought it was crowded. I had forgotten that it was a Saturday night and so, probably lots of locals as well.

This morning is brunch at Olivia, and then we are off to the Magic Kingdom.

Dinner tonight is at the Crystal Palace.

This is proving to be a very laid back trip for us, which is what we had wanted.

I've been wearing my WW pedometer, and yesterday did 26,007 steps or, according to the pedometer, 11.91 miles and earned 10 activity points.

Not moving nearly as much as I thought we would, or should be. We're going to have to get more active. So, new rules, today, all meals have to be eaten on the hoof, and no more bathroom breaks.

On a more serious note, I have been very careful about what I have been eating and trying to make smart choices. I have had meals and did not have any snacks, other than the ice cream last night at Giradelli. However, that was PLANNED. I told Sukie that I felt OK about because it was done specifically by plan and not via grazing or sudden whims or urges. My reason is, that because I did it by plan, it was the result of conscious choice, therefore I was accountable for my choice, which meant that ultimately I was in control.

Oh yeah, and YIPPEE!!!!!!!!! A Sunday without having to work!

Oh, and one thing, it was our first day going "naked" without the dining plan. Snack & meals came to $75.11, or $4.89 better than the dining plan. I did not factor in Ghiradelli, because that would have not been on the plan.

The other plus was we did not eat too much.

Hello

Monica is at NCL cruise...

Scottishwee35

OOOHHHH, that sounds fun.

I'm watching the movie "Twilight". Not really my cup of tea. It's so dark and everybody's grumpy. Really creepy.

Hi Holly. I have no interest in Twilight....I would have nightmares for weeks!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

OK ladies, here is the secret about Twilight. what you are missing from the movie is all the behind the scenes fun. It is about Bella and Edward's thoughts which are a riot. It is a very fun and very romantic (w/o being overtly sexy.) Modern day Romeo and Juliet. I'm listening to the first book for the second time and I loved, loved, loved the series, but most of all I loved Edward's thoughts (a total crack up!) The movie really lost the humor and rapid teen thoughts of what was happening all around them. The audio books are the best. But for some people (like one of my friends) vampire anything is not for her. So, I get the nightmare thing Deb!

Hi all!

We bumped into Marilyn and John in the Fairy Gsrden. For the life of me, I can't imagine why the would suspect that a fairy garden would be a good place to look for us.

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: Sounds like you're having a great time!

Tyler stayed up late so we could watch Beverly Hills Chihuahua. We both loved it! :goodvibes He barely made it through the movie though. He was leaning on me on the couch, half asleep. Oh well, at least I don't have to try to get him up for school tomorrow!

I was surprised how much I like this movie. It was adorable.

Call me silly girl, can we see each other for coffee or an ice cream cone???? We might make the drive over there tomorrow, we don't have plans except.....

WILSON WON HIS RACE :car:

He was 1st to qualify with the fastest lap

Then took 1st in his Heat Race

and then smoked everyone in the MAIN!!!!

We have had an AWESOME day.:cheer2:

Do you still have my cell? I should be there about 3 or 4 in the afternoon, if that isn't too late and you are there, call me, I'd love to see you guys.

Just got a call from Sukie...

Ian left him on the bus...

Or Ian got off the bus and thought Sukie was behind him...

I don't know...

But Sukie was looking at Ian's Phone so now Ian can't call him... without trying to find a payphone at Disneyworld (and the amount of money it will cost to call a CHICAGO number...) :lmao::lmao::lmao:

They are at DTD on a Saturday night... :scared:

I do think we need to tag them with GPS chips... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

OH MY that is SOOOO funny!!!!! :rotfl::cool1::rotfl2::goodvibes
Eastwood Manor/Truman and Talullah report update:

The weather was very nice today--the sun was out mostly, with some clouds blowing in and out, but no rain. The doggies and I had breakfast and spent a little time outside on the porch, as well as some snuggle time on the couch.

About 11 I set off for downtown. Sukie had given me good "El" training (no pun intended), and I got down to Michigan Ave. with no trouble. I found the Apple store, went inside, and drooled over the pretty shiny things inside, got a coffee and decided to head down to the Navy Pier. It was a great day to be down by the water! I did the tourist thing, then got myself home by bus and train. For a small town girl who has never lived anywhere with public transportation, I feel pretty proud of myself!

This evening the doggies and I watched a couple of movies. I put them to bed in their kennel with the jeans draped on top but tonight isn't going as well as last night. The whimpering started, so I swapped out the jeans for a pair of shorts that were on one of the chairs, hoping a fresh scent might do the trick. It's been mostly quiet, but there are still a couple of yips from time to time. I'm hoping my luck hasn't run out...:sad2:

Good to hear from Kelly! Hope the "Brunch Bunch" has a great time tomorrow!

It's been quiet for the last 5 minutes...maybe I've dodged the bullet again! :goodvibes

'Night all!
Congrats on a great day Miss Cherie - sure wish I was there exploring with you!
Cherie... they're playin ya... leave them a pint of Ben & Jerrys and 2 spoons and I'm sure they will be fine.
now that's funny!!!!:rotfl:

I was tempted to run with the "going 'naked' " thing, but decided to take the high road!:lmao:

Cheri:

I wish my memory worked as well as Tyler's does. I mentioned to him a bit ago that Ian and Sukie are at WDW this week and he asked me "What about their dogs?" I told him "Somebody else from our cruise, Cheri, flew in to stay with them." I told him he probably doesn't remember Cheri, but......then he stopped me and said, "I remember her. She came to our table at breakfast one morning and took our picture and she has gray hair." Sorry about that part Cheri, but at least he does remember you! And he told me there's a picture of you holding your lanyard card up. Right again. ;)

Just killing time, doing laundry, waiting to leave for the birthday party in an hour, and need to look up soccer info online for Tyler. He asked me if he can try that soon.

I've had two small patches on my face that I have to constantly put thick lotion on or else it turns into gross, flaky patches of skin on my face. Looks like dandruff, but on my face. Well, today I woke up to find about SEVEN small patches like that, but they're pink and scaly. GROSS! They don't itch, just looks sort yucky. I've never had excema, but that's sort of what it looks like, all over my forehead. I'm going to try Tyler's steroid cream we use for his skin issues and see if that helps. Yucky!

We watched Beverly Hills Chihuaha again this morning. Love it! :goodvibes

Hi Marilyn! :goodvibes

OK, we're off to squeeze a game of Disney DVD bingo in before we have to leave. I haven't showered yet and we're both still in our pajamas. A nice lazy day! :goodvibes

I'm sure you will be fine. Freedom is one of the larger ships with lots of stuff for the older kids to do... they will find lots of stuff to keep them happy... :upsidedow

Not moving nearly as much as I thought we would, or should be. We're going to have to get more active. So, new rules, today, all meals have to be eaten on the hoof, and no more bathroom breaks.

Ian... that doesn't sound very kosher... either choice...

Oh I got it now DTD, thanks

I thought you said 2010!!! That would have been 1 day after we leave on the transatlantic... :headache:

Yeah, I suspected that! But no forbidden treats...I promised Ian I'd stick to the routine!

Ohhh I couldn't have resisted a little bit of bribery... Of course T&T would have been stowaways in my carry on going home - with their little bandanas on a stick and all...

Cheri:

At least he didn't remember my gray hair... :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Speaking of grey hair....still have to color mine.:sad2:

BUT, got a pedicure, bought some new slacks, and even IRONED a shirt that I'm taking. Also tried on some other clothes hoping they would miraculously fit after only loosing 5 pounds...uh, not yet. No big night out on the town this trip...dressy casual is all I can come up with. Oh, better go polish my shoes!

....almost ready for vacation......
