We ae headed down just for the day for Willie's bday, but he told me he wants no one else to join us. Funny he has a plan in his mind of what we are doing...I hope I can keep up :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I knew that. I was just saying you are all here at different times.

Well, looks like we are now going to DL for sure.

I just contacted our travel agent and booked our trip.

We will be leaving here on March 14th and getting into Anaheim on the 15th. We will be there until March 21st.

We have also bought tickets to Seaworld so we plan to do that on one of the days (I'm leaning towards the Wednesday).

Unfortunately, we won't be there over a weekend so it is only a weekday trip for us. Sorry for those that can't make it except on a weekend.

Dismeet? Anyone able to come to DL during that time?

I don't know how tired you'll be but we could do it Sunday evening or Friday night. Probably not times you would want to go to DL anyway. We can take the kids out of school one day but I'm sure not everyone is willing to do that. How much were the Sea World tickets?

I guess it's 65.00 and 55.00 for the year for us. It looks like you get two days for the price of one. You aren't going to use it. I don't think it's a two day thing. Oh never mind it says you can use it until 12-09. I guess you have to come back.

It was a packaged deal for us all total. So I'm not sure the exact price of everything.

I do know that it is the one day tix for Seaworld and I am betting they cost us $236 for all 4 tix.

I'm not sure what time we would be getting in on Sunday. It all depends on how far we get Saturday night. I originally thought a Sunday night get together would be good, but that was when we were getting in at around noon. But we won't be coming in that early now, and I have no idea when we will get there, so planning something might be tough for that day.

Well we're open for anything. I have to let Jon know in advance if you want to do it during the week. Venetia, what do you guys think?

Sorry Marilyn. I didn't even notice you were IMing me until you were gone. I had 100 notifications and friend requests :faint: I added all the friends but I erased all the applications. Sorry guys, just too many to look at.

..
this type of painting would actually look good in our house. We are considering selling our house in the next year or so.....I sure hope that doesn't mean we have to cover up all our Tuscany colors....red,green, gold, etc!!!!!

Here's a couple shots from today:
First, here's the girls all proud about the wall they painted. I gave them both a roller and they got to do the first coat.

Here's a shot of the wall connecting to the kitchen. My poor dining area is completely buried in living room stuff.

And here's a shot of me showing off the hallway. The end wall is actually the same colour as the side walls, just looks lighter in the picture.

Ken gets to do the 2 darker brown walls tomorrow. :upsidedow

it looks great to me!!!! I love the arched doorways!

Let me put it this way, Rockford is about an hour's drive (or less) from Chicago, and I have been there exactly once in 26 years, and that was about 15 years ago. I have NEVER had a desire to go back.

Rockford was where we went to go shopping at the big Cherryvale shopping mall....also where we went to go the the specialist if we had a medical problem. Patrick was in Rockford Memorial Hospital for 2 weeks after he was born. Rockford was a nice city to visit. and the drive there was beautiful along the Rock River especially in the fall. We would go to Grand Detour where John Deere invented the steel plow and then up to Rockford. There was a beautilful overlook of the river just north of Grand Detour. I guess when you live in a small town, a big place like Rockford was an adventure.

I know, I was just teasing :flower3: I want to go to the Oprah show. I wonder if it's hard to get in. It's easy to get into the ones over here.

You know, I don't know, but I could ask around.

Are you moving far?

I think it's great that wilson want you to himself. Did you ever find out if Paul can join you? And do you have any question you want me to get when I'm there on Wed. You know how it works and such.

Paul decided to stay home and work. Wilson was fine with that. I think you are right he wants to have a day just the 2 of us:lovestruc

:cool2: I wasn't kidding..... okay I was :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Well I would do it over a few trips, not one long one.

And, I would visit Chicago!!!:thumbsup2

Well as you know Marilyn, I LOVE Chicago and I say that based on having lived in several cities in several countries.

thanks Kathe and Holly too. I keep thinking that more years it will feel better, but it just isn't true I get more and more upset and lonely for him :sad1:

Nan  I understand this :sad1: I know we've all been chatting for a very long time now, but I also know I've missed so very many posts, just haven't been able to always keep up, you know...life gets in the way! I've read a lot of posts about your mom, would love to hear some stories about your dad if you feel up to it

you know I was kind of envious of all of you that have MLK day off, but I just remembered.......

I'M GOING TO DISNEYLAND

on wed for my birthday.:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

WOOHOO!!! Hope you have a wonderful day :goodvibes

Man.....a girl goes out for lunch and a couple of movies, and you kids just chat away! Still have about 18 pages to catch up on....

Peg and I did a double feature today as we had some free movie passes. First we saw Last Chance Harvey which was WONDERFUL. It was great to see two actors (Dustin & Emma) do such wonderful work. Then we saw Slumdog Millionaire, another wonderful movie. Two good choices today.

Funny thing, there was hardly anyone in the theater or out on the street today...think they were all doing the same thing they will be next week.... cheering the CARDINALS on to victory! :cheer2:

OK...back to catching up, though I may have to wander off to bed before I get done...very, very sleepy.

Deborah, love the short hair, this cut is perfect for you!

Oh.....better change my signature before I forget...THANKS KEN!

.

Jackie, glad to hear you liked Last Chance Harvey! I love Dustin :goodvibes This movie got really bad reviews here:sad2:

The worst part is that I was wearing my swim suit :sad2:

 You mean as opposed to not wearing it ?:beach:

It's been sort of odd, over the past couple of weeks, my 11:00AM Sunday WW meeting have been very curious about my experience losing weight and my journey.

I told them something yesterday that had them both riveted and laughing.

I told them that in the 18 months it took me to reach goal, nobody (other than Sukie) knew I was on Weight Watchers. I kept it a complete secret. If people asked me whether anything was different, I would tell them that I got my hair cut.

I told them that I had decided I would never, go to dinner with friends and announce that I was on Weight Watchers.

The part that made the meeting laugh, was that the thought occurred to me that I had never before gone to dinner and announced to the table, "Hey everyone, I want you to know that I'm planning on overeating tonight. I also plan on making choices that are really high in fat and in calories. In fact, I'm going eat to the point of it being painful. So painful that what you don't know is that I'm going to have to unbutton my pants when I get in the car, just so I can drive home!"

Since I had never made an announcement like that before WW, I decided then why should I suddenly announce that I was planning to eat sensibly and healthy.

The meeting room was roaring.

Of course I told them that everyone's journey is personal, and that was my strategy and worked for me. Just like some members might really want the support of friends and family, in which case, that would be their journey.

Be via, bicycle, bus, train, car, airplane, or pogo stick we all have the same destination, but the experience of our journey might be different, as may be the scenery and stops along the way.

(Don't anybody fall over because when I want to, I can be quite sympathetic.)

I'll miss your birthday Lisa. I'm heading home on the 18th. It sounds like a weekend might be best for everyone. I'm only there for one weekend. What does everyone think, would Sat May 16th or Sunday May 17th work?

Kathe

We may be up in St. Augustine that weekend. I'm just browsing accommodation and it is looking a bit expensive so we might stay in Orlando, or go to Vero Beach. WE won't know just yet. Are you there the week before or after? If Monica is up for it we could meet in an evening.

Marilyn, we may have to do two meets that week. The weekend for those not available during the week, and sometime during the week for those with other plans on the weekend, of course, I'll be available for both :goodvibes :thumbsup2 Let us know when you've finalized your plans. I believe that Connie could meet up possibly in the afternoons or evening depending on if she gets her requests at work, and Monica can make it if it's a little later in the evening, after 7:30. I'm arriving on May 11th.

I love it Ian :goodvibes I have to say though, if I get the pogo stick, I will not be making it to my destination :upsidedow
