Now that the 1/2 off deposit is back, it's tempting to book the 9/12/09 cruise, especially considering final payment wouldn't be due for almost a year, so that would be plenty of time to save. Tyler would have just started 2nd grade by then, and I can't imagine he'd miss anything too important that 2nd week of the school year.

HMMMMMMmmmmm.....

DO IT DO IT DO IT DO IT!!!!

Oh oh oh oh, I'm so excited!!!:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:
:rotfl2: I knew I'd get things riled up here! ;) I didn't say for sure, so don't get excited yet. With the new lowered mortgage payment, plus my recent raise, plus I work lots more hours (and that won't be taken away from me), it's definitely doable this time. I still wouldn't tell Tyler though, just in case I needed to cancel for whatever reason, at least until after full payment. I don't want to have any stresses this time. This time, if I can't manage after all, I'll be able to cancel without disappointing him. That would mean no smaller trips in between, (sorry Ian & Sukie, that would mean I can't come to the wedding) but would be well worth the wait. :thumbsup2

Not for sure yet.....I'll have to think about it over this month and sit down and budget the next year and make sure I can do it for sure this time.

With all the recent conversations about family, I thought some of you may appreciate this saying that was sent to me.

Happiness is having a large, loving, caring, close-knit family in another city.

Love it but can we tweak it to say another country or at least state! :lmao:

Oh my, it's absolutely quiet here at work, everybody's at lunch, the phones aren't ringing (which is strange). AND I'm struggling to stay awake because I have NO work to do.

Oh I hate it when work quiet seem go slowly, if busy go quickly.

I hope I meet you all in 2010??:flower3:

I thought that too since my in-laws live two hours away :lmao: I didn't want to change it because I wasn't sure if it was a famous saying or not ;)

Glad I caught Monica's comment, because I missed Sukie's the first time thru :scared1: That really means he gets no say :lmao:

truthfully, I'm the mouthpeace...kelly is the brains behind the opperation ya know ;) and I sense there will be a coming together to make sure all is good with you before it's sprung on you (right kel?)

OH, Yeah. I think we'll have everything ready in the next 2 weeks with fun announcements and assignments for everyone coming.

This is your conscience talking.... (Try to sound like a ghost here) Save your money for medications.... Have a year supply saved up for..... Stop the pounding!!!!! Stay happy all year, not just for one week every 2 years.

Yes, 3000 miles is my rule...but 5000 is better.

Well said!:thumbsup2

Cork was quite active on here and was our and Carol and Dougs table mate with her hubby Rich. We had a ball.

She has been busy and has had some health issues.

Unfortunately she had her appendix out last week too, but is home and recovering now!!! Poor Cork.

I want back too!

I did not know her name--any of her names.

Sorry she has been so busy. And ill. I hope her recovery goes well.

Looks like I will need the tissue box nearby when I watch that!!

:rotfl2: I love it! Oh, don't worry, I had the same conversation with a couple co-workers. They knocked me back down to reality. :thumbsup2 Plenty of other opportunities to cruise in the future. Tons and tons of other chances down the road, no need to rush it for next year. :goodvibes

Lisa (calmom)!!! I received the video today!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH! I see you mailed it on 7/1, so that darned postal service sure took their time getting it here. Anyway, it works perfectly and I love it! Tyler's gonna love seeing it when he gets home Saturday.

Does anyone know how to bake crisp bacon? My friend does it so I looked on line and there are a million different recipes. It isn't going to be the main dish so I would love to pop it in the oven and leave it. Since it is so slow around here, I probably won't get my answer until it is too late!

I'm here, but I'm no help.
I have never baked bacon.

Always pan fried it and
splattered myself when it popped--hated that.

When they came out with the pre-cooked bacon, I was thrilled. Want it soft--microwave shorter duration. Want it crisp--microwave longer!

My kind of cooking.::yes::

Thanks. My mom thinks I'm crazy but my friend did it the other day while I was and it turned out crisp and no burns :yay: I'm trying it now so I'll let you know.
