Funny grandson story!!!

Our grandson Nathan is 9 years onl and is a bit of an entrepreneur. He always has been - he has tried to sell us loads of things over the years and is always thinking up money making things. He counts his money all the time. We bought him a 'toy' cash dispenser for his birthday so he could make a 'debit' card and get money out of it!!;)

Well, for his birthday last December he got an aquarium and some fish. He is just fantastic at looking after them, even to tidying out the cupboard underneath when the food etc it kept. He is so proud.

Well, his Guppys have produced babies, and he has a little plastic tank within the main one when they are safely kept.

Today his mum told John that he is wanting to put flyers up all over offering 'Buy 2 get 1 Free'!!! :lmao: But, the best one is he is offering for folk to sponsor one for 50pence, and they will get an email every month saying how they are getting on!!!:rotfl2:

I wonder what next.:confused3 :rotfl:

Hello

We had a great times last Saturday for my friend Audrey's 40th...

photos show above but photobucket still not working properly

will show more photos later...

My husband won best mask!! He was so daft last Saturday...

Oh I cannot believe Monday today as I am still tired after had the busy weekend....

Scottishwee35

Deborah, you have the BEST weekends! I'm envious :) I'm glad you had a great time, love the pics.

Deb, what great photos!!!

We only took a few photos as we have been before. We had a great sea view from the balcony and could watch some cruise ships sail past as they went either to dock at the cruise terminal or leave. One day the seas were very rough and a smaller cruise ship left port and it was going up and down something terrible. Made me feel seasick watching. The nose went almost under water and then high in the air. It really really has put me off doing the TA next year. I don't think I could cope with that.

Sounds like a great day you had there.

Marilyn, glad to see you back  We all missed you! And you can't scare me :scared1: I'm booked on the TA and I'm sailing no matter what :snooty:

Oh, I'm booked on the WB already. Apparently in 2007 it was a calm as a millpond, but I can't really hope for that again. This ship was just going up the strip of sea between Lanzarote and Africa, not accross the Atlantic for 5 days on the trot. I want calm flat seas, not what I saw.

Hey guys... (and girls...)

Major pixie dust needed....

Had to rush mom to the hospital around 5:30 last night...

The migraine got intense and she got sick and collapsed... I called 911 and they were here really fast... they said she had a vegal response which is when you try to get sick and you pass out. She had it 3 times last night. CT is clear, chest Xray is clear, EKG is good. Her blood pressure was up and down a bit but they say that's the med they gave her for the migraine.

I stayed with her until they got her a room around midnight - I called the nurse a little bit ago and he told me that she had a better night and that PT had her up and walking around the whole unit. She hasn't eaten anything yet because she's still queasy.

I'm headed over to see her now...

And you know what got me last night... I was scared - really...it's the first time I've ever had to do this for her... she's really very healthy. And they were asking me the usual questions including if she had a DNR... and I just wanted to yell at them and tell them that she's not old... don't treat her that way... (she is, but she's been really good up until now...)

& it was tough because I realized last night how alone I am in this. We chose to live up here and we love it and even if I was back in Jersey...it would have been me to go and take care of all of this still...

Rough night...

Well, I'm off to see the "old" Dame...

Go ahead Ian... say it... ;)

Michelle :grouphug: Your mom sounds like she's doing well, oh, but how scarey for you  Hope she continues to feel better and gets home soon. I understand how alone you must have felt. Sending lots of hugs and prayers for a speedy recovery. Give your mom an extra hug from me.

Cute story Marilyn! I'd pay just to get to read the emails:laughing:

I had to laugh recently at my friend's 11 yr old son. Their family just went to disney for the first time last month, so I gave both her son and her daughter each a card with some disney dollars in it. Well, her son called to thank me and his words were "Thank you so much. My family will enjoy watching me spend your investment" :lmao: What kid talks like that  He does, all of the time!

Deborah, those are great pictures, how fun! I remember you showed us those glasses when you were trying to decide whether to buy them, I think they look great! :thumbsup2 And Ian....how funny! :lmao: You get to go to the best parties, your friends sure know how to have fun! And I love how Ian seems happy to have fun right along with you, that makes for a special marriage. I hope I can find somebody who'll want to have fun with me like that. :goodvibes

Michelle, what a rough and scary night for both you and your mom! Things sound better though, prayers and hugs headed out, hoping she's home with you soon.

Busy day here.

Watching the Canucks play against LA now.

Ahh I'll be in LA in a few days now .....

And now for your Canadian joke of the month.

This is a commercial for Timmy's (Tim Horton's*) that is currently running.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_gw3NXiXQY

* Tim Horton's is a Canadian coffee and donut shop that is even more popular than Starbucks in case you didn't already know that. Many say that Epcot's Canada pavillion is incomplete without a Tim Horton's.

Trying to figure out how to put all my camera gear and electronic equipment into my little camera bag as I don't want to take the big one. But I either need MORE little camera bags or less electronic equipment. My thoughts are more bags.

I'm on the "L" on my way home from a reunion dinner with people I used to work with years ago. Some I haven't seen since 1991! It was hoot! Inearly choked a few time!

Boring day spent in a waiting room at the courthouse. Didnt get picked for a jury duty,wheew!:thumbsup2

Greetings all... Thank you all for all the kind thoughts, prayers and Pixie Dust... it helped me get through today... :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Just got back from the hospital...

I am pleased to report that the Queen Mumprincess: is resting comfortably...

She is MUCH better than when I left her last night.

The Migraine broke about 3 am... The cardiologist was in to see her, so was PT and OT (she passed all of their quizzes... you know.. touch your nose, etc...) She had an ultrasound to which I proclaimed "Look...it's a BOY!!! (the tech laughed...) She is on a liquid diet and is NOT happy because the crap they're giving her (ices, jello, ginger ale, tea) is NOT the liquid she'd rather be drinking... I promised her a very fruity tropical drink.... asap... :cutie:

Seriously...

They think that she is having fluctuations in her blood pressure from when she is laying down to sitting to standing... The collapsing that she had (and she doesn't remember any of it... ) is from a Vagel syndrome where you get so sick and you're having the dry heaves (sorry...TMI) and it's a nervous system response - you faint and then you regain consciousness within about 20-30 seconds... (of course those around you think you're dying and freak out... (yeah... that was me... )

It's been a rough one... pretty scary.. first "big" scare I've had with her and I hope it's pretty easy to treat. We will find out...

I joked with her that Bungee Jumping is is now out and that next time I mention the Grand Floridian, she doesn't have to pass out to the extent that I have to call 911...

On a brighter note... the annual Ice Jam has formed around the railroad bridge on the Mohawk River (Erie Canal) which means that Jumpin Jacks will probably be under water by this time...um... Wednesday night...:confused3 i It's sort of an annual tradition... flood the place and open it up very quickly cause there WILL be a line around the park for the first Jack Burger... (in just 17 days!!!!    )

Ok... enough.. I have to go get some sleep...

Glad to hear Barb is doing well. I'm sure she will be home as soon as they feel fit, and on medication to sort the problem. The fluids she is on would make me dry heave not get better!!! (I like that term, I'm going to use it from now on.:lmao: )

Didn't know about the ice jam before, so thanks for posting the picture. Quite impressive.
