After Castaway I am not planing on getting off the ship until we get to L.A.

Not me! Way too many places I haven't seen. I'm looking forward to exploring.

We don't always get off at Castaway. Now that is a quiet morning onboard. Lovely.

That is the nice thing about cruising. Some people like staying on the ship and some people like exploring the ports.

We love Castaway Cay and this will be our fourth time there. :)

It is a slice of paradise. :beach:

We will be exploring all of the ports.

Looking forward ::yes:: to Cartagena as this will be our first time in South America.

We went to Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas 5 years ago on a Princess Cruise and look forward to seeing them again on a "Disney" excursion.:cool1:

Still no outing in Cabo for us. Since our time is so limited I'm wondering about just wandering around??? Is this worthwhile??

Just got my mail...my cruise document booklet has arrived!!:cool1:

(very different from the docs I got when I sailed on HAL...HAL's looked more like a pack of airline ticket paper :goodvibes)

Anyone else get their DCL documentation yet?

Our cruise docs came today. No cabin assignment yet. Based on my previous VGT experience, I'm not expecting to be assigned a cabin until about two weeks from sail date.

That's our plan as well. Our last cruise had two days in Cabo, and we wandered one day and booked an excursion for the other. There are lots of shops within walking distance, and we enjoyed browsing around. We're looking forward to another wandering day!

Glad to hear cruise docs are starting to arrive. We just got DS's passport this week too. So things are coming together. We also went clothes shopping to get some new stuff for the cruise. Yay!

The lock on my mailbox broke about 2 weeks ago and I've had to catch the mailman to get my mail. I usually don't care because I get nothing but ads and bills, but I read about the documents arriving today and was bummed that's I'd have to wait until Saturday to get them.

Surprise. New mailbox key today and yes, my documents arrived.

No cruise docs for us yet. But I did stop by BevMo for a bottle of the Rosa Regale to see if DH likes it enough for us to buy a wine package onboard. :thumbsup2

ETA: My in-laws got their cruise docs today so maybe ours are waiting in the mailbox!

Does anyone have suggestions or opinions re: transfers from the port to LAX?

I would use DCL transfers for pure simplicity. But I've never had to get to an airport from the port; four cruises in a row I've managed to disembark in my home city. :D

I'm surprised too how slow this thread is going.....but that doesn't mean we will have less fun on our cruise.

Perhaps it's because there's so much chatter on fb?

No docs for us either yet.
