We loved having Maryann live with us so much...I think that is why we decide we would be fine with Vanessa!

Mayann had growing up issues... pushing the limits ... just like any teenager....but all in all it was one of the best parts of my whole life!!

Annie has 9 - 15 year old girls over to sleep over. They all just came in form the High School Basketball game. My house smells like popcorn....guess that is better than beer...

3rd day of the workout and I still can't fully do the whole thing, but I'm getting closer! My biggest weakness is pushups. My arms just aren't strong enough to push 200 pounds up and down! Didn't take me as long to catch my breath after finishing.

Remember 2 nights ago I was craving sweets but didn't have any in the house? Well, I still don't have any. I resisted the urge to buy some! That NEVER happens! Friday is usually my day to stock up with junk food on the way home and splurge by pigging out that night. Not tonight! For my snack at work, I had walnuts mixed with dried cherries. Might not be great for me, but has to be better than the poptarts I usually munch on all day.

Hi All....I'm up for a bit again. John will be home soon with KFC dinner. We're trying the boxes for the first time. Sorry Bubba. I've been pretty good this week food wise....since I spend so much time lying down, I don't eat anything anymore. Dinner tonight will be the first thing I've eaten all day....so I can afford some calories.

I have a grand announcement to make......dadadadum.....for the first time in many months.....John does NOT have to wrap a new dressing on my leg. Both legs are dry. YEAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! It took a week of lying down to get them this way. I'm up to 6 hrs a day......in many intervals......and I'm stopping there.....actually, it takes 24 hrs to do the 6 lying down so that's enough......but it is working. The swelling, or edema, is down by 50% in both legs. It may take another week to get them back to normal size, but we're moving in the right direction and have stopped the leaking!!! I'm still taking antibiotics so this infection should go away and the wounds can finally heal. I'm so relieved.

Just wanted to share this great news with all of you. John just got home and I'm going to eat some dinner.

My Dsis wants to haver her family and ours go to Mexico next spring. She's got a DS16, DD12, and DS10. And if we all go together, her kids can watch mine at least one night and we can have a adult evening out

It's Summertime!

It was 40F when I left work today. I did not wear my hat or gloves, and had my coat open.

The mile walk from the commuter train home was great! And I think one of the best things was there there was also still some light in the sky!

Tomorrow it's supposed to go up to 49F or even into the 50's!

Isn't the daylight after work wonderful! We actually had sunlight for shopping tonight, but it was DARK by 7:30 when I pick Shaelyn up for Brownies.

A woman was sitting at a bar enjoying an after work cocktail with her girlfriends when an exceptionally tall, handsome, extremely sexy middle-aged man entered. He was so striking that the woman could not take her eyes off him. The young-at-heart man noticed her overly attentive stare and walked directly toward her. (As all men will.)

Before she could offer her apologies for so rudely staring, he leaned over and whispered to her, 'I'll do anything, absolutely anything, that you want me to do, no matter how kinky, for $20.00 only on one condition...'

Flabbergasted, the woman asked what the condition was. The man replied, 'You have to tell me what you want me to do in just three words.'

The woman considered his proposition for a moment, and then slowly removed a $20.00 bill from her purse, which she pressed into the man's hand along with her address. She looked deeply into his eyes, and slowly and meaningfully said....

We got home late tonight. We stayed in SB and had dinner with my Auntie at chili's. I have to say it was the best meal I've had there. I am so proud of myself. I planned in advance on what I was going to have, and I stuck with it. I knew the points of what I wanted.and some of the points are I had the Guiltless Carne Asada Steak. I added black beans and rice. And it was only 13-14 points.(chili's has the nutritional values .pdf on the web site. )
