Isn't it funny how kids clothes go from fitting to completely not fitting all at once? Enjoy your quiet day at work, it sounds like after work you'll be crazy busy!
:rotfl: Yup, Mondays after work always suck for us, but I can't imagine how we're going to squeeze clothes shopping in. :rotfl2: :headache:

At least I have time today to plot my plan of attack for after work. :rotfl2: In between school and karate I have to go pay a bill, and there's no time in between karate and OT to shop, so we just might have to skip karate. It was to be his first day back, but I just don't think we can realistically squeeze in the shopping after OT and before bed, especially since Tyler really needs a bath tonight. ;) And there's a Walmart close to his school, so that does make the most sense, especially since it's close to a highway which we can then hop on to get to OT. Yeah, that's the plan.

I love brainstorming. Can you tell how BORED I am today? :rotfl:

Gee, where the heck are all you people? :rotfl2: I've been over to Facebook and added FIVE new friends who've send requests recently (OK, well, not so recently) and even sent messages to them all! And I come back here and still have nobody to play with. ;)

I even visited myspace too, and I've decided that Facebook has definitely won that battle, so I'm not going to bother wish myspace anymore. I just can't do both and there are WAY more people I know on Facebook. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the great idea Nan!!!!

Love it. Did you have fun finding them?

Thanks Jill. Nan does have a good idea every once in a blue moon!!:rotfl2:

I think that's why you guys keep me around :rolleyes1

Sorry I missed you last night. Just as I was getting caught up we lost power. There was a bad rain storm. We cookked the rest of dinner (which was chicken in the oven, that would not restart because of an electric themomoter) on the oven, stupidly we did it a piece at a time, first green beans, then the rice (which had been started in the micro) then the chicken. We figured the power would get fixed but after the hour as we cooked each thing at a time we figured better to cook and eat than toss it. After dinner we decided to go to the car to watch a movie. We got all settled (the dog too) watched for 10 minutes and the lights pop on....what a silly night. We we lose power I just keep the computers off because sometimes it comes on and off in a row and that would be bad for the computers....

Holly, sorry you missed the show, but it sounds like Tyler made out like a bandit anyways....

and I do know that growing overnight thing. Sometimes when I shop sales I get the next size up and stick them in the closet. I just found sweats for Willie that I bought on clearence from August in his closet, they fit great now :thumbsup2

Greetings from the dead of winter!

It's 21F today! You'd never know that in a day or two it's supposed to go up into the 50's.

During my lunch hour, I ran (nearly quite literally) to get tickets for Mary Poppins.

I was frustrated with what I was seeing on Ticketmaster and so decided to go to the box office (how old fashioned). The theatre is about a 10 block walk from my office.

I got great tickets, first row, dress circle, center section on the aisle, for the Wednesday night we wanted in April. I also saved Ticketmaster's exorbitant charges.

The ironic thing is that it only took me 5 minutes at the box office. I wasted a few hours over the course of the weekend, and TM was not showing me seats that I wanted.

Sukie is horrified that I'm dragging him to see Mary Poppins. For some reason he got confused and thought we were seeing the Sound of Music. He told me that that would have been bad enough, but at least the Sound of Music has nuns. All Mary Poppins has is bad English accents.

Why do I have a feeling that in Old Western times, you guys would have climbed into the wagon to watch the buffalo go by... :rotfl:

You are going to LOVE Mary Poppins!!!! I saw it on Broadway 2 years ago at Xmas... I believe the original MP is in the road cast. She was very good. I hope they were able to travel with the set they had...it was INCREDIBLE and I won't tell you about the end... ;)

When do you go to see it?

It's a darker version of the story... told mostly from the point of view of MP and Mr Banks... not the children... (more like the books than the movie...)

And tell Sukie there will be men in tights...

IAN!!!

I just checked... it IS the original MP and Bert from the Broadway cast... they were FANTASTIC!!!

I'm almost jealous - except I got to see it right after it opened... but I don't think before Monica saw it...

Monica... don't spill about it ok...;) ;) ;)

Here's a picture of the first cut for the new ships...

Our tickets are for April 1st.

I'm glad I got the tickets I wanted. For musicals, I only like to sit in the dress circle, I despise sitting in the orchestra. I think to appreciate a musical you need some distance.

you definately don't want to be too close for this one but also not too far in the back of the orchestra... if you're back there you miss alot because the set is immense and some of the effects happen up high... I was 1st balcony 5th row at the New Amsterdam Theater...

I'm sitting on the 5:03 waiting for it to depart, and doing a posting simply because I can!

GAYLEAN: Don't look! You'll cringe at Tyler's choice of outfit today. :rotfl:Red sweatpants that are too short, green sweatshirt, socks with turtles on them, and camo/black shoes! :lmao:

Some pics from today. Tyler really wanted this bedroom set. :rotfl2: The bed alone would take up more than 1/2 his bedroom! But if I ever win the lotto, I'm going to buy the whole set, living room and bedroom!

And yes, the gun with him in every picture is the one we bought. ;)

I wouldn't have noticed if you wouldn't have said anything. I'm really not that way with other people's kids. I'm not really sure why I am with my own. Plus boys are different than girls. Ethan mostly wears jeans or neutral colored pants so I don't have to worry about matching as much. Plus he couldn't care less about what he wears so I still pick out everything for him. He is easy in THAT way. By the time I was in 3rd grade my mom didn't even get up to make sure I made it to school so I always looked a mess and my hair was always ugly. I guess it stems back from childhood.

Yeah. It just dawned on me today how SOON that really is!! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

It's bad. I just keep saying we are going at Spring Break. Looking out my door it isn't even close to being Spring. So it fools you into thinking you have quite some time to go still.

And then you look at the calendar ..... :scared1:

And I've got LOTS to do.

It will be fun, plus Shannon will do most of the work. You just have to drive

I'm with Sukie. That sounds absolutely dreadful ;)
