Cruise is in 3 weeks :)
We have a 4 year old and 19 month old. My husband and I were married in St Thomas so we know the island a little bit and we have a few places we’d like to see while we’re there. But I’m undecided on transportation. With the 19m old would you:

1. Take Disney transportation. But it’s an open air safari bus. No seateblts. Not sure the 19m old will sit for 30 minutes.
2. Rent a car (driving on the left, hill driving and sharp turns. We did this years ago though, but not sure if it’s a waste of time getting and dropping off a car)
3. Hope an enclosed taxi (car or van) is available to take us where we want to go.

Thanks!

On our sailings, I have worn our infant/toddlers while driving around the various ports. I just bring along my soft sided carrier. Usually they fall asleep for the ride that way, which is a perk too.

We didn't have any problems finding a van/driver to take us around St. Thomas. A lot of islanders depend on cruise ship passengers for a living.

We rented a minivan and took the ferry over to ST John for the day. Much nicer island and more fun touring around on our own.
