Howdy! Hey, remember me?? :cool2: We are now back home in Montana. We were traveling in the RV just 10 days short of 5 months. It is nice to be home, but we both miss the RVing already. We had a great trip. We went to 22 different states. Just checking in here to let you all know we are alive and well.

Hi. Welcome to the Ship Thieves memories thread. It's nice to see you. Were you on our cruise through the Panama Canal?

;)

There's a zombie on your lawn, we don't want zombies on the lawn......

:headache: Thanks a lot Ken! I've had that in my head ALL DAY! It sure made Tyler laugh though! :rotfl2:

Glad to be of help!! Sing it out loud at the office and let your coworkers really worry! I'll be sure to pass it on to my friend who gave me the link originally.

Well, I'm thinking about seeing what's happening on the Wonder that summer.......

latest rumors, a reposition from LA to a more northern port, then some ALASKA cruises, then a reposition back to LA. That reposition up to...Seattle? Vancouver?...followed by the first Alaksa itinerary ::yes:: :thumbsup2

.

I guess we wait until November for the 2011 itineraries to come out.

John wants to do Alaska, but I'm a little hesitant. I'm with Gaylean on this one....I think we should go tropical on vacas not to the frozen tundra. Of course, I'll give in and he'll win so I very well might be on one of those with you!!!

Personally, I would prefer Hawaii. I guess they'll wait until the new Disney hotel is finished before they start doing cruises there.

Welcome home Angie and Dennis....it sounds like you just had the trip of a lifetime. I'm sure there's many more to come too. How awesome that you can travel together this way. I'm happy for you both.

Wow, hi Angie, great to see you! 22 different states, how cool! :goodvibes What was your favorite?

That's a hard question. We liked the Sonoran Desert in Arizona ALOT and that surprised us since we thought we were mountain, trees, streams people, we liked the food in GA, SC, KY ALOT, we liked WDW in FL and DL in CA. Our favorite city was San Angelo, Texas. Absolutely the nicest people in the country live there! We were there 3 days and watched the local news every night. We did not hear one story the entire time that was not positive....no shootings, no robberies, they are buidling a new stadium for the high school though! The best thing was seeing folks we had not seen for years and renewing those friendships.

Hi Angie!!

Hi!!!

Hi Angie!

Hi Angie. Welcome back. It is great to see you here again. Don't be a stranger.

We did this crappy thing tonight for our warmup called a pyramid drill. 20 jumping jacks, 20 pushups, 20 sit ups, then 19 of each, then 18 of each, etc., all the way down to 1. I was the last one to finish because my upper body strength sucks, so pushups are very slow for me, and sit ups take me forever because I almost can't make it all the way up. I was so embarrassed to be the last one to finish, but I guess somebody has to be last. Whenever we do something like this, when you finish, you have to run in place and clap until everybody's done. So the whole class was running in place and clapping, waiting for me to finish.

The rest of class went pretty well though, except there were lots more pushups and jumping jacks. Yuck. Here's a video of what I need to do at testing for my next belt: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dIXo7fEGN8U I've got it about 1/2 way down, so I think I'll get it. Especially since I found this video so I can practice at home too! :thumbsup2

Well done on getting through the class. I watched the video. I would fall over!:rotfl2:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: I WANT to practice because I want to be able to let Tyler's dad know I can kick his A$$ next time he starts acting stupid! :rotfl:

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

I want to go!!

:dance3:

As far as Alaska goes, I googled the normal cruise months, and apparently it is between May and September. I don't know if this helps with rumouring!!!

I would love to do Alaska.

I'm not so sure about the Panama Canal, it's too far away for me to think about right now, especially as there are 2 cruises in my queue.

I'll think about it when it becomes a possibility. If asked right now, I'd say "no." I'm not sure I'd want to spend money on repeating something. I'd rather do something new. But again, it is too far away for me to have insight into how I will be feeling later.

I know quite a few people who have done Alaskan cruises and that really attracts me.

But, to circle back to my original point, forefront in my mind right now is our trip to WDW in 21 days.

Nan, I thought the list of participating airlines was on a 'stickey' but I don't see it. :confused3

.

My dears, there is often confusion over this and there is a difference between arrival and departure.

For arrival, there is no such thing as a participating airline. All arriving luggage is eligible for pickup and delivery to one's WDW resort.

Now there is a difference on departure. In this case, what they are talking about when referring to "participating airlines" is resort check in. With a participating airline you can check-in yourself and your luggage at your resort, and they take your luggage and you don't see it again until you arrive back at your home airport.

If you are on a non-participating carrier, your luggage goes with you, goes on the bus, and then you check it in at the airport.

I this is knowledge I have because I am after special, and (as people forget) the creator of Mouse Manager (with over 1,500 registered users).

So, here's some info from a source probably all of you doubting Thomas's will believe:

I do know what you mean about thinking too far ahead. There was a time that we waited till this time of year to plan this summer's vacations. I do find it difficult booking the cruises 18 months to 2 years before sailing. At least the deposits are refundable, unlike Cunard!:rolleyes1

I would quite like to go to Alaska in one sense, but I do crave sunshine and heat. I rather like repeating vacations as long as there is some variations. To be honest I could go on a cruise that never stops at ports!!!

Next year we have the WB TA booked for September, but this is not a definate yet. For the spring we are debating the West Coast or travelling around Europe, but Europe is just too expensive these days.

21 days today and we we will be just inside AK on our very first day!!:yay::yay::yay:

Yes, a good point is the refundable deposit.

I'm not sure what we'll want to do. It will probably be time for a family vacation. My problem is also time off from work. Two weeks is difficult, and burning up so much in one chunk several years in a row ... Well, after a few years, I think some new experience and variety might be in order.

Glad to be of help!! Sing it out loud at the office and let your coworkers really worry! I'll be sure to pass it on to my friend who gave me the link originally.
I just might do that! I've been known to sing out loud when I have a song stuck in my head. Everybody appreciates me sharing. :rotfl: (NOT!!!!!)

Wow, what great memories you guys have created! :goodvibes

NO you wouldn't, the moves are easy, it's just memorizing the order. There are 23 steps to remember. You end up moving in the shape of a square, but I keep turning the wrong way! :rotfl:

I have been thinking of you often, wondered how you were doing. Love the new pup!

Keep in touch

Glad to see you & Dennis are home safe - glad you had a great time.

Loved the story about the positive news....we definately need more of that.
