Here I am in 1970, my High School Senior portrait.

I posted my black and white one....I am sure I have one in color somewhere.....maybe my mom has it.......

Anyone got the link handy to Cherie's photos from the cruise?

I've misplaced my link.

Thnx in advance ...

Oh yes for sure we are going to the doctor in the morning. I have to cancel her ortho appt.

If it wouldn't be too difficult for Gretchen it may be worthwhile to keep the ortho appt. Tell the dentist that you will cancel the appointment if reduces the ortho costs or else you're bringing her in and he can catch what she has!! :rotfl:

:wave2: Shannon. I missed you yesterday or I missed being here with you.

:wave2: Hi Gaylean! I missed you too! Hope you all had fun at your sister's Superbowl party.

We go to watch the commercials and pee during the game... :rotfl:

At least that's what I do. And I watch the half-time show. This year we didn't get the commercials, they put Canadian commercials into it. :sad1: Oh well, made it easier for me to stay upstairs and put the flooring down in the living room :thumbsup2

Bud usually has the best commercials....bubba and v, love the pics, you guys are too cute!

morning all, I haven't slept much so I have been up since 3, did the dishes, a load of laundry and straightened up a bit. I am taking the dogs to the groomers tomorrow and going to the mall to shop for me for a change!

3am :crazy2: I hope you enjoy your shopping tomorrow!

Probably because they aren't babies anymore ...

Yep I understand the female psyche ...

Oh, I never would have figured that one out. My brain doesn't work that way. I don't like babies and wouldn't go backwards for the world. Not an enjoyable time for me. I'm loving this age right now where he's more independent and doesn't need me for much. :thumbsup2 Instead of being needed, I can just have fun with him.

Haven't heard from Deborah today. Didn't she say she was going to Aberdeen for the weekend?

Well, it's midnight, I'm about to turn into a pumpkin. Have to get to sleep. I'm tired of waiting for videos to upload to Photobucket. Almost done, just a couple more to go, but I'm too tired, so I'll finish tomorrow night.

Goodnight all! :cloud9:

Not from that long ago (~12 years) but it seems like another lifetime

since I know this scanning from my office works easy I'll dig out more tomorrow...;)

I don't have cable. But I loved to watch it when I used to have cable. Gosh, I think it's been a year and a half without cable! But I'm going to get connected again when I get the new TV, partly because a new TV will suck with just a few channels, and partly because I want cable internet again because AT&T has given me too many problems. AND I'm starting to miss lots of shows I used to watch!

Holly, are all the TV's they are selling now digital? I can't imagine why the stores would still be carrying analog...but since you don't have cable you MUST have a digital tv or purchase a converter box for any analog TVs in the house. If not....in a few more weeks, you won't get any picture.

LOVELY! :bride: :groom:

Love to see a front shot of your dress. ::yes::

.

I'd have to report that Peggy scared the HECK out of her poor dogs with all the screaming during the game. She does get a little excited! :upsidedow

.

Okay, I've read through all 13 pages and I'm all caught up! Now its time to add my 2cents ;)

Loved seeing the old pictures of everybody! I leave it to Ken to post ours.

Nan - Congrats to Wilson! He looks so happy in the pictures from last night! :cool1: :car:

Deb - I hope you were able to stay lying down for the game. Lying down at home has to be better than being in the hospital. :grouphug:

Kelly - that's interesting about not mixing tylenol and ibuprofen. When Shaelyn had extremely bad fifth disease, she was in horrible pain. She wasn't quite 3 and it was so sad. I had her into emergency 3 times over the weekend because she kept getting worse, everything hurt and she couldn't sleep. I had tried Tylenol and advil (separately) and neither was working very well. The doctor said to stagger them so she got tylenol at 6am, advil at 9am, then tylenol again at noon, and advil again at 3pm, etc. He said doing that would keep her constantly at effective levels of pain reduction. He said it was safe to do for a couple days. It did help so she could actually get a bit of sleep. :wave2: we'll see you in March :goodvibes
Just south of DL on Harbor Blvd. Do you have a car?

Gaylean - You do look younger in that picture with the dark hair. I like your colour now better. It fits your sunny, bubbly personality better. :goodvibes

Lisa - I hope Gretchen is getting some sleep tonight. Good luck at the doctor's tomorrow.

Kathe - Did Serenity's mom ever take advantage of you. She knows you love having Serenity so mom can get away with it. :) But its great that you had fun with her.

Happy Superbowl Sunday everyone....I finally feel up to being awake.....was sick again. I went to the wound doctor appointment this week....I started with a half of a vicoden before the appointment and was in a LOT of pain from the visit. I kept taking more vicoden. I couldn't stay awake and when I did wake up I felt very sick....nauseous and dizzy....so I went back to sleep. Today I'm starting to feel like a person again and I have not had any vicoden since yesterday afternoon. The legs still hurt but it's bearable pain. Michelle I know you can relate.

The wound doctor didn't put me in the hospital...thank all goodness. They cultured both legs and will phone in an antibiotic when they get the results. I have to lie flat...no more elevating...it's not enough. I have to stay lieing down for as long as possible every day. I have a hard time doing this because of sinus and back problems....but since the legs are worse and need the attention now, I just have to let the sinus and back bother me and just suck it up. So far I have only managed two hours a day at two separate intervals....not good enough.

The doctor insists that I get the edema swelling down so that it will stop leaking so that I don't get infections. That's the key. The only way for me to do it is to lie flat. I'm going to try to lie down for the whole game while watching the superbowl later. Wish me luck.

I also have to wet a wash cloth with epson salt and lie it on my legs on top of the wounds directly and keep the cloth damp to soak out the water in the legs. We haven't started doing that yet because the legs hurt too much so far. We'll start that during the week....maybe in a day or so when they don't hurt as much anymore.

I have to do it and make it work. The alternatives are worse.

::yes:: ::yes:: I can sympathize... take care of yourself and tell John you need to hang the computer and the TV from the ceiling so you can lay flat...

:cheer2:WOOHOO!!! :cheer2::cheer2:

WAY TO GO SPEED WILSON!

:drive::car::drive::car::drive::car::drive::car:

:jumping1::jumping1::jumping1::jumping1:

Yup... I agree!!! :thumbsup2

Thanks Marilyn, yes it has been a long time with both ups and downs....we'll be coming up on two years this spring.

Yes, watching the game will hopefully help me to be able to lie down for a good long while.

Ya gotta admit, it's better than being in the hospital.

You got it!!! We want to keep you healthy for a long time...

Now lay back down... will you???

Here we go.....this is John during his senior year of HS in 1969.

scan0008.jpg

This is me taking a graduation pic with the boys cap and gown on....they wore red and the girls wore white....so I took my pic in red, but on graduation day I had to wear white.....a rebel even then....it was 1974.

deb10001.jpg

This is me and John at our wedding....we had it at home in Sag Harbor, NY in 1990.

scan0007.jpg

This is me and John a year or two after we were married when we went to Bethel, NY to the actual site of Woodstock.

scan0006.jpg

It's fun stolling down memory lane.

I love all the pics!!! :goodvibes You're such a cute couple...

Meant to go to bed at 10pm, but it is nearing 11pm now. So, goodnight.:wave2:

The Dis clock is 50 mins slow.

Night Marilyn... :cloud9:

It's important to bond with our appliances.

But has she named it yet?

Here I am in 1970, my High School Senior portrait.

So cute... :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Hey guys - DIS'ing and watching the game from the pc. and having a chardonnay.

everyone that has girls - are they always going to be so CHATTY??? And really Samantha asks some pretty intelligent things and I am thinking oh gosh I better google that before answering.

She is silly too, there is a rapid tax refund place on the way home from her school and there is a guy dressed as the statue of liberty out by the road promoting it, she asks, who it that supposed to be? I said - the statue of liberty - she says come on mom, he doesn't even have the book or the flame - ugh ok! She was right though!

tonight I felt like cooking so I did a appetizer type feast = spinach dip with marble rye cut bread, assorted cheese and crackers, I then made a sauce of spicey mustard, mayo, wing sauce and cut up boneless skinless into bite size pieces, rolled it in bread crumbs and fried it up and served with bleu cheese dressing, pretty darn good, then I made a buffalo wing sauce - all are not WW friendly but John and Samantha wolfed them down and I got my kitchen time in.

Publix has an "Aprons" cooking school here, where select chefs come in and teach certain classes and then they also have some basic cutting/presentation/etc classes, I am looking for someone to do it with me, I will go alone but it is way on the other side of town - and I so hate to drive - so hopefully I can find someone to carpool with.
ok enough chatter about me.

how is everyone?

Ian - you and Sukie warm? I missed it - did you rev the engine as you hit the gas?

Marilyn - when are you guys coming in May ---- we can meet up, it would have to be in a resort restaurant though, our passes expire after ESPN the weekend and I don't think we are going to renew any time soon.

Next year is 10 "married" years and we are really thinking of doing the April repo, I am kind of worried about the weather, I don't mind the boat rocking or anything, and none of us experience sea sickness - but I was reading reports and the pools were closed due to waves splashing over...which again, hey - Diversions here I come, but will there be other things to do to fill up all those sea days?

Don't worry V... we have Ian on it... After Shots, you won't remember a thing... :goodvibes :goodvibes

Holly where did you get a pink vacuum? do they have purple???

V... stay away from EBAY!!! :lmao: :lmao:

so this means sleep all day - shots around the ship at night??:thumbsup2 no worries on the weather!!

& you were worried???

if we didn't do the repo, I started looking into adventures by disney - great places but WOW on the prices!! not including airfare! Kind of shied me away.

DH wants to train across Canada, wants to do the whole Grand Canyon/Tombstone thing, other than that, I plan, he goes.

I think Canada we could do soon, I would wait on the gC until the girls can ride and control their own mule, like age 30?

Like when they are old enough to do it on their own?

ok talking to myself, you can see V is coming back!!

Halftime ---- if you like Bruce ---------- he is on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: (for V coming back... Bruce has enough Jerseyites rooting for him... :thumbsup2 )

LOVELY! :bride: :groom:

Love to see a front shot of your dress. ::yes::

.

It was my mother's wedding dress :bride: and mine too :bride: I was so excited to wear it. I love(d) that dress, so soft. It's velvet.

ok, I'm also going to rescan it. I used the office scanner, but just came inside and used the good one in the house and the pics are much clearer...molly and wilson to come...

Nan - Congrats to Wilson! He looks so happy in the pictures from last night! :cool1: :car:

thanks shannon :cheer2:

my doctor also told me to use tylenol and motrin (is that the same as advil???) motrin every 8 hours and layer tylenol on top every 4 hours.

Kelly, can you please site your understandings? I really do have an interest in this as I've used the above plan with both my kids and will again unless I can see it is bad for them. I'm taking both the kids in for annual check ups (they are both long over due) in March and I will ask this specific question of their doctor too I'd like to see what his thoughts are.

my favorite picture of Miss Molly. She was 3 years 3 months old. This is her 1st school picture princess:

Here is Willie on his 3rd birthday. You can see in those days he had a love of other kinds of engines ;)

A few shots from around here yesterday... (Bubba... this is the deck we were discussing...still interested??? Cause I can't get my sliding glass door open & you'd have to run out the front door around my neighbors townhouse and out to the deck... (and back again...))
