We've got 4 signs for the kids to use during the choosing of jedi trainees. They are stiff paper with home done laminate sticky stuff on them. How can we get them into the park?

We wrote on an orange folder and used it to store our touring plans in. Just stuck it in the stroller basket and never had a problem. It wasn't really smuggling, since the security people saw it down there when we went through the line. They never said anything to us. I guess it depends on how big your signs are? BTW, my son and the other child we gave our extra sign to were both chosen first to participate. They had a blast. Good luck!

What would you write on the signs??
How did you get chosen?
My boys would be very thrilled!!

I would hide them as DL has a policy of not allowing signs into the park. Most people I know hide them underneath the stroller, etc., or fold them up small and keep them in the bottom of a diaper bag. Then you simply open them while at Jedi Training.

My DD10 has been chosen 2 out of three times we've tried. The tip I heard (from PP Photog) was they will pick kids with a lot of energy. So have them jump up and down the whole time they are picking kids out. 2nd time she was picked she was the last one chosen. ;) she jumped up and down the whole time. Also, the first show seems less crowded and a little easier to get picked.

Obviously if you can go when the crowd level is lower you kids will have a better change at getting picked. My DD enjoyed it both times she did it.

Here she is one of the times she did it. (Notice how short her robe was.)

We had a few, made just like the advice given in the thread - so just manila folder sized. I shoved them flush against the inside edge of the diaper bag I had. We accidentally left them in there the subsequent days too and nobody ever noticed them. They worked like a charm and my son was #2 called up to stage! I actually still have them and plan on using them again for our upcoming trip. Good luck!
