Holly

Not sure when the Wonder cruise leaves... but the MAGIC repo to Europe goes on April 10th 2010

Been so busy with my newest fund raising cause.

Gretchen's dance studio paired with a dance studio for autisic and Downs Syndrome kids. They need scholarships and a tap floor. Several of the 50 kids parents have lost their jobs and if they don't have help, these special kids will have to quit dance next year.

We did a proformance with our kids one dance and an ETM kid the next dance.

Those kids were the cutest kids I have ever seen in my life. The director of ETM (Expressive Therapeutic Movement) told me the kids NEVER in their whole lives had an audience of 400 clapping like crazy for them. :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

I was crying like crazy when the end came and all the ETM kids came out and took a bow!! I have never in my whole life seen 50 happier kids!! Then some of our girls gave each of them a GOLD metal!!

We also had a silent auction (beach houses, trips, a hockey stick signed by all the Capitals...pizzas.....127 different items) and we think we raised somewhere between $20,000 and $25,000.

We had a giving tree and a 50/50 raffle!!

So much fun.....we were on the Front page of the local paper too. Gretchen is the blond on the far left of the picture.

Here is the web site we designed for the show. If I get some pictures, I will post later on!!

That's such a great idea!!! Congrats for everyone who put it together...

Speaking of gray hair.....I've decided to go with "SILVER HIGHLIGHTS":rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I do that every 6 weeks...

HEY Sister- congrats on the 5lbs - half a bowling ball! ONWARD & DOWNWARD!:dance3::yay::cheer2:

I never thought of it that way... maybe I just want to lose about 5 or 6 bowling balls... :lmao::thumbsup2

Hi Marilyn... :yay: (I miss saying Good Morning to you...)

Hi Michelle. How are you and your mom?

Hi Marilyn...

Mom and I are fine except for the fact that this time tomorrow we had hoped to be in WDW with all of you... but your country has decided on a bank holiday :snooty: so I have to wait until tomorrow to find out if I have hit the lottery... if I have... watch out... I'm comin south...

oh Michelle

Silly me I thought you mention about 2011 but I got the wrong dates...

Anyway, how is your planning for next cruise??

Now I am off to bed

Goodnight....

Sweet Dream.....

That's a great way to look at it!

I am still awaiting for football as they contacted me twice but still searching for her for girls football but I got emailed that they found one for her... as they will email me....

At school, I know one coach for Hibs football for boys but he want Olivia to join in this October as must be 10 years old... so that would be two football teams...

Scottishwee35

Do they have sports teams at school? or is all done outside of school?

Just a quick drop in. Went to Seaworld this morning. I had forgotten what a great park it is.

Rode Manta which is having soft openings. What a fantastic ride, but it left me with a dreadful headache. :headache:Enough to say I won't be riding it again.:lmao:

Rode Kraken and saw the Shamu show and Clyde and Seymour, and wandered through a few animal areas.

It is hot hot hot though - probably didn't help the headache.

Glad you had a great time. I love Seymour and Clyde. It was so disappointing when we went to SeaWorld SanDiego last time and that show was closed to get ready with the newest version. I always wonder why they keep changing the Seymour and Clyde show but never change the dolphin show? Its been the same for at least 10 years :confused3

Are you talking a real lottery or getting your project going? :confused3

Oh, so you might just get here then?

Proud mama here again. Paul just found the lap times for this weekends race and Willie was the fastest Micro-Max Kart in every session, practice, qualify, heat and main. That means not only did he win but he kicked some booty this weekend :banana::banana::banana::banana:

He is now #1 in the points for his class :yay:

Only 8 more races to WIN!!!!

It's a great and somewhat surreal feeling having him win like this. I know he is a good driver but he has spent so many years getting to the place where he can show it that I'm still kinda pinching myself.

Also I have a confession (I'm making it here not on Tortola so maybe Monica won't see, just kidding) The Grand Nationals in his series is the same week as our Tortola cruise :scared1: Paul and I have talked about it and if he stays at the top of his class we'll somehow find the money for him to race in the Nationals, in Norman OK. (Ironically that is the town in which my mother was born and lived until she was 6 years old) I would still take the cruise, but I'd be sadly missing my boys race as a National Champion :sad1: Oh well, no reason to be upset so soon, it's a long time until then and he has 8 more races to win to make it happen.

Two football teams, wow! She'll be busy!

Ooooh! I love Seaworld! It's what I'm most looking forward to in June I think. :goodvibes Sorry about your headache, I hope it didn't last long.

Nan, congrats again to Wilson! That's awesome! I'll bet he's floating on cloud 9!

This little guinea pig is cracking me up! I found a bigger cage for him on Craig's List for only $15 (it would be about $80 new) and we moved him into it today. He spent quite a long time exploring, then the whole rest of the evening, he's been running laps and jumping with pure joy! :rotfl2: He has a little wooden house to hide in, and he runs in through the door, turns around and jumps out through the window! :lmao: He's so fast, it took me a long time to figure out if that's indeed what he's doing! :rotfl: He's been doing this for hours! But each time I grab the video camera, he stops for a break. Bummer.

So today was my day to weigh in. I only lost 1 pound for the week. BUT....its still moving in the right direction, and that makes 4 pounds for 2 weeks, so that averages to 2 per week, which makes me very happy! :dance3:
