Hey everyone. I know the standard email is wdw.guest.communications@disneyworld.com , but I was wondering if there was one specifically for one regarding Entertainment Cast and possibly the Characters in the parks. I saw a couple of links shared on one person's facebook, but I had to reload the page and sadly lost them :/.

I mainly want to toss Disney a letter asking them to bring back the shows and entertainment cast as quickly as possible- the characters were one of my favorite parts when I went there last May! It's heartbreaking to see and read their social media accounts and find so many of them have lost their dream jobs :(.

Thanks!

You got the most direct email, if you want them to actually call you for a chat make sure to leave your phone number.
I honestly don't think it'll matter how many if us call or email, Disney is following a plan they have laid out, with cases rising and now DL having to backtrack i doubt there's any priority to bring back entertainment, which is pretty expensive to offer

Yeah, you are probably correct- they know people will either be so Disney-starved they'll come anyways or the economy will bite for years and so "why bother spending so much money?" because the parks simply won't fill. It's just so disappointing and sad to see so many entertainers out of work because of this.

hmmmm... how was entertainment during the 2000s economic downturn?

It doesn’t matter how much you write it’s not going to change anything. This is a pandemic and the entertainment isn’t coming back until social distancing is relaxed and the parks can go back to being full. It’s not cost effective to put on a show for a theater at 25% Capacity.

With social distancing and Disney at smaller capacity there is no way they will bring entertainment back on foreseeable future. Honestly people crammed together watching q show- not likely to happen anytime soon. Many many people have lost jobs . Yes, it is sad but there is no way that it will be brought back.

There is the character cavalcade in the parks-
But no way will character meet and greets be back.

This is the new Disney and way of life for us for a long time. Disney isn’t going to jeopardize employee or visitors health and safety.

Yeah, but simply firing everyone was pretty awful- I see a ton of heartbroken CMs. This is more or less a plea for their jobs- hopefully either bringing them back or repurposing them elsewhere (I know of one Elena who is now a Flight Attendant/Instructor at EPCOT, but many others got dumped).

I know just one voice won't change squat, but I feel it still needs to be said once in a while. It nobody says ANYTHING, then it just looks like "oh well" compliance, you know?

There are more than just Disney CMs laid off...
It is a nice gesture to write but... there are thousand more laid off in other industries.

OP, I would write to GS, even if it doesn't "change" anything. At least let them know how you feel. It doesn't hurt anything and just might help.
