Thanks Ken! See ya real soon!!!

Yeah. It just dawned on me today how SOON that really is!! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

It's bad. I just keep saying we are going at Spring Break. Looking out my door it isn't even close to being Spring. So it fools you into thinking you have quite some time to go still.

And then you look at the calendar ..... :scared1:

And I've got LOTS to do.

MY FAVE OF THE DAY WILL BE IN THE NEXT POST. GUESS I HAVE TO MANY IN THIS POST! LOL!!!!

Young impertinent pup.

.

I missed a couple days and there was lots of great pics to see!

Deborah - great pics of your brother & his fiancee. The cake looked great. Is Olivia excited to be a flower girl?

Deb - great pics. I really like the one of John as a baby on the beach. And your mom looks so classy on her wedding day. And was your first bikini ever teeny :scared1:

Bubba - great 48 pics! Looks like you had a fantastic birthday weekend!

My mouth still hurts....alot. I have slept on and off all day.

Annie and I are watching Legally Blonde ...the original one. It is so funny! I took the girls to see the play at the Kennedy Center.

I know this is not the height of intelligent theatre....but it was fun! ;) ;)

I love that movie! I also like Sweet Home Alabama!

This is Gay.....Venetia just said Shen and Kannon :lmao: :lmao:

Hopefully she was attempting to say nice things about us :lmao:

I was standing up, from about 6:45AM until 1:00PM straight through, and because it's not walking but standing in one spot or another it can be tiring on the legs.

I understand that as same with me at work and my legs get sores for standing too long....

I just love old photos.

me too...

Bad story there. I made sure I printed directions to the Pontiac Silverdome Friday at work, made sure I had the directions and tickets in the car, yesterday I checked the time of the show again because I often get the time wrong, 2:00 show, no problem. We had time to come home after church and have lunch, then hit the highway. Tyler fell asleep about 5 minutes into the hour and a half drive, and woke up about 20 minutes before we got there.

We can see the top of the Silverdome for a while before we get off the highway, so we both get excited the closer we get. Then as we approached, I wondered why there was no traffic, then as we drove past the empty parking lots, and then saw the locked gates, I had to pull over to pull out my ticket and find out what was going on. Turns out it was a 1pm show at the Palace of Auburn Hills!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think this is the 3rd time I've done this!!!! Once was for a Spartan's football game 2 years ago, and I can't remember what the other time was. :sad2: I felt horrible because we were both so excited. There goes $113 front row tickets down the drain. :headache:

Fortunately, I'd pointed out a giant mall to Tyler as we drove past on the highway, the Great Lakes Crossings Mall, so I after I told him about the horrible mistake I'd made, I assured him I'd see if I can buy tickets for next week's show and that we could go to that mall and try to eat at Rainforest Cafe. He said, "I can't believe we drove all this way for nothing." :guilty: But as soon as we walked into Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World, and he realized he was in camouflage heaven, all was fine. :rotfl:

We spent about an hour in that giant store, having fun trying to see how many animals we could find, took a few pictures, did some target shooting, shopped, stood on the bridge and watched the ducks in the river, watched the fish in the giant aquariums, etc. It's really a cool store, I went to one in Texas with my ex-husband once, so I knew Tyler would love it. I ended up buying him a toy camouflage hunting rifle. $31 made a happy kid.

Then we were walking through the mall to see what else we could find and found Ridemakerz: www.ridemakerz.com. I know I shared the link a few months ago and have been meaning to take him. I had no idea it was there, so we were pleasantly surprised! It's the same idea as Build-A-Bear, but with a car or truck. He chose a truck, made it into a monster truck, picked gold rims, a grill for the front, and jet engines on the sides. :rotfl2: $43 later, he was a SUPER happy kid!

We were going to eat at Rainforest, but it was a 2 hour wait. Um.....no thanks! So we just looked around the store for quite a while, but didn't see anything we wanted to buy.

And we stopped for KFC on the way home because I was pooped! ;) So a crappy mistake ended up being a fun day and Tyler got a bit spoiled! After he got his pajamas on tonight, he climbed on the couch next to me while I checked for tickets for another date to see Disney on Ice. Bad news, it was only there this weekend. Next time it comes to Detroit is early October. It's a different show, I think it's called 100 years of Disney or something like that, but we're OK with that. I told Tyler I'm so sorry about the mistake and he put his arm around me, leaned his head on my shoulder, and told me, "It's OK, you're still the best mom in the world." Damn kid almost made me cry! ;) I told him I'm lucky to have a kid like him because some kids would throw a fit and scream and cry over missing the show.

OH NO HOLLY, same happened to me long times ago, but glad Tyler had a good day...

I forgot that I have a couple short video clips from the rodeo last week, but I'm having trouble uploading them to photobucket again. It seems to only like me uploading pictures now. Oh well, here's what happened to Tyler on before we even got out of the parking lot after the rodeo:

aw sweet...

Bubba, glad to see you had a great time. I really liked the "creativity" of some of the "numbers". Got a good laugh out of them!

Holly- I am so glad you and Tyler had fun. Sorry you missed the show. I buy my pins of ebay from the same seller each time. I can PM you his/her name if you want. I actually may need to order some soon. I jokingly suggested we go to WDW for my sisters b-day in June, since I had a 40% off code. My parents are actually considering it! She mentioned a part with a huge blow up slide or obsticle course. I am terrified of those blow-up things (had a few bad experiences), and think WDW is a much better option.
Sure you can PM it to me if you don't mind, thanks! But there was a particular seller that a few people on here used. That might be it though.

Oh, if you go in June, when would it be? We're there the 6th through 13th, so I hope it's during the same time! Tyler remembers you and Matt, so it would be great to see you guys! :goodvibes

.
Tell him he does NOT have to trade any pin he does not want to trade. I have seen people try to take advantage of kids.

CMs wearing one color, green I think, ONLY trade with kids.
.
Thanks Jan! :thumbsup2

Bubba - LOVE the pics! Loved the creativity too! :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Holly - sorry about missing the show, but it does sound like you more than made it up to Tyler. I agree w/ Jan about the posts too btw. Quick ? - does Tyler have "ears" with his name on them? (instert skeeming smiley here)

Bubba/V/Gay/Jon - looks like you had a great weekend celebrating together :grouphug:

So what does this say about me.....I'm the most recent poster on all 4 of the threads that I'm subscribing too???

Nope, he doesn't.....the only ears he has are the ones from graduation from the kids' club on the cruise.

:rotfl2: No worries, it just means you might be bored at work like I am! ;)

I'm waiting to receive a return e-mail about reimbursement on our tickets from yesterday. I purchased insurance for only $6/ticket that supposedly reimburses the price of the tickets if we can't make the show for a variety of reasons. I hope it works! Unfortunately, I can't find the info they emailed me about it, but was able to find a contact email address through Ticketmaster's website on the confirmation page for our tickets, so hopefully they have our info in their system and can still make it work. Fingers crossed! :thumbsup2

Oh my gosh, I can't believe I have NOTHING to do! I'm not complaining though, fully enjoying it, because it's usually not this way.

Slight emergency this morning. We went through 7 pairs of pants trying to get one that fit Tyler! He came to me in the bathroom asking if I could help get his pants done because he couldn't pull hard enough to get them far enough to zip up. :scared: I told him they're just too small and to try another pair. He got frustrated after the 3rd one that he couldn't pull together across his belly, so I started making a joke about it, saying, "Tyler, I think you grew overnight! Who was pulling on your legs when you were sleeping to stretch you out? Did Bo do that?" :rotfl2: Bo is his blue bear he's had since birth. Got him laughing. So he ended up having to put on the sweatpants he wore yesterday and was horrified because he wore them yesterday and said, "I don't want to wear dirty pants!" But then I assured him we'd go shopping right after school and he was OK with that. Oops, we can't go right after school because he has karate and then occupational therapy. Well, we'll have to go after OT and grab something to eat on the run, and hope to get home before he falls asleep.

Isn't it funny how kids clothes go from fitting to completely not fitting all at once? Enjoy your quiet day at work, it sounds like after work you'll be crazy busy!
