It's 45F right now!

When I let the dogs out a few minutes ago, I was out on the front porch with in just my lounge stuff.

As predicted the mess is starting. Lake Eastwood is already forming at the bottom of our front stairs

What actually is your 'lounge stuff' Ian? Do you mean nightwear, or your smoking jacket?;)

We still have a little snow, but we are supposed to get to 60 degrees on Sunday!!

I don't know if you guys know this or not, but about 20 years ago I took an illegal person. She had snuck into the USA from Trinadad. She was 15 years old and had been abused by her Uncle (that is who she was staying with here in the USA)

Daniel was a baby....she moved in with us and we home schooled her enough to pass the GED. We went to laywers and started all the processes to make her legal. (She did after 10 years get green card and just 3 months ago became a citizen of the USA) We let her friends come live with us on and off. She applied to George Mason University and got in. She got her 4 year degree in 6 years. She is now 1/2 though her masters. At 25, she met the man of her dreams and they married and moved in with us. They saved money and bought a house. Sold that house at the height of the housing market and made $200,000 and bought a single family home. They had a little girl.

We love Maryann...she is like our daughter. She calls me mom and her daughter call me Grandma. She has a mom and dad in poverty in Trinadad. We send them money and things...to help them....

Well I bought Maryann's mom an airplane ticket to come here! She arrives tomorrow!! Maryann is about the have her 2nd child, a son. Her mom really needs to be here with her and I am so happy I can help!

We have a baby shower for her tomorrow....baby should be here soon!!

This is an amazing story, but I can totally see you doing this. You have made such a difference in this woman's life.

Last season when Ben went to turn the wheel he said something about whoever doing that couldn't come back to the island, so I don't think he's been back. I think he has to get the other 6 back, in order to be able to get back himself.:confused3

Sorry, Deb! I just hope Penny and Desmond get to stay together, and their Charlie is a cutie.

I did finally watch this week's episode. I just knew that Ben was behind taking Aaron away from Kate. Remember he tried to steal the baby from Claire on the island because they have the problem of all the babies dieing in delivery if they were conceived on the island.

I love that Jin is still alive. I didn't think they were going to kill him off. He's very popular.

Isn't it interesting that the Oceanic 6 all just happen to meet at the dock in Long Beach all together. Then you know that Desmond and family are on their way to CA....not sure of the timeframe as compared to the rest of them being there.

I love watching the previous week also with the subtitles. It explains so much more about what is going on that I sometimes don't pick up as I'm watching it. Like Eloise being the name of the lab mouse and the woman that helped Ben. She is still a big mystery.

I love Lost because there's so many layers that all connect together. Can't wait for next week to see what happens with Sun and Ben.

When we booked the Western was around $500 cheaper.

Now that's exactly what I remember. Somehow it is now $100 more than the Eastern. How did the price change like that? I thought we had locked it in when we booked it. I'm very confused. Did your price change at all???

I only know Jackie, Cheri, Angie and Dennis and PJ. I think Steph is onboard too, and one or two thers I don't now as well.

Oh, you are going to have such a good time. I would LOVE to sail with Angie and Dennis and PJ again. I miss them.

Well I couldn't spend hours on my front Deb. I didn't realise you were doing that. Even more well done.

Thanks Marilyn, it's not easy....but it's necessary so I have no choice but to get it done.

It's a completely unrealistic expectation, but for the moment I will hold my tongue and collect facts, then let the facts speak. I think we can achieve some economies via automation of software testing, but not what they are thinking. Plus, it's not that automation reduces headcount, just trades from lower, less expensive skill sets to higher, more expensive skill sets.

(Bet you didn't think I could talk big boy talk, eh? I'm more than just a pretty face!)

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: .....big boy talk.....too funny.....you so are a pretty face and much more....:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2:

I swear, planning this trip is driving me nuts! Way back in the beginning, my first plan was to book a pirate themed room at Caribbean Beach Resort and use the pay for 4 days get 3 days free. They didn't have a pirate room available that week. Then, I figured since I wanted to do the pay for 4, get 3 deal, I might as well go for one of the Pop resorts and really get a great deal. Those came up as unavailable. So then I completely changed the plan and was trying to get something offsite for a good deal and share with my friend and her daughter. She started getting wishy-washy on me and decided she only wants to stay 3 or 4 days. Then I got the email yesterday from my TA about more rooms being released for the pay for 4 get 3 deal. So I emailed back right away for a quote. I got a phone call today and I can get Pop Century that week for $1595 for all 4 of us (if my friend still goes), including admission to one park each day. So I decided to take the deal and not wait for my friend to decide. My tax refund didn't get deposited today like it was supposed to, but the IRS says it will be there by the 10th for sure (Tuesday), and the TA has the reservation on a 5 day courtesy hold (5 days from Monday when booking opens), so I told her I'm going to just pay in full by that date and get it out of the way. Then, if my friend decides not to go, oh well, we'll still be booked. If she decided to go and only stay 3 or 4 days, I'll figure the cost per day and ask her for her share for those days.

IT'S REALLY HAPPENING! WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY IN JUNE!

Sounds like you have it all worked out.....congratulations on getting your trip booked. You're going to have a great time!!!:cheer2:

:cool1:WAY TO GO DEB! :cheer2:This is great news! You deserve to celebrate with that KFC! :goodvibes Hmmm.....I'm tempted to run out and get some. I live in a dangerous spot because less than a mile down the road is, McDonalds, Burger King, Arby's, KFC, Long John Silvers, Popeye's, Rally's, Wendy's, Tim Horton's, Hungry Howie's pizza, Jersey Giant subs, and Subway. They're all in a row on both sides of the street, just down the road. :scared:

Thanks Holly....WooooHoooo....No wonder you don't cook....what temptation you have every day down the road.

We have Subway, KFC and Taco Bell, Burger King, McDonalds....a local pizza place and a chinese food place and that's it. It's two mountains over on the main strip in town.

What a very moving story Lisa....you really are special for touching so many lives the way that you do.:flower3: :flower3: :flower3:

WAY COOL!!!! Next step... tap dancing lessons... :cool1: :cool1:

Thanks....tried that already....long time ago...and don't like doing it because it jars the muscles. I prefer ballet and jazz because it lenghtens the muscles. Although I do love watching someone else doing it....hahaha!!!

:snooty:

When Maryann and Nigel decided to get married, we worked with the Trinadadian embassy, and were were able to get her mom a 10 year visitor visa (that was one time living here in DC really helped). She came up for the wedding. We got her a ticket when Kira was born. Once the 10 years expired, they were happy to re-issue the visa for her because we all made sure all the laws were followed and all of the "t's were crossed and i's were dotted".

Once Maryann got her Green card, she could travel to Trinadad. Her dad has never come the USA. So she had gone home to see her dad.

Here is the scary part...Maryann is now 36 and I am 51 and I am older than her mom!! Maryann also had 2 older brothers. (I think her mom was 12 when she started having children.) One committed suicide (he hated Trinadad that much) and the other one came here to the USA after Mayann had success here. He has worked had and should be getting his green card soon!!

I am glad Pres Obama did not nominate me for Sec of Labor...I would have embarassed him with all my illegal alien ties!! But at least I pay my taxes!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

:cheer2: :cheer2: Way to go! :cheer2: :cheer2:
And congrats on getting your trip booked! :goodvibes

:cool1: :cheer2: Excellent news! :cheer2: :cool1:

Thanks Shannon!!!

My Dsis wants to haver her family and ours go to Mexico next spring. She's got a DS16, DD12, and DS10. And if we all go together, her kids can watch mine at least one night and we can have a adult evening out

And Yeah Jackie!

:joker:

Goodnight??? But it's Friday night!!

What happened to the Friday night party?

Uh oh looks like my battery is going to die on the laptop! I might be gone too!

I don't know, might just be all that exercise wearing me down. Besides, I'm trying to start going to bed at a normal time on Fridays so I don't sleep my Saturday away. And I have an appointment to get new tires on my car, so I wanted to be sure I didn't sleep through that.

Holly, great news about booking the trip. Looking forward to seeing you on the 7th!!

That is fantatic news Deb. Well worth the discomfort of lying on your front for hours on end.

It's a necessary evil but at least it's working. YEAH!

That would be me!!!:lmao:

How fantastic!

Well that is a step(or is it a sleep) in the right direction!

:rolleyes2

AND....the name of the girl holding the gun on Daniel Faraday back on one of the island 'time jumps' is Ellie.....and Daniel said to her "You remind me of..." then he stopped and said something else. And remember the scene where Eloise is in the chruch basement and she's writing all those formulas on the chalkboard????? And remember young Widmore is back on the island with young Ellie AND old Widmore had "Daniel's mother's" current address right in his planner AND Widmore is financing Daniel's experiements......::yes::
