We've stayed at WH many times and have an upcoming BC stay for the first time. At WH, I assume you'd be in a 4-6 bedroom pool home with your own private pool. That private pool can be wonderful with an extended family group like you'd have! That might tip the scale to WH for me.
We just don't use the resort amenities in general - don't usually at WH and don't expect to at BC, so that doesn't come into play for us, but it may be different for you. We like the extra bedrooms/bathrooms at WH. I think you can get up to a 4 bedroom at BC (not sure how many bathrooms in that), but I think it would be more expensive than a 5 bedroom home at WH.
At WH you ARE staying at someone else's house, and for us it's nice to have a home to come back to at night. There's no (or very little) chance of noisy neighbors and if they are - they're not on the other side of the wall or above/below us - they'd be loud in their car on the street or something which isn't very likely.
I'm a bit concerned about some things like proximity to parking & potentially noisy neighbors at our upcoming BC stay but I'm hoping for the best! We park right in front of our home or townhome at WH so parking isn't an issue at all (we don't do the condos there where parking might be more of an issue).
