WBPC May 6th 2013 Wonder

My DH is getting his knee replaced Feb. 7 - they can swap stories. Also, his PT recommended that Iceman thingy as well. And a recumbent bike.[/QUOTE

Wow, all these knee guys can start a group of their own! We have a recumbent at home, that's what he uses daily now. DH surgery scheduled for Feb 19. Just a few days after we get back from our 8 night stay at Kidani! :cool1: So we are a little more focused on that trip right now, just 11 more days!

I know what you mean. I have a week long trip to Jambo House on 2/27. So I am really getting focused on that trip right now as all that remains fr this trip is the pre cruise stuff.

The recumbent bike must be the new replacement for the old CPM. :rotfl: When the ortho floor at our hospital did away with the continuos passive motion devices total knee patients breathed a sigh of relief. :crutches::crutches:

I visited Kidani last night for the drum circle. The place was ROCkin!

Speaking of gaming....

While my husband is a geek gamer, I am not. I am what I refer to (amongst our geeky silicon valley friends) as being a social gamer. I like Cranium, trivial pursuit, Scrabble, several of the games by Cheap *** Games, and heck... I even love a good game of Apples to Apples!

I know that Diversions advertises itself as having board games available to play, but on our last cruise on the Wonder all I remember seeing in there were the oversize Jenga, Candyland, and Risk. Maybe I wasn't looking hard enough, but I'm wondering if I should pack a couple of things for our 3-family party to play on sea days. What is your experience with finding games onboard the Wonder?

Oops! I just experienced my first filtered post! But really, that is the name of the game company! From here on out I shall refer to them as Cheap Donkey. Hopefully this will help keep me out of trouble. Lol

We Love Kidani! We were just there over Christmas as well, but in a 2BR with the kids (DD22, DS20, DS18). It will just be DH and I this trip, we should be able to relax and not have to worry about "keeping up!"
And we say that all the time around here, haha! Especially when talking with my parents!

Alicea, when I had my total knee, I had the ice machine thing. It is worth its weight in gold. My husband moved it each day from bedroom to family room. It made a huge diference in comfort. Cindi

Ha! Boy do I understand about keeping up. We took 2 of our adult children to WDW over Thanksgiving. They signed us all up for the Segway tour. Lots of fun..tootling around the EPCOT worlds...until I fell off and broke my wrist in about a dozen pieces. I'm not saying I wouldn't do it again. But I might buy stock in bubble wrap first. Cindi

Joining you all on this cruise!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi all, I (Jessica, 28) and my DH Jason (29), just booked our cabin for this cruise :cool1:

This will be our second cruise, ever. The first was the 4th of July Fantasy cruise last year. (we're hooked)

Yep. All it takes is one to get you totally hooked! ::yes:: This will be number 14 for us and we started with one 4 day back in 1998. :rolleyes2

We love Kidani too! We'll be there in early March after our Fantasy cruise

Westcoastnovaks and dvctigger. If your doc doesn't know about or use the iceman, get him to right a prescription for it. Your insurance may pick up the cost minus any copays you may have. The case manager or social worker on the hospital floor should be able to help you in finding

We are on for a game night.. ::yes::...we always bring: Scattergories....great game for a group, would love to learn "apples to apples" :wave2:

Lexa - thanks for designing the lanyard name tags! Haven't decided which one we might use yet - would you be able to provide blank versions of each as well? (We can add our own names)

Bit the bullet & got our flight to FLL - AirTran was running a pretty good sale on a nonstop (no one else offered nonstops from IND) - so we're coming in late Sunday afternoon. Will probably be staying at the Holiday Inn Express Ft. Lauderdale Airport/Cruise (will make those ressies soon) & taking the MJS Transportation shuttle Monday morning to the port.

Still trying to decide how to get home - whether to fly out of Long Beach (LGB), Orange Co (SNA) or LAX - I can find flights back to IND from all 3, the trick is finding the best deal. LAX is third on my list, actually - I prefer smaller airports!

Tracy, of course. I put my name on it so you can see who it looks like, but I'll upload blank ones later today. :)

UPLOADED to same location :)

Morning all! So much going on here! Glad to see our new home here, and thanks to everyone who is working so hard on this and contributing so many good things to our cruise. Hugs..

My first fe. My first disney cruise. I know its a bit different, but its OK. I used an old wall hanging, bought a 1$ red bag from walmart, and used hot glue. I'm only 1 person so its perfect for me. Thanks for looking. debbie (hope this works)
