Very sleepy. I think all the being outside today and all our busy fun wore me out. Very cold too. Off to shut the windows and head to bed. Goodnight all! :cloud9:

Holly - I got them on a USB thing and ready to send to you! PM your address and I will send it off. I got the last two questions. I'm not the best (perhaps I am the worst) video taping person. It shakes a bit. I did get a video of the questions, and the fireworks at the end - so I'm sure Tyler will like it!
Lisa
Oh Lisa, thank you so much! Tyler will be so happy! OK....off to PM you now.

Lisa,
I just want to echo other thoughts. I talk to parents whose children are now leaving the house and they have such mixed motions. They are sad for the loss but they are excited and happy about having time for themselves. You don't seem to ever take time for yourself, so you probably don't spend much time looking forward to such things. Therefore, you are left with just the sad feelings of not being able to give. There is so much you will continue to be able to give, through your church, community, and well - you give to even us on the internet! It sounds like a very sad time saying goodbye to someone who has become a part of your family. Can you plan a visit?
Lisa

One more thing.....when we were at the museum today, the gift shop had 4 or 5 sculptures by this Junkyard Dog guy from Kentucky who recycles scrap metal to make yard sculptures. I fell in love with this peacock and SO want it for my yard! http://www.yardstuff.mobi/YB-B34.htm

Tyler thinks I'm nuts and told me it's really ugly. :rotfl2: Well, yeah, but it's ugly in a cute way!

And you could probably hook the TV up to it and get great reception!!! :rotfl2:

:rotfl2:

When you post things on Ebay, do you always put a photo? The one thing that slows me down is dealing with taking photos of things and then posting. Oh yes, and then there is the packing. And the shipping. Guess there are a few things slowing me down..

Yes, always a picure... and I tell a story about what it is, how it came to me or why it's leaving. I try to add a little humor when possible.

:rotfl: Well, I'm still up because I got hooked looking all over their website at all the different JUNK they have! I found moose sculptures and I collect moose. I need to forward that website to my mom before my birthday. ;)

OK.....I was headed to bed until the thought of that sculpture popped into my head. Good grief. Going for real now.

Framed Disney Stuff (second try)

I've heard from some people that the images I posted earlier today of the framed Ducky lithograph and framed pins were not displaying, so I'm giving it a second try:

Still red x boxes for me :confused3

Moose????

Oh...now I have to go back and look again... did they have any bears or loons????

We are home from Tom's All School reunion. The school no longer exists so there are no new alumni and kids had friends in other classes so they have everyone back at once. Neat idea actually.

I used the Raspberry to stay caught up with the thread but now cannot do what I planned because they locked Remember the Magic Thread One.

I was going to copy the pictures of the PJ party and the DIS mascots and put in the names as best I could figure out and then ask people to fill in the blanks. If you want to do that we need someone to post them again (Carol?) and I will try to keep it organized until everyone is labeled. If people already have the info they want, then there is no need.

Have a great week,
Jan :earsgirl:

They're showing!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes

Nice job...maybe I'll be inspired...

What'd you do with the big pin?

It apparently helps if I don't click the "hide photo" checkbox!

I haven't done anything with the big pin yet.

When she quoted it they showed up beautifully. You chose well and your framer did a lovely job. Do you have a special place to hang them? That is our problem, where to put them?

Jan :earsgirl:

But now I see that you knew that.

They're hanging in the dining area of the kitchen, sort of our Panama Cruise Corner.

Of course you know... you're going to have to tell me the color of the walls... I like that paint color... ;)

And then Nan will send Molly and Will to stay with you... :goodvibes

Oh I would take her in one second flat....so Nan better not offer unless she really means it. My kids say I collect kids!!

Now I can't sleep, it is 1:40am here....

Still, it's better than just watching mindless TV, though I think parents usually limit kids' time doing that too? Don't they?

:rotfl2: : :lmao: :rotfl:

Not the parents of the kids I used to work with!

hmmmm, I'd lose my file clerk then. How did you know that they do my filing for my clients???? And no luck for Cheri, Molly would tell her ah, no that is a good box you should keep it just in case you need it someday. Molly a.k.a. packrat extrodinarie (sp)

La la la la la la...I can't hear you!!!!!:rolleyes1 :dance3: :scared:

I was in the mood for spring rolls yesterday so got them at Costco. Took out our deep fryer, and now have spend the past 24 hours trying to find the cord. :confused3 One day, I will be all organized. I have a feeling it will be when I'm leaving in a one room apartment in an old folks home and all my kids have taken all my valuables. I hope they will bring me spring rolls when they come visit.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
Everyone's really witty tonight!

Hmmm. Don't you have a list of chores for the children to do? How could they have any free time if they are busy doing chores. Idle hands are the devil's workshop, or so they say.

I would imagine that there must be some livestock to take to market? Wouldn't that keep Wilson busy? And Molly, she should be spending most of the day churning, spinning and then weaving cloth for woolen goods?

(I'll have to see if we have any openings in Camp Sukie).

You forgot chopping wood and carrying water...

Gotta love and use the net, Ian. :surfweb:

I bought my first house 1990 for $168K, it now would sell for over $500K. I don't know how anyone starting out can afford to live in the bay area and buy. We are keeping this house for our retirement fund. I figure it will increase invalue way more than any other kind of investment we could make. I was thinking the other day that if Molly or Wilson stay in town for college we can boot them over to our rental and have some peace and quiet for ourselves :goodvibes

The first house my ex and I bought in 1974 cost $28,000--typical 3 bd, 2 bath, 1500 sq ft tract home. Now my cars cost almost that much.:faint:

One of our favorite ice cream parlors is not in our neighborhood, but is in another neighborhood, Bucktown (on the Blue Line), which is about 10 minutes away by car. It is Margie's Candies and has been there since the 1920's and has never been remodeled since about 1935.

We just force ourselves to have a chocolate turtle sundae. Just to be polite you understand:

This place looks WONDERFUL!:hyper:

Stay cool... Keep asking yourself "does this clutter make my butt look fat?" I put a sign up in the office that says that little reminder.

I wish you'd quit saying that!!!!:badpc:

Lisa...

I told my nephew last year that they were all growing up and they didn't need me anymore and how sad I was... he told me that they may not need me anymore but they will always WANT me....:lovestruc :lovestruc :lovestruc

What a nice way to think about it!

These look really nice, Ian! I didn't go the custom frame route. Mine will just look ordinary.:)

That would be great by me, Jan! Thanks for doing that!:worship:
